I watched that video and it really pissed me off. She so fake, showing off to everyone waving and dancing then putting her head down and whining 'how did they all suddenly know I was here' and pulling that face as if she’s hard done by.

Stopped the show to pretend to show concern for a member of the crowd

why is that happening more and more now? Are there professional victims/fainters that the promoters employ as each artist tries to outdo each other in the fake concern stakes, to get the headlines? Absolutely no reason to stop the show when there are always so many properly trained professionals at these gigs to deal with fainters, overdoses, heart attacks and even deaths quietly and efficiently and properly.

I think she looks better on the GN show than she did at the brits. Her make-up for the brits was just so severe.

She might have to take stock if she keeps losing her true fans. She’ll be surrounded by “yes” people in LA and if her boyfriend is a sports agent, he could easily be telling to push and push until she gets everything she wants. But how long will all that last if her sales and ticket sales keep dwindling?

If it was me I’d feel beyond awful that so many people, after COVID affecting most people’s finances and travel plans for the guts of 2 years, were flying across the world to see me…only for a half-assed, bullshit cancellation story the night before the first gig! Even if they could afford to, I’m sure a lot of her fans would have thought better of booking again. I mean that’s if she can be bothered doing this residency at all.

I’ve never understood the appeal of Adele. I find her singing style really mannered and her songs boring. But she used to seem like an ok person. However lately it looks like she’s got lost in showbiz and comes across as a bit up herself to put it mildly. Still, it may genuinely be factors beyond her control that caused the cancellation of the Vegas shows. I just feel sorry for those fans who may have already travelled there to see her but hopefully they‘ll find other things to enjoy.

Sadly, it's the chance you take when you travel to see artists in residence. I am in no way condoning it and I did get refunds for the show tickets however I just made the best of it and enjoyed the cities I was in.
I don't think, in my opinion, that artists should refund flights/ accommodation. Like I said, it's the chance you take.

Of course there’s always a risk, I’ve travelled a couple of hundred miles for a gif that was cancelled whilst we were seated waiting but it was still disappointing. But I think the fact she’s done it before (if you had to cancel shows once, you’d hope they would do everything in their power to do it again - that doesn’t appear to be the case here) and up until recently she seemed to me to play heavily on the “I’m just like you”/humble/down-to-earth girl but again it’s been reported her diva like behaviour that’s behind this - which I can 100% believe - that isn’t really sympathetic to her fans who had already travelled.

The tears with no tears said to me that she wasn’t actually bothered about the impact of cancelling would have on anyone but her. I’m not convinced there isn’t more she could have done to go ahead - she didn’t just find out when she made the announcement and what would have stopped her putting on a show of her just singing for those who were already there?

I saw her collect the award. Why does she put on that heavy cockney accent? We all know she can talk normal in that segment from the interview with Oprah. She want to go into acting or something? Lol

I still find it weird she never rescheduled the two massive Wembley dates she cancelled back in 2017. I actually went to one of them, was lucky to go as she cancelled the show after mine. I was so shocked that she never did those dates at a later date, especially with it being London and was sort of a homecoming for her.
In all honesty I think this Vegas thing should have waited till next year, covid is so up in the air right now I’m not sure who made the choice to put these shows on at such a time.

She could do with teaming up with a producer like Calvin Harris and releasing a whopper upbeat song with her powerful vocals.

Adele is too up her own arse. I don't like her dirges myself but imo her fans deserve better.

Adele is 5+ years past being decent.

I saw her in Sydney in 2017, and she was good then. But 5 years on, all she has done is put out the same depressing music that sold well 10 years ago, and has lost the relatable, funny British schtick. It’s quite depressing to watch her early interviews (pre 21) compared to her interviews now. She’s a shell of the person she once was. I think people have caught onto that.

I wouldn’t pay to see her again, and I will likely never seek her music out again. Times have changed, but she’s not adapting.

I'm new to this thread and probably in the minority here but I think her voice and songs are SO overrated, I just don't get her success at all, she's so dull. Plus I am a Londoner myself and can't stand listening to her talk!

Exactly, what on earth does she do all day?
She certainly doesn't spend much time writing music and recording songs because her output isn't very high.

If you compare her to someone like Taylor Swift you can see how slow she is at producing new material. Taylor is always putting out new albums and only stops recording when she's on tour.

I think that's a bit of a leap. She's incredibly famous and her ex isn't so it's good, and seems plausible that she's keeping the boy out of the press.

If it's not karaoke yet, it will have to be soon, when they introduce all the pre-records for her to mime along to.

Where is the grand staging and the glitzy "show" that needed so long to get right? I've looked at a few videos on twatter and it's just her in various dresses on a fairly standard proscenium stage with most of it taken up by LED screen, a few lines of lights, and a band along the back. Hardly challenging or groundbreaking?
