I’m sorry but it isn’t fair to JB, it’s like he can’t even enjoy this because it has to be about Amy. She shouldn’t have been there tonight.

In honour of the new thread and it being musicals week, it feels essential to once again appreciate those moments that make musicals week so special.

JB and Lauren should have been partnered together from the start! Obviously this is more his style anyway but she’d have brought him to life in a way Amy hasn’t managed to.

In the same vein as my recent rant I’ve just seen a
Clip on social media of Lorraine’s show. She reads out Zara’s statement, knowing full well the physical abuse she has endured and flippantly declares
“It’s all about matching up the right people really isn’t it”
Beyond fuming that a woman with such a platform
Would make that statement. Does anyone know an email address/ person to contact at ITV to complain? I feel this needs to be challenged. So bloody dangerous to women who are trying to speak up

I was lucky enough to get tickets to see the show live yesterday… was epic.

And yes, Vicky is annoying - so hyper and all over the place, and didn’t feel her dance was THAT good. Harry shouldn’t have gone. La voix and Aljaz relationship is amazing - Aljaz comes across as really nice too. Alex should have gone in my opinion. Shirley had a make up artist over every few mins. Nikita is more attractive in real life than tv!

Ellie handled that incredibly well and actually has just proved exactly why the representation is so important, how many of us (me included) have speculated about how she would cope in a dance off and she’s just shown that actually she can handle it just like anyone else thank you very much

I have made no secret of how ardently I have supported Pete and Jowita ever since I was lucky enough to be in the audience for that George of the Jungle samba.

I’d never even heard of Pete before this series and every assumption I made about him at the start turned out, very quickly, to be wrong. Watching him work so hard to improve at something that didn’t come easily to him won me over. He was honest about not knowing anything about Strictly and I loved watching him fall in love with this silly little dance show we all come back to year after year.

Jowita was the perfect partner for him. They talked about how they each wanted to be paired with one another after doing nothing but giggling when they were meant to be dancing during the pre-series match up session and I’m so pleased the producers saw the potential between them and put them together. She showed what a fantastic teacher she is but she’s also visibly grown in confidence this series. Pete believed in her as much as she believed in him and it was very special to watch. I hope she’s rewarded with her first ringer next year.

I truly think theirs will be a lasting friendship - he’s already written a part for her in his and Sam’s next tour - because they could each use someone like the other in their lives. Jowita shared on the podcast that Pete told her last week that he’s in her corner and he’ll always be there for her and that sums up what I loved most about their partnership. They were never top of the leaderboard but they enjoyed every single week, gave it their best, and had a right laugh while doing it.

And can I please thank this thread for allowing me to talk incessantly about Pete and Jowita week after week without anyone telling me to shut up? It’s been a very crappy year and they were the joy I needed so I am very grateful for you lovely posters letting me witter on about them when I couldn’t stop.

Absolutely, I find it offensive too but those are the people who are already unsympathetic and she's just making it worse.
Tbh she does come across as pretty dramatic. That doesn't mean I'm condoning anything Giovanni has done but from what we've heard it's not in the same league as what Graziano did to Zara who has handled the situation with strength and grace.
Ew. Ew, ew, ew, EW.

She's received rape and death threats for her and her children, how the fuck do you expect her to handle that with 'grace'? I'm no fan of Amanda and I've admitted myself I've struggled to believe her in the past but she's shown nothing but strength, someone very rightly pointed out to me before - look at everything that's come her way from pursuing this, she's a force to be reckoned with. People deal with things in different ways and you invalidating her trauma saying it's not as bad as Graz (emotional abuse can be just as bad if not worse than physical) is sick. Ugh this post, I can't even man.

I know they’ve commented on the length of Bobby’s arms but I never realised how long they are!

I am delighted Rose won.

Thank you to everyone, I live alone and this thread has been such lovely company on Saturday nights during the middle of a pandemic where social interactions come with a health warning.

I sincerely hope that when Strictly rolls around again in 2022 we are so much more content, happy and optimistic. Merry Christmas! 🤍🥰✨🎄
