So I see she’s got 106 patrons already, giving her about £600 a month.

It really grates on me that she’s said “I don’t know why I didn’t think of making a space like this for us sooner”. She doesn’t even reply to her fucking YouTube comments. If she genuinely wanted to interact with her viewers, that’s the place she would start. Clearly she will only interact with her viewers if they are directly paying her to do so (completely ignoring the fact that her viewers watching her videos actually indirectly pays her anyway through AdSense and any sponsorship she gets off the back of her popularity, and comments on her videos help her engagement).

She’s really pissed me off with all of this Patreon stuff, I was hoping she would see how disgustingly embarrassing it was and drop it before it was launched (like every other project she attempts…) but she hasn’t and I’m unfollowing her on all platforms, I refuse to support this over-privileged greedy scrounger.

She is either incredibly privileged/entitled, or incredibly depressed— or both. There is no excuse for getting such an opportunity handed to you as a Sunday Times book column and then you can’t even be bothered to finish reading a book to meet the deadline. It’s disgusting. I can’t even imagine what her peers who got BAs and MAs in English Lit would think of basically snubbing that kind of opportunity because you can’t be bothered but you know there’s no consequence.

I say depressed because there is a chance she literally can’t bring herself to get it together to complete a task like this by the set date— in which case she needs help to address it, not more talk about letting herself off the hook or “going easy on herself”. Again, when there are no consequences there is no reason to really try and change.

“As you can see I’ve had a busy day” — sorry, what? We saw you go to the gym in the middle of the day (luxury)..and then wake your own child up from a nap after someone else took care of her all morning (luxury.. go to a lunch paid for by someone else (luxury).. and get a hair cut at a posh salon (luxury).. That isn’t being busy in the way Jess is perceiving it. That’s a life of wealth and privilege.

In her new video she is showing some FarFetch trousers. They are SILVER trousers and they are almost 500 pounds. And I quote: "...when they arrived, they had some of the silver coming off in larger flaps... and I just took it off. It gives you your own unique distressed style (...) And you won't be able to wash them. I've accepted that".

Honestly. I know she works with FarFetch, and I even enyoing her hauls (not that I can buy anything, but anyway). But is she trying to sell £500 silver trousers that you can only wear a couple of times? I have no words. You'd think she would at least promote things that are good quality and can last a long time considering their price. This is ridiculous and distateful considering the current crisis.

I hope it’s not 20+ days of us sitting in her wardrobe hearing ‘hello my loves today we did X and X’ then a 2 minute montage of London and the back of her kids head.

lol, Jess citing worrying about “the state of the world and the state of this country” as one of the reasons why she hasn’t been feeling well recently 🙃

imagine if she actually had to experience any of the shit that’s going on in the world instead of sitting in her ivory tower sighing sadly about it. how is there anyone left that takes her seriously anymore?

Personally I think sometimes people expect influencers to comment on every single topic and being honest - if she were to comment on every issue in the news thats all she would even speak about.
Not being a total Jess fangirl but as she’s a pregnant woman I have no doubt it will have affected her, but ultimately showing it on social media isn’t necessarily the answer, sometimes people do care about things but may not feel their voice needs to be heard, sometimes it’s good to step back and let others use their voices for good too. At the the end of the day Jess is super privileged and not even living in London at the moment, so her speaking out won’t really add to what others have already said (this is all my opinion obvs)

She looks like a mess tbh
She’s really fallen off in terms of her style and her aura in general.. Jess was so effortlessly cool and sexy. I always found the vibe she gave off to be really inspiring without trying too hard to be an ‘influencer’.

Ever since she’s become a mother I’ve really caught on to the little self deprecating comments she makes about herself. Whether it’s to do with her appearance or referring to herself as ‘old’ or ‘not cool enough’. I’m in no way trying to blame her but it’s just such a shame to see so many women slip into this mentality once they have a child.

Just going to pop some ‘old’ Jess photos down below for nostalgias sake and maybe a bit of inspiration.. her short hair truly was a slay! On another note, where have all these clothes gone?! I don’t recall seeing any of these on her Vinted and I would kill for those flaming red docs!

I get such a depressing feeling watching her videos now. There's just nothing vaguely interesting or uplifting in them. Even the gorgeous house is starting to look dull and dark. Makes me so sad that I skip through her videos now when they used to be a highlight for me.

Her editing and colour grading makes it look like she lives in a dystopian London where you can’t leave your house due to the polluted air outside. She makes London look like it’s in permanent darkness, no wonder she’s so down in the dumps.

I still just can't get over the fact that she's charging people for the "privilege" of talking with her. And she refuses to engage with anyone who isn't sending her money every month. Blows my mind.

If having a book club is all that she truly wanted out of it, she could have started one of those in so many online places, at any point over the last few years she's been doing this gig.

The whole thing has completely altered my view of her.

Also saying she doesn’t want innes to associate her being busy at Christmas, what a privileged position she finds herself in, spare a thought for those who work over Christmas and don’t have a choice and have to miss Christmas due to work….. honestly every time she opens her mouth the mask slips a bit more and more

Poor Jessie is obviously lower class, since she's had to resort to scraping by on Patreon subscriptions and selling old clothes to support her little family.

I just got around to her January vlog and this is far and away the top comment... You'd think she'd have deleted it if she's not going to respond (but honestly she probably hasn't even seen it)

I think I’ve commented before that Jess said their plan was to have this house for roughly 10 years before moving to a forever home.

They’re literally almost halfway through the decade and the house is still a shack.

Like she can't arrange for Zak to post in her name, a person who is actually working for her full time :D
Personally I think maternity leave needs to be more normalized for content creator. Her and Zak are both learning how to be parents and soaking up the newborn phase.

They have the means to not be working so they might as well take it.
