I hate when influencers try and give you a ‘friendly reminder’ as if people using Instagram don’t know how Instagram works. No one other than influencers care about engagement so if you want people to engage create better content instead of 6 photos of you sitting in a coffee shop acting like the camera isn’t there

This slapped-arse-face goes on for for like 10 seconds before she sort of smiles because omg this is so weird!

I’m not going to watch the vid so I could be wrong.... but can we assume that since she posted a photo of her eating the very same bowl of ramen in the very same outfit on her grid on aug 4 that this video is two week old content? And that she hasn’t made ramen multiple times over the course of several weeks but is stretching one meal into content to span two weeks? This is very low effort, even for her.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned but is she actually living into that top room now? It’s like she moved out of the house and just lives up in the roof?! She gets washed in there, she gets dressed in there, she works in there. Has she forgotten she’s got a husband and 2 children living downstairs? So odd

I think it was very obvious the poster meant due to Lily being vacuous and not knowing enough about the conflict to comment on it not due to her being of Jewish heritage. Christ!

The thing that strikes me the most is right at the beginning: Rich has wanted one for ages by Lily said “no way, this is a luxury for people with home gyms”, but then with the lockdowns, she thought it would be a good thing for her to get into working out.

He wanted one so no, no way. She wanted one, so it happened.

Also, she thinks that spin classes only happen in Central London, and she’s such a busy Mum that she had to buy the Peloton to do it at home.

I live in Surrey and my two local gyms do spin classes, BUT OK.

Could this thumbnail be any less inviting?

So I personally don’t think Lily owes her audience much (if anything) as in, I think she’s allowed to just go on holiday quite abruptly and not post anything for a couple of weeks. I think that as a viewer, if that behaviour annoys you then you just unsubscribe as the content is free. The only person Lily hurts by producing bad/little content is herself and her potential subscriber count/income, she’s not harming anyone by going offline.

However, it does annoy me that she comments about never having taken annual leave, as if she doesn’t have a choice. Yes, being self employed means you don’t have structured annual leave that you have to take, which means it can be tempting just to work straight though and earn a bit more. But her job pays SO WELL, just take holidays at a healthy rate and earn a bit less? Don’t imply that you have no choice, because that’s not true. Yes, you can comment on how the lines are blurred, because you can make content on holiday etc., but it’s simply not true that not having official structured annual leave, when you are an influencer, means anything. It just means it’s up to you to set it and decide how much you want to take depending on what the deduction from your income would be. And that’s the hugest privilege ever, getting to be in control of it. So how she turns it into a humble brag really rubs me the wrong way.

Watched her video this morning, summarised below:

She's a parent, nothing in her life can be done the way it used to be done because she's a parent, if you don't have kids you'll never know because life is totally different as a parent. Did she mention she's a parent?

Otherwise - her nails are in desperate need of some maintenance. I know she's a busy working LONDON mum but seriously - her nails are gross. And not just one off gross - gross all the time. Just a quick trim and file would make them look so much better.

Her sister is a master cake maker so it's hard to buy a birthday cake for someone who is sooooo good at making cakes. So rather than go to any number of small, independent patisseries near where she lives they got a cake from Hummingbird which was not big enough for everyone so Rich the bitch was sent out to get a Colin the Caterpillar cake for the kids.

They had an indoor celebration for her sister's bday which def broke lockdown rules. Unless I'm wrong you are still only allowed 6 people indoors right?

They went out for dinner with Gemma and whatever her husband is called. Rich did Grey's bath so Lily could reapply her make up and re-do her hair and moan about how she has no clothes to wear whilst staring at a wardrobe full of clothes. They went out for dinner at a restaurant that Lily always goes to and always orders the same thing at - such a foodie. Lily mentioned she never shows her friends on the vlog anymore and Gemma and her joked that they were still friends - clearly someone is reading here.

Oh, and she was shilling some Missoma tat that she styled much like my nearly 4 year old when she wears all her necklaces.

I genuinely think Lily’s thread is one of the least malicious here. It’s mostly people who used to like her, who are sad to see the decline in her content. Of course there are those who are incredulous about how much she earns for so little effort. Again reasonable. It’s very rare anyone says anything to just be nasty here, and she often gets compliments over her figure. When she pulls together a good video, people do recognise that. She needs to man up, such a teenager victim mentality she has.

This is an extremely niche observation, but I used to work in a local museum with loads of outdoor exhibits and Grey's room looks nearly exactly like the mud room where everyone left their coats and wellies. The cupboard even looks the same.

I think Lily is having difficulty differentiating between summer rain and autumn. I guess nobody told her that it can still rain during the summer and the weather might get a few degrees colder but it doesn't warrant a new wardrobe or any confusion?

For some reason Ive just checked her channel and sorted the videos from oldest to newest. I had totally forgotten that she used „what I heart today“ as the (co-) title to all her videos in the beginning. I then remembered that one of her first threads at GG was called „what I hate today“, does anyone else remember that? how funny that 10 years later this could still be a thread title, she hasn’t changed at all lol

I think Lily's pulling an Anna and she's going to announce today. That or she had to throw together a last-minute video for the same fucking missoma necklaces that every influencer and their hamster is shilling at the moment.

THIS - everything she ever says/does is always framed in this 'look how hard my life is/aren't I a victim'. Just say 'Rich has the day off and we have childcare so we're going to have a lovely lunch together' but no, it has to be how long it's been since they had lunch together alone.

And then the comment about the mask - get out of your own head Lily - Dr's perform life threatening surgeries wearing masks - you're just bumming around Selfridges. She is so resistant to any sort of hardship/change in her life. Why doesn't she just take a few minutes to regulate her breathing and then get on with her business? I'd understand a little bit if it were this time last year but it's been over a year of wearing masks in public places and, as others have pointed out, many people have had no choice but to continue with their work life in a mask. She needs to grow the F up.
