People aren’t getting pronouns ‘wrong’ they are refusing to go along with something they consider both incorrect and harmful. No good ever comes of forcing people to believe something that is manifestly untrue, either for the person being forced or the one doing the forcing.
If Sam Smith announces in a few months that he’s detransitioning back to being a man or if he decides to become a woman are people just going to blindly jump to his tune purely because he says so?
I imagine some of the dullards who like to pop up and kindly correct people would love it though, it’ll be another opportunity to get that little frisson of self righteousness that they live for.

People relate to Capaldi. He's comfortable with who he is and always ready to laugh at himself. You can imagine having a drink with him, whereas Sam would be hard, hard work.
I'd imagine Sam to be very whiny and me me me. They also look like they cry when they wank

I do wonder how you and some others would react to a son or daughter of theirs telling them that they wish to be referred to using pronouns. Would you take the piss out of them?
I’d probably get them some therapy

Sam could identify as gay/straight, him/her, them/they or Alpaca as far as I am concerned. I really don't give a 💩.

But the outfits and the fucking awful music makes me just think 🔔🔚, sweaty disgusting mess.

The reason why Harry is more palatable is because he is just having fun. He would wear anything and still come across as a likeable guy.

Sam just looks like a sulky, miserable pork joint.

I feel like someone is having a laugh at his expense. His recent antics remind me of those clueless and talentless folks you see on shows like X Factor, who couldn't carry a tune in a bucket but their family is there bigging them up and convincing them they're Beyonce. I think someone in his team is there telling him he looks fab and is bossing it, when very clearly he looks a right state and is just embarrassing himself.

Every time I see him I think he looks like someone's pissed up, recently divorced, aunt. Who's gone totally off the rails to show her ex husband what he's missing.

A breakdown will be hitting in T minus....

Oh give it a rest. He’s male. I am not going to have my speech compelled by anyone, let alone by some rando on the internet. And before you shout “Transphobe” - call it what you like. I really don’t give the tiniest of shits.

He/she/they/them - whatevs, still a fat cunt with masses of issues. Needs rehab IMVHO.

I couldn’t give a flying shite what pronouns he/she/they use. That’s his/her/their life. What is concerning is performing on stage doing a very sexually suggestive dance routine and wearing basically what was bondage gear. Fine if it was an adult audience who knew what it was all about, but there were young children in the audience which he obviously knew about the youngest being 6 years old. There were no warnings that the show would contain adult themed content. Is that truly acceptable? Because some people seem to think it is and label you bigoted etc..if you said anything negative about it because in their one track minds they think you are objecting to gender identity. I don’t. Live and let live.
Now let’s flip the coin. There are the same aged children at another show. A heterosexual woman comes onto a stage wearing the same type of outfit ,starts gyrating sexually suggestively then strips off. There would be complete outrage and rightly so.

Watching that clip, I can’t help but wonder. If a female performer were to prance about on stage, wearing nothing but nipple tassels and pants, fondling herself, it would be classed as pornography and certainly have an 18+ viewing policy. What is different here? 🤔

Isn't calling them Queen misgendering them? What's the right name for a genderless monarch
Exactly! All this they/them bollocks is 100% attention seeking - by those who apply it to themselves and those desperate to jump on the 'you got it wrong HATE CRIME' bandwagon.
Honestly Bowie was doing all this half a century ago but the huge difference is he had actual talent to back it up.
No idea why Sam Smith can't just be a gay man who likes wearing women's clothes, though I suppose there's no such thing as bad publicity.
I don't care what Sam Smith is identifying as this week, but those photos are about as sexy as a bucket of cold vomit.

Has anyone seen the delightful outfits in the Im not here to make friends video

😖
Just can't pull these outfits off. Clomping around like a bricklayer dressing up for Hallowe'en. Camp but just doesn't have the grace to do it right

Sam Smith is a biological man and I don't appreciate him appropriating a biological woman's body by wearing that dress with a print of a woman's body...why do his feelings matter more than mine or anyone else's?!

I don't care if he's a he or she or them- why would you think half naked satanic prancing is suitable for 5 year olds!

He / they just strikes me as provocative for the sake of being provocative. Like that's the brand aspiration he's got at this stage in his career. He went from an ordinary denim jacket wearing young fella with a phenomenal voice to gyrating his hefty thirty-something-bloke body in nipple tassels, a diamante crown and budgie smugglers surrounded by arse-twitching dancers and we're all supposed to think it's great and a healthy evolution for him. And not that it's the net result of being told you're special and wonderful and everything you choose to do no matter how tasteless or gross and fetishy is fabulous and an example to they / thems everywhere.

A lifetime ago during his denim jacket wearing days I covered a live music event as a reporter and I recall his "people" being SUPER precious and almost aggressive about access to him. His fame was growing in the UK but he was still little known compared to the lineup that was there but being protected like he was Michael Jackson or something. I've no doubt that same crowd have kept him in a bubble of his own bullsh1t for so long and this is where that kind of treatment leads someone.

I've always hated the way he was heralded as the new Boy George..

Now love him or hate him, at least George was pretty in his day. Sam Smith is imho, grotesque
