I’ve been a HUGE fan of Adele since the 19 days (and I mean huge, I have posters of her all round my house & I’ve seen her live 4 times, spent god knows how much money on her over the years etc)

but she’s lost so much respect from me cancelling the Vegas shows! There’s absolutely no excuse for that, it’s not like she’s cancelling a tour in fan’s home towns. When I first saw her 11 years ago she had a stool & a lampshade and it’s still one of the most incredible shows I’ve ever experienced. People would have spent so much money on a vegas trip all for nothing, it’s not easy or cheap to just rebook another trip when she eventually decides to turn up! I was literally gobsmacked at the crocodile tears apology video she did, what a smack in the face! Then she has the nerve to fly over to the brits & get off her face in a club while fans are stuck in Vegas with bugger all to see it just doesn’t sit right with me.

I feel like this whole 30 era has been so self indulgent. I don’t even know how to explain it but as someone who has watched literally every single interview she’s ever done I could tell as soon as she came back something about her has changed. I just think the power has gone to her head now & she doesn’t care about anyone else but herself.

I’ve now got to the point where I actually hope the Hyde Park shows don’t go ahead so I can get a refund for the bloody £300 ticket I bought you probably all think I’m an idiot for buying it in the first place but normally I’d be counting down the days to one of the best days of my life but now just thinking about the show leaves a sour taste in my mouth! It’s just so sad to have someone you’ve been such a huge fan of for half your life disappoint you so much!

Sorry for the rant but I just thought some of you might find it interesting from a hardcore fan’s perspective because most of them still seem to be making up excuses for her behaviour! I just don’t think I could ever forgive her absolute stinking attitude.

Think she’s bloody stunning bigger or smaller

Adele is just Gemma Collins with a voice. She’s toxic, combative, confrontational and a chav and it’s always anyone else’s fault but her own.
Also, her music is the blandness collection of ballads; damning indictment of the world that she’s so popular.

TBH I think the “ordinary London girl” thing is a bit of an act too, which she cynically pulls out of the bag every so often when she thinks it might be helpful. Let’s face it, she went to a highly competitive performing arts school and was launched when she was still a teenager, which likely means she was on a development contract years before that. She’s spent most of her life being coddled and fawned over by music industry suits. That is very far from an ordinary life. She’s spoilt.

That interview will be highly controlled, and only certain questions and answers allowed.
Her team will never allow her to be put on an awkward spot, she knows already what will be asked and how she will answer.
So there will be a finely scripted response to her BF and her residency questions, so she will come out of the interview smelling of roses.

I also think the mark of a true professional is that “ The show must go on “.
Look at Katy Perry finding out that RB was leaving her in the middle of one of her tours. She was in a state behind the scenes, but carried on. Beyonce, would never bail and she has had all kinds of problems ( 99 I think ) with JZ but the shows still continue. Same as Brittany with her conservorship problems, she still did her Vegas residency. So, clearly Adele is not as professional as we were all lead to believe.
Her IG post was highly insensitive and totally self absorbed.

Adele has ZERO diversity. A one trick pony. How people find her music amazing is fucking beyond me. Who wants to listen to some millionaires divorce from some ugly fella that she bossed and ruled around. Fuck off and admit your gastric band that's what were more arsed about

People can say what they want about Ed Sheeran, and even I think he is overexposed. But he is humble and seems like he genuinely likes to learn about music and from different artists.

Like last night I saw his song with that rock band. They might not be everyone's tastes, but not many artists of Ed's fame would be performing with a barely heard of rock group for his only Brits performance.

He also seems self aware enough to realise that he has his haters and people think he's overexposed. Totally the opposite to Adele.

Adele has just made herself a parody now and a laughing stock. Like “pulling a Monica” in Friends, now anyone who cancels a show will be “pulling an Adele”, she is that much of a joke and so unreliable. Britney Spears managed to keep her residency going when her father was controlling her and her mental health was in tatters. Celine Dion managed it when her beloved husband had just died, but poor little Adele throws a wobbler the night before and cancels the whole lot because she is unprofessional, weak, spoiled, over rated and cannot sing.

It’s sad that in 2021 women are still judging other women’s bodies. This is the kind of shit that gives tattle a bad name.

My (uninformed) opinion suggests cocaine as the missing piece in this jigsaw. A habit that’s possibly been going on for a long time and that her “team” is well practised at hiding. It would explain the extreme weight loss, the haggard face, the LA scenester mates, the divorce, the highly curated interviews, the emotional lability, the sudden freak out, the cancellation of the entire residency with no clear commitment as to when it’ll be rebooked, the refusal to consider doing stripped down or unplugged shows as an alternative.

I just like having a theory that pulls everything together!

Something about Adele has never sat right with me. I often found the ´faux’ east end pub landlord persona confusing yet lives in LA and wants to be down to earth etc but then her tour in London, the cheapest ticket is £300. There’s a lot that doesn’t fit

Just popping in to say I absolutely loathe everything about Adele. Her boring, whiney songs that all sound the same, her mannered singing style, her fake as fuck down to earth cockney persona, her enormous ego, her ridiculous make up that looks like it‘s been applied by a plasterer, her stupid plastic nails, her arrogance …….. I could go on! I just wish she would take up permanent residence in the section of her own arse she’s she’s long since disappeared up and never inflict her massively over rated, obnoxious self and dreary warbling on the world ever again. There! Just wanted to get that off my chest. I feel much better now.

I saw Clare Sweeney on a cruise ship once, I was unluckly to have a cabin near her as I could hear her practice the waaaayyy on “Shout” by Lulu for a solid hour. Just the waaaayyyy but, fair play she did pull it off in her show! Anyway that’s nothing to do with Adele but that brought back a weird memory of being pissed off trying to watch a movie in my cabin!

I tend to agree with others that the “audience with” format is hugely self-indulgent and embarrassing. It was basically just a big promo event for her record company - may well have been paid for by them too, IDK. I also doubt that all those celebs turned up for free. Plus the “surprise” () teacher thing. It was just a massive group bum-lick.
And Emma Thompson was a complete fucking embarrassment - as usual, she is a huge sycophant. Even her husband looked mortified by her (and he danced to the Macarena very badly on Strictly, so you’d think his embarrassment threshold would be pretty high).
As for Adele - I wouldn’t be too surprised if her next career move is a year-long residency in Las Vegas (huge amounts of money, just singing the classics to punters eating their dinner).
p.s. I acknowledge I’m a bit of a miseryguts.

Jane MacDonald wouldn’t have been such a diva. She would just get up and belt out some tunes for the paying customers. Adele is becoming a bit too ‘now you see me, now you don’t.’
My local pantomime managed to carry on for six weeks when some cast and crew got the ‘Rona, I know it’s not Vegas and only £27 a ticket but even so. Her lack of professionalism is questionable.

Wearing the big diamond on her ring finger is the most cynical attempt to take attention away from the Vegas cancellation and leaves a nasty taste in the mouth.
