It’s one argument I won’t stand for in real life, that death by suicide is a coward’s way out. To be in such mental torment that ending one’s life is the only way to go is heartbreaking.

One of my young adult children was in a very dark and bleak place during university and they couldn’t see a way out , thankfully they pulled themselves back but others just can’t .

I don’t know why but Darius passing has made me so sad. There’s something so nostalgic when I look back to that era when I was in my early teens. Loved colourblind and it was played all the time on capital.fm - time goes so quickly doesn’t it?

I've only ever felt genuinely sad at two celebrities passing away, the first is Robin Williams, and the other, now, is Sean Locke.

Genuinely fucking gutted. A truly funny, genuine bloke. I thought he was superb.

In any case, it is the publicist who makes the statements. If you end the mystery, it makes it easier to address the sadness and focus on the grieving process.

To put it bluntly, they’ve just lost a loved one and I doubt they give a flying fuck what you or anyone who didn’t know him thinks or speculates. Not everything is a huge conspiracy, people die young - always have and sadly always will.
It’s not about what you want. This is a “rest in peace“ thread so let his loved ones grieve in peace.

Waking up to the news of Lily aka Paul O’Grady is a shock and so sad. I won’t be shy to admit I shed a tear or two. I met him when he did the Moonwalk for breast cancer many years ago. Such a lovely man and will be missed bye was due to do an Easter Sunday show on Boom Radio.

Glad he didn’t have a long illness. Sounds like a heart issue. A sudden and peaceful death.

I have seen him in panto a few times, including a big one at the Palladium with Clary and lots of other stars. But he was the star of the show.

I am so happy that the family did not say she has been "battling" breast cancer. (The DM did)
When that word is used and people die it infers that they did not "battle" enough and lost their battle. I didn't battle it, just got on with taking my medication but it may come back at any time so did I not battle enough. I hate that word with reference to cancer.

I’m such a big fan of drag and Lily Savage was the first drag queen I ever knew, growing up in the 90’s. I loved Paul’s chat show and the work he did at Battersea Dogs Home too. RIP Paul
