Kirsty Gallagher supporting him on instagram - that’s bold for someone who doesn’t get a lot of work these days outside of part time gigs on ultra safe global radio franchises like Smooth FM

This genuinely isn't an attack on the pp because her point is one I've seen made lots of times. I've also seen lots of "why now" and at least mildly victim blamey posts across multiple threads here.

But doesn't it say something about how we are socialised as women that some of us hear about a man raping 4 women and immediately think about how this will impact men? Then need to point out that good men exist and talking about this too much will make men hate us and become incels? We really are taught to center men in our thoughts at all times.
That’s such a good point, even though it’s so sad. There’s so much deep rooted stuff we don’t even think about.

I definitely need to sit down and think abiut the things men done when I was younger that I thought was ok. It wasn’t even anything horrific, and a lot of it was just general attitudes or “how things were” then, and that was only the 90s and 2000s.
We still have a long way to go.

I understand that it's frustrating that people haven't spoken out until now, but having had personal experience of speaking out against someone it's horribly easy for people to tar you as a trouble maker/telling lies. In fact, it's easier to believe the perpetrator rather than have to question yourself about how well you really know someone and what they're potentially capable of. I've been made a social pariah in our village by speaking out against someone whose dog attacked mine and nearly killed him, but apparently it's all a tissue of lies and I'm out to drag his name through the mud... funny that the Police and Magistrate didn't agree with him, but by that stage I didn't give a shit what other people thought. And I can't share that he was charged and given a dog control order that he mainly ignores because it'll be me in the wrong

In cases of sexual harrassment/rape, it's nearly impossible to get convictions and victims are torn to pieces in court by barristers for the other party. I can completely understand why they thought it wasn't worth it given that he could afford the best barristers and legal representation. He truly is a vile piece of shit.

Here are my two cents worth:
I thought RB was a breath of fresh air some 11years ago. I remember seeing him on Jonathan Roos and thinking Wow! I didn’t know him from MTV days but he’d clearly cleaned up his act, was intelligent and worthy of support.
As time has gone on I just think he’s a pretentious, up his own backside knob!
I remember the blinds with Katy Perry and she was allegedly on coke, but I think he married her for a green card and to be able to do his films. Remember with his history of drug abuse he wouldn’t be allowed in the US...
I never understood his relationship with Jemima Khan and can only assume it was about sex. But she dumped him shortly after the strange massage incident (which to me sounded like a prostitute threesome which went wrong)
His recent transformation into a spiritual guru just makes me laugh and anyone buying it needs to be committed.
His victims and sadly, there will definitely be plenty of them, will get their voice one day. At the moment for whatever reason he is being protected.

She said she was too scared to go to police. But not to the media...

I would like to see her take him to court too and present her evidence. It's a bit too easy to make anonymous accusations and then have an actor say your lines. Anyone can do that and it doesn't fly in court. I can't help but wonder if she asked him to pay her to keep quiet and he didn't so she went to the media.

Yes and when he left the establishment and didn't need them anymore, they went for him. The legacy media hates people with bigger audiences than they have.
BIB Easy? Done it?

The woman in LA should definitely pursue a civil lawsuit, she has enough evidence.

Eh? He had big Hollywood and TV contracts, very much part of the establishment. These claims stretch back to those times.

He’s absolutely foul. The fact that he describes the allegations as baroque, which makes absolutely no sense just sums him up. Pseudo-intellectual word salad designed to make him appear clever when really he is just a clueless idiot narcissist.

What exactly makes them baroque, did the letter turn up with a violin and some Vivaldi.
Violin and Vivaldi absolutely creased me up as I was wondering wtf he meant by Baroque.

Another massive cunt that uses the word salad is Jack Monroe.

He's not exactly raging against the Establishment at the moment is he 🙄🤭😂
Exactly! And a lot of his defenders are the Establishment.

As much as I dislike them, Alan Sugar and Piers Morgan are successful and respected enough in their fields to be the Establishment, and as others have pointed out, Brand is too.

The Times is also the Establishment. The only people in this situation who aren’t the Establishment, are the women who came forward with their stories.

Imo he's a clever and dangerous individual. I think he's guilty. I think undoubtedly there will be many many more victims who never come forward. I think like his PA said there were many women happy to go along with it. That's fine. It's all about money,
I know at least one (not really famous) comedian and famous comedian will be shitting themselves today. The comedy circuit is incredibly macho and misogynistic.
