For me, the worst year for celebrities passing away was 2016.

Started in January with David Bowie, carried on with Alan Rickman, Victoria Woods, Prince, and many others. Then ended with George Michael on Christmas Day. 😢😢😢

Seems that quite a few had illnesses which hadn't been made public so their passing was much more shocking 💔💔💔

Maybe a bit niche but former Scottish Rugby hero Doddie Weir has sadly succumbed to MND which he'd been suffering with for past 6 years ...saw him play several times and was at the Scotland v Wales game of inaugural Doddie Weir cup in Cardiff several years ago
Doddie Weir: Former Scotland lock dies at 52 after suffering from motor neurone disease https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/63768331
MND is a truly awful disease which has taken so many sportsmen

Paul O'Grady will be remembered with love and great affection, what a lovely man, and how sad that he only made it to 67. We should have had him for another decade. RIP.

I was shocked when Olivia Newton John died but she’d been ill for so long and while 72 is still young, it’s still 72.

But 41. It’s just a year younger than me and maybe he’d been ill, we may never know. I often say that when it’s my time to go, I hope to just go to bed and not waken up. But at 41, that sounds lonely.

I’m sorry, I’m wittering on. I’ve just had a watch of this and it made me smile

Ryan O'Neal, one of the legendary abusive, piece of shit fathers that have graced this earth. Jealous of his 10-year-old Academy Award winning daughter Tatum, who was molested by Ryan's dealer when she was 12. He gave his son Griffin cocaine at 11, punched him in the face, knocking his teeth out and shot at him, banned him from Farrah's funeral. Griffin referred to him as "a very abusive, narcissistic psychopath." He left his kids to fend for themselves whilst he waltzed off to be with Farrah Fawcett. His son with Farrah, like Tatum and Griffin, has drug, mental health and criminal issues. Redmond has been allegedly diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar and antisocial personality disorder. His son Patrick with Leigh Taylor-Young seems to be the only one to be left unscathed by Ryan. Ryan accused Tatum of cashing in on lies when she wrote her autobiography, because she dared not to portray him as father of the century. That's your legacy bud.

David Eames MP - murdered at work

Whatever your political affiliation, this is truly shocking in the same way that Jo Cox’s murder was.

I tried to edit above post but was unable to, typo in name - David Amess MP

It's difficult for me to feel much sympathy if the guy had a load of drugs in his system. Then again, it seems that drugs are all part of the entertainment business. The percentage of entertainers that are on drugs must be pretty high. Similar to Heath Ledger, but with him it seemed like he was suffering quite bad from health issues. I don't know, maybe it was the same for Taylor Hawkins. Who knows.
Someone isn’t less loved or missed if they died due to drug use. Bloody hell.

I’ve just been talking to my husband about Vialli’s death.

He was relatively young , healthy , stayed very very fit for years and also wealthy enough to buy any medication or access trials for treatment yet he still died before 60.

I’m going to bin off dry January , eat the biscuits butter and bacon and enjoy it all while I can.

Lots of thoughts to everyone who’s lost a loved one❤❤

This is just sad and tragic. After the years of addiction, the psychological struggles stemming from Matthew's parents divorce, etc. and finally getting his shit together, it doesn't seem fair. This wasn't the ending anyone was hoping for him.

A cause close to my heart... Mr W was diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer in Oct 2018. Luckily, after massive surgery and a colostomy bag for life, he is currently clear. Check your poo everyone; this doesnt work for everyone because Mr W had no symptoms before we had to dash to A&E with major rectal bleeding at 2am one night. Hindsight gave us a few clues that would even now be brushed off by a GP - so please be alert and don't take no for answer if you're worried. RIP Dame Deborah, you did good. xxx

This is the same attitude people have when missing persons are found "why don't they tell us where they were?" - because it's none of our business. If that man's family only want to share that it was a "brief illness" that's all we need to know. We're not owed an explanation as to what exact illness it was.
