If you look at the comments, all the blue ticks are up his arse “love this for you” “yessss” “powerful”. The usual nonsense. It’s all so Emperor’s New Clothes where everyone knows it’s ridiculous but nobody will say it.
I think it’s just for me the pure cringe of the poses and outfits not the size. I’m a chunk myself. I am not sure what kind of unique reinvention this is, I have gay friends go to gay bars and pride etc and this look or act isn’t unusual, it’s performative and very kink driven, which is fine but let’s just call it what it is. SS is openly into kink now and bringing kink into his music which is quite niche and not for everyone. Drinking piss and BDSM references just appear to be Sam indulging in a vanity project tbh, they just released another song about sex and made a video entirely about sex. It’s not really that deep.If Sam Smith had a hot skinny bod and was a mega dancer would it be an issue?
He seems to have reinvented himself and is embracing his identity, am not a fan of the song but like Unholy a lot, I live his Bond choon too!
From his IG he seems happy now possibly in some sort of relationship. I do hope he has people to keep him grounded besides the usual hangers on / yes people.
HE certainly is. HE is obese and promoting an unhealthy and unclean lifestyle. HE sucks. HE is a great singer so I’ll give HIM that.He really is an irritating little man isn't he.
This is not sexy.He is really channelling his Patrick Star here![]()
I truely believe those that say they are non binary haven't a clue themselves, it's just a fad for attention. If you identify as non binary, can you be gay? Someone please educate me. My understanding is that if you identify as non binary, you don’t align with any sex, so if you’re sexless can you be homosexual? I’m old and confused 🫤
No, you’re a man. Liking pink things and wearing a skirt or anything else doesn’t change that.I don't feel anyone would have an issue with that as you're trying, as you say. I think the problem is when people get the pronouns wrong thinking it's funny, as have quite a few on here and social media over the last few days re Sam. That's quite pathetic.
And re the whole non-binary thing - there are many different ways to be non-binary. For example, I'm male but don't identify with many "traditional" male things - i.e. I bloody hate football. I guess that would make me a "brainwashed loon" to some...
Just looked for it. I like the comment saying Marcus Rashford will be playing for Themchester United next seasonI’ve just seen a clip on twitter of him calling himself a fisherthem instead of fisherman !???? What on earth.
Indeed. He had huge talent, was gorgeous and quietly charitable. I’m still gutted he’s gone. It’s an insult to utter his name with George Michael’s.
Edit to add:
Drives me bonkers when he tries to force the comparison. Homie, you’re not the George Michael of your generation. He didn’t rely on these horrific tactics to gain respect in the industry.
If one of my kids decided to change their pronouns I would say, don't be so bloody stupid, and grow up. I will never use pronouns to anyone, I think they are complete nonsense I see a male or a female, a he or her, have your pronouns but don't expect people to just except them, they are beyond ridiculous, find another way for attention.I do wonder how you and some others would react to a son or daughter of theirs telling them that they wish to be referred to using pronouns. Would you take the piss out of them?
I had no internet as a child I am from the 80’s. I literally had never seen it until I was in my 20’s! How can you compare us with this new generation from 2000’s on? If my parents didn’t like us watching any dodgy stuff they would just turn over the one of the 4 channels. The stuff you are talking about is men wearing make up on top of the pops once a week. It was not being streamed everywhere, all the time like it is now. It is almost impossible to not see this stuff. I don’t even use social media that much at all but I have seen more of Sam smiths nipples than I have seen my own lately.I do have kids actually a 13 and 8 yo. My husband and I grew up very worldly, from poor and disrupted childhoods so we’ve both seen and sadly experienced a lot. Our goal with our kids isn’t to shield them from the world or hide things from them, the world is a shit place and every generation had their own “porn, sex, internet” hysteria. In our opinion the younger you’re exposed to the darkness of the world the less negatively impacted or likely to be influenced you are.
we encourage our kids to critically think about what they see and consume, we are open with them and in turn they feel free to ask us questions and we have chats about everything you’ve mentioned. We give them privacy while monitoring and tbh we’ve never found anything worrying so we must be doing something right. They have iPhones and social media just like their friends but they don’t mindlessly and secretly consume content, which is where I think the problem is. Some of daughters friends are really left to their own devices by their parents or overly sheltered and they are the ones dressing inappropriately or even talking to boys
and all the people I mentioned have at some point been widely praised for their antics or still are. Cardi b is still seen by many in the media and fans as a feminist icon of sorts. People suddenly calling it dark and demonic are the same people that called others conspiracy theorists for pointing out the same things back in 2010s
and yes I agree, my initial post literally said no one has to like, understand or support them but everyone going out of their way to humiliate them and make them feel like shit is very weird.
Saying "they" all the time is just confusing, it sounds like more than one person is being referred toThey they they. You mean him.
