I was due to attend the cancelled show. My sister had flown over from South Africa to see her.

I didn’t buy the story then (especially as she added a show last minute) and don’t buy the fake tears now. Something doesn’t feel right with her anymore

She’s shit and she knows it. She probably sounded like a bag of cats in rehearsals. Sure how many times does she have to stop and start again because she’s off key. She doesn’t deserve the hype anymore. Her voice ain’t what it was

I think she looks good fat and looks good skinny! It’s all the fat body posi’s that are butt hurt by her new look. She’s never been one to openly gorge on burgers and have half naked belly out, flapping around bingo wings to represent bigger women. She represents nobody, she’s her own person, barely uses social media in fact. If you are offended by her losing weight then that’s your problem and has probably hit a nerve, don’t deflect your insecurities on her. I’ve never met such a bunch of women that fiercely defend their health when scrutinised for being fat, then scrutinise somebody else for their health because they have lost weight. Hypocritical at best.

Unless you paid for it, she doesn’t have to disclose weight loss surgery. Which isn’t a walk in the park as most people presume. She’s a private person, unlike celebs like kerry katona and the lark that would wring out a weight loss dvd and 4 page spread in closer magazine out of it for a quick buck.

Although her music does want me want to hang my self, but we aren’t here for that.

Adele took years off… She chose to come back to the performing lifestyle.

I used to really like her, but I just can’t take to her since the new album launch and constantly having that everywhere I looked. I was a hit underwhelmed by it too.

She just looked like a bit of an ungrateful cow last night like it was beneath her to be there.

Honestly if she was chocolate she’d eat herself, well as much as she could with the gastric band

I once accepted a lift off a friend, who directed me to choose a CD to put on the car stereo. The choice was Adele, Sam Smith or Ed Sheeran. Silence was preferable. If they'd also had George Ezra I think I would've got out and walked.

Adele should have named her residency "Hello, Its Not Me".

I think I’d be pretty annoyed if I’d got tickets. For most people, because it’s Vegas, they will have had to book time off work, flights and a hotel, and they may well not get that money back at such short notice (even if the tickets for the gig itself can be used at a later date).
I don’t know what’s really happened here. It sounds like it was maybe rushed, they just weren’t ready. I suppose people dropping down with covid could play into that, but it could also be a bit of a red herring.

this. An album is obviously curated in a way that flows. It’s not just chucked together at random. Why are people so annoyed about this? And it’s people that don’t even wanna listen to her album anyway

We went to the radio one big weekend about five years ago. One of the dreadful acts was Rita Ora, she was eating an apple whilst lip syncing

It seems really obvious with the brits in recent years that the artists know when they’re going to win or they won’t bother turning up. Compare little mix’s very unsurprised reaction last year for the best group to when they won their first ever brit. Same with Adele, they would have to tell her she’s won to get her there IMO. But it was like she couldn’t be bothered to act surprised. I also think looked like she was scared of getting booed, definitely didn’t want to be there.

Her lack of remorse to the tens of thousands of fans at this stage is ugly. Does anyone remember Katy Perrys documentary...she is literally breaking up with Rusell Brand and is crying on stage...but she showed up.
Mark my words...their will be a surrogate baby born in the next year for Adele so as not to ruin her figure...but she will be a single mum by the time it arrives.

why is that happening more and more now? Are there professional victims/fainters that the promoters employ as each artist tries to outdo each other in the fake concern stakes, to get the headlines? Absolutely no reason to stop the show when there are always so many properly trained professionals at these gigs to deal with fainters, overdoses, heart attacks and even deaths quietly and efficiently and properly.

i have to disagree here, sometimes security can’t always see issues in areas. Artists have an excellent vantage point and it’s good to see people taking the safety of fans seriously particularly after Astroworld.

Love the idea that Adele is a prisoner of her management not even allowed to look at her social media accounts, probably didn't even agree to this residency and was forced to sign at gunpoint and this is common for megastar singers. Meanwhile Axl Rose delays gigs because he is asleep backstage and people are too terrified to wake him up

I don’t see the point of blending fast food, the pleasure of eating it comes from chewing it and experiencing the tastes in your mouth, if you’re going to drink it why wouldn’t you just have a fruit smoothie

I said it earlier in the thread but Adele has just become far too LA. I can imagine as an artist not wanting to put on a show that you would believe is subpar, but as everyone else has pointed out, you would cancel for a couple weeks, a month max and continue with the rest of the residency.

Maybe it is anxiety, maybe it has been compounded by her lack of vocal stamina. Just a thought though, if you've experienced performance anxiety and stage fright, maybe don't sign on to a residency where people are ridiculously overcharged and might help to ease the anxiety to know youre not fleecing the audience.
