I agree 100% with this. I actually feel a bit uncomfortable sharing my views on this thread as of late as it seems to have become more of a love in. She is not a nice person. She is self-serving and selfish. I am a huge fan of her music but her whole woe is me act has just worn thin over the years. She is ALWAYS the victim. No matter what. I think maybe Taylor Lautner is the only relationship where publicly shes acknowledged maybe it wasnt solely on him.

Yes she may pepper in some self-loathing in her songs, I wouldnt marry me either, my words shoot to kill when Im mad etc etc but it never ever seems genuine to me. Its a 'Im sorry but.....'

There is a huge power dynamic with Joe and Taylor. MASSIVE. He was a big part of her life for such a long time. His reluctance to marry her or 'commit' (whatever that even means, is being married a goal?!?) does not mean he deserves the hell that will likely rain down upon him when this album drops.

The narrative she wants to push out will be pushed out regardless of whether its even close to the truth and so many of the fans will eat it up.

Im not saying John and Joe and Harry and Jake were all perfect partners. We do infact know that John is probably a really shit person but it just doesnt sit right with me that she never seems to acknowledge that actually she might be difficult to be in a relationship with.

Taylor Swift #35 Now That Wee Don’t Talk

I went for run yesterday evening. I was stopped at the traffic lights and in the gap between songs I heard the girls beside me talking about the new album. I paused to listen because I’m nosey . They were shit talking Joe for “locking her away” and how great Travis is for “letting her be free” / the “only” boyfriend she’s loved publicly so he must be the best.

They got a history lesson from an OG Swiftie. Informed them he isn’t her only public boyfriend and Taylor needed the time away from the limelight and Joe was good for that at the time. They didn’t know about Calvin, Taylor Lautner or Tom Hiddleston.

Her relationships and how they correlate with her albums should be my mastermind subject.

I’m just having a hard time placing the mature, self aware, poetic writing girl who wrote Folklore and Evermore, sat in her gorgeous plaid coat in the garden chatting so eloquently in the long pond sessions, to this one who has spent the last 6 months whooping and swooning over the loud brash not much between the ears apart from ball, cars, wrestling and always making a scene football player, making herself fit into the wag scene, and becoming a slave yet again to the fame and game of it all, like it’s almost a regress. Are they all just characters including this one and we never get to see the real Taylor, does she even know who she really is, the psychology of all of this wants me to almost write a thesis on it!

No need to be reposting it here and other places as well. Even if someone isn't the original poster, they still are the person who posted it here. And you were the first/only person to do so. So, yeah, they did not create the post, they did not agree with the post (supposedly), so why are they posting it? Do they not realize that they are posting hate one way or another?

someone else had already mentioned the post, i just provided the context so people didn't need to seek it out and see more 'hate' unnecessarily. i didn't repost it anywhere else? it's not your job to moderate a thread that shares fan experiences and information. technically buying merch is not gossip, buying tickets is not gossip, and yet people are still allowed to post on those topics. people are allowed to criticise the merch store, ticketmaster etc so why not the behaviour of other swifties when it impacts the topic of the thread (taylor swift)

1989 came out while I was with my abusive ex boyfriend, I remember especially listening to Bad Blood in the bath with my glass of wine while I was avoiding angering him. Wildest Dreams was another one I’d listen to, imagining someone coming to sweep me off my feet and away from him. It turned out the hero that saved me from him, was me.

It’s weird now hearing the re-release, with her raw vocals (especially “still got scars from your knife on my back” - so true) as a very happily married woman so many years on! It’s quite emotional actually.

From a security standpoint, you do need to be aware of the cuckoo/angry ones even if they're a minority. It only takes one person with a motive and opportunity for a security crisis to unfold.

This is a thread to discuss Taylor stuff. And of course that's gonna include the bad stuff, the trolls, the bad seeds. Anthropologically speaking, we're designed to focus on the bad. And drama, good or bad, is more interesting than the boring good times. I mean, this thread is proof. I hadn't even found it until Eras was announced. Now we go through threads like water.

I would advise against topic policing cause it's against the rules and can make threads turn hostile. No one here is inciting hate, no one's posting hate to Taylor. We're just discussing stuff.so it's not breaking rules or doing harm.
