Her story about the Allies of Skin cream which she then conceded is ridiculously expensive annoyed me so much. She posted a long apology for how expensive it is, saying she can’t find it in stock anywhere but when she does she’ll post a link. WTF? It’s in stock on the Allies of Skin website with 25% off - what she means is that it’s not in stock anywhere that she has an affiliate link for, so she can’t make any money out of it.

Surely the next thread title has to be ‘This came up on my feed so I just copied it’. She has summarised her entire content plan.

I remember someone in the publishing industry getting into a spat with Lily a few years ago about her free sofa and how influencers manipulate their audience & the nature of their ‘work’ to justify the grift.

Exactly. He can only stay home with Grey because she is in a rare (and privileged) position where she earns more than he does. Ultimately, because of the Gender Pay Gap and the astronomical cost of childcare, a lot of women end up having to stall or end their careers to stay home with children because, ultimately, their partners earn more so it makes financial sense to do it that way.

She's also in a very privileged position where having a child hasn't impacted their lifestyle. Most families, especially when paying nursery fees, have to amend their spending habits but not Lily.

So no Lily. Rich isn't a trial blazer in this regard. He isn't special for 'challenging stereotypes'.

The thing that makes me mad is that she thinks that her job/career/lifestyle is the result of her 'working hard' and making the 'right' choices. She's the kind of person that thinks if you don't have the things she takes for granted (six figure salary, house in London, freedom to spend money on whatever you want when you want) it's because you haven't worked hard enough or made the right choices. When actually it all boils down to privilege and opportunity.

Just sent her a reply suggesting she rewatches last year's video where she shows how to make a balloon arch, rather than begging for a free one

Lily had a child with a stupid name and blamed HIM for pissing all over the bed over and over because she didn’t put a changing Mat down. She silently seethed behind the scenes because Anna lost her baby weight and then some. Her loft conversion is an absolute shit tip with no vaguely matching attributes and she’s going to definitely put it on the market this time next month. Blamed Rich for giving her covid so no one could come over and help with the kids but looks like she still had the builders over. A Beige tree was erected and that’s the only erection that house will see until they move / schedule another baby.

Post an hour later and use that time to subtitle your content. Pay someone to do it. Don’t be inaccessible just because you can’t be bothered
