Yea exactly, I took pictures on my phone and rang my family etc but the first thought in my head every day wasn’t ‘gotta go on social media’ you want to soak in all those precious memories together (and sleep, lots of sleep!) while you can.
ahh so jealous you had a private room! I was in a ward with 5 other ladies who had had their babies. It wasn’t awful, luckily I was on the end of one of the rows so could pull the curtain round for private time. I remember though there was an African lady and she went for a shower and left her baby and the baby started crying and it felt like it went on forever till the midwives came to check on him. I remember her walking past my bed too and the baby was just hanging off her arm like she wasn’t even supporting him. That scarred me a little bit. Sorry for the story time!
What does the ethnicity of each lady in both of your texts have to do with either of your stories?this sounds just like my experience....the indian lady next to me kept leaving her baby unattended whilst she went god knows where and her baby would just be crying! she left her baby for over an hour and the nurses were having to take care of the baby! :O
Anyway... I’m looking forward to an update from Carys regarding Amber! Hope they’re doing okay.
