Just want to share something a little bit personal if I may gang, Mr EnoughAlready has been going through it recently with his health and after a worrying tense wait we’ve just found out he’s not got the big C, so just wanted to thank this thread for keeping me going and distracted lately, as it’s been just the tonic with all the laughs and little community spirit we have going on! I can finally listen to Out of the woods TV I’ve had to skip it as was too close too home, but yes Miss Taylor Alison Swift..Are we out of the woods? Are we in the clear yet? Yeah, In the clear yet, GOOD!!!!xx

Anyone using passion or stress to justify aggressive behaviour is a dickhead. Anyone being aggressive and trying to justify it by saying theyre just being passionate is a dickhead.

Its telling men that its ok to behave in such a way if theyre stressed or in a high pressure situation.

Its what domestic abusers say, you just stressed me out, you shouldnt let me get wound up, its because I was drunk, Its because the football had got me wound up. Just no. Full stop.

Imagine someone who works in a high stakes, high pressure job getting aggressive like that with a colleague. Theyd be disciplined at the very least or sacked.

The movie was fantastic - it was a really great vibe. A few costumes and exchanging bracelets and lots of singing. It really is good for the soul: as a 48 yr old woman it’s the one thing my 19 still loves to do with me. She grew up listening to Tay and we’ve been lucky enough to attend most of her tours and this has been the most exciting.

Quick story that makes me smile
I recently had my final chemo treatment for breast cancer - I made all my nurses Soon you’ll get better friendship bracelets and they loved them.
I was in surgery getting my port removed- during this surgery (they keep you awake) the surgeon was talking to me to distract me as he was working. He asked me if I had any travel plans now I would be able to and I told him I was going to see Taylor in Sweden and he was so upset he dropped his ‘tools’ on me I cried indignantly- “how did you manage that?”. He said he’s tried desperately to get tickets for him and his wife and daughter as they’re mad swifties.

After my surgery in recovery he came to check in me and we swapped bracelets ‍🩹‍🩹‍🩹 I gave him soon you’ll get better and he gave me long love that he’d gone to collect from his locker.

It really is quite transcending of age sex and demographics the hold Taylor’s culture has on many people.

I just want to say (and I’ve had 4 wines so pls be nice) that it’s so lovely to see the community we’ve built on this thread and how people feel comfortable sharing their past experiences of relationships and how they link to Taylor’s songs.
I don’t have many people in my life who love Taylor’s music like I do so it’s so wonderful to come here and not feel stupid or silly for feeling so deeply about her music! It feels like a really safe space and such a welcoming commmunity! It’s definitely my favourite thread on here

As an international fan I am starting to get a little peed off at the moment. We’ve had to wait ages for a good quality version of Hits Different, now this new exclusive song to NJ shows which we probs won’t get a decent version of until god knows when (I know most the US will be the same with that).

We’ve had to sit and watch endless coverage of the Eras tour with no international dates in sight (even though in the UK we all pre-ordered the original Midnights album on the promise of pre-sale for non-existent dates). On top of that, we’re getting an email from the UK store every 5 mins asking to purchase yet another vinyl/remix/merch.

Maybe I’m just being jealous and impatient but it really is TIRING always rooting for the anti-hero.

I agree 100% with this. I actually feel a bit uncomfortable sharing my views on this thread as of late as it seems to have become more of a love in. She is not a nice person. She is self-serving and selfish. I am a huge fan of her music but her whole woe is me act has just worn thin over the years. She is ALWAYS the victim. No matter what. I think maybe Taylor Lautner is the only relationship where publicly shes acknowledged maybe it wasnt solely on him.

Yes she may pepper in some self-loathing in her songs, I wouldnt marry me either, my words shoot to kill when Im mad etc etc but it never ever seems genuine to me. Its a 'Im sorry but.....'

There is a huge power dynamic with Joe and Taylor. MASSIVE. He was a big part of her life for such a long time. His reluctance to marry her or 'commit' (whatever that even means, is being married a goal?!?) does not mean he deserves the hell that will likely rain down upon him when this album drops.

The narrative she wants to push out will be pushed out regardless of whether its even close to the truth and so many of the fans will eat it up.

Im not saying John and Joe and Harry and Jake were all perfect partners. We do infact know that John is probably a really shit person but it just doesnt sit right with me that she never seems to acknowledge that actually she might be difficult to be in a relationship with.

Taylor Swift #35 Now That Wee Don’t Talk

I went for run yesterday evening. I was stopped at the traffic lights and in the gap between songs I heard the girls beside me talking about the new album. I paused to listen because I’m nosey . They were shit talking Joe for “locking her away” and how great Travis is for “letting her be free” / the “only” boyfriend she’s loved publicly so he must be the best.

They got a history lesson from an OG Swiftie. Informed them he isn’t her only public boyfriend and Taylor needed the time away from the limelight and Joe was good for that at the time. They didn’t know about Calvin, Taylor Lautner or Tom Hiddleston.

Her relationships and how they correlate with her albums should be my mastermind subject.
