Does anyone remember the playboy bunny image being a real thing? It was all over stationery etc and teens liked it as it was a pink bunny and weren’t really aware of its connotations- quite dodgy :(

Yeah, I'm surprised that was allowed as late as that.
I think stranger danger at that time (from my memory anywya) was literally still a stranger in the street offering you sweets, does anyone remember using chat rooms in the early 2000s? I look back and am horrified by the fact that I was 100% talking to adults who were trying to groom me. Luckily I never ended up giving my address but I came very, very close

I get so nostalgic listening to these 🥰 -
Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson - Valerie
Lily Allen - Smile
Razorlight - In the morning
Hi Tack - Say Say Say
Rihanna - Umbrella

Wearing thick black eyeliner with thin eyebrows, pale lipstick or gloss, side fringe, skinny jeans with ballet pumps or in winter tucked in knee high boots or uggs, tiny handbags. I must have looked a state!! 😂

Having a Pink Motorola Razr phone mid 00s or Nokia 3210 early 00sView attachment 1245741
3210 with snake on 😂

I'm 32.
I loved Bay Trading, Pilot and Tammy Girl
Those trousers with the skirt attached (may be very late 90s / early 00s I can't quite remember)
Vest top over vest top over vest top
Beaded necklaces
Does anyone remember pedal pushers?!
Recording the top 40 off of the radio on to a cassette and trying to stop recording before the talking started
Tamagotchis
MSN messenger and the signing in and out constantly to get people to notice you. The random username with all the <•●□/(BaByGiRl)\□●•> . Saying BRB to anyone even if you were just popping into the kitchen for a drink. Nowadays it takes up to 5 working days to text back.
Dial up Internet and your mum shouting for you to get off so she could use the phone.
The sims. I was OBSESSED.
Woolworths pick and mix
Bhs at Christmas, loved looking at all their Christmas crap.
K Swiss trainers
Playboy everything
Busted
Panic at the disco
Fall out boy
Kwiksave
Sunny D - everyone knew someone that it had turned orange
Playboy
Y2K
Sunday night would be antiques Road show and heartbeat

I know this is a thread for 00s nostalgia but is anyone getting nostalgia for the early 2010s? Not even that long ago but it seems such a different time, I watched Everything I Know About Love recently which I think is set in 2012 and it reminded me so much of my carefree twenties ... I've just ordered some 2010s magazines off Ebay too (remember £2 Glamour mags?!) 🙈

Just off the top of my head, I'm thinking Skater dresses, ombre hair, peak hipster style, gin, mustaches on everything, the rise of Instagram, aztec print dresses, avocados, secret cinema, 2012 Olympics!!

Does anyone else remember clear mascara? Did nothing, big waste of money but of course I had some, around 2001/2003.
Also all the ear cuffs for those of us who didn’t get the tops of our ears pierced. And toe rings!

My super embarrassing moment of this time was back to the text messages and only being able to have 5 or 6 messages saved, I wrote out the ones from a guy I really liked, saved them all in a note book. Much to my horror I found this notebook a few weeks ago and cringed so hard at all the messages and that I’d taken the time to copy them all exactly down in my absolute best writing 🤣🤣🤣

This thread is making me howl 😅🥱

I was looking at a pic of me in 2001 on a night out with those low rise white trousers with splits at the side, chain belt and a gypsy ruffle top, all from bay trading. Topping it off with my chunky highlights and cheap market make up. I genuinely thought I was the dogs bollocks 🙄

Going on nights out and getting picked up in random lads cars, christ knows how I survived those years. Genuinely the best years, the music, the non fakery. These little shits now wouldn't know a decent night out if it hit them in their contured face.

Sugar magazine :)

I have Furby pyjamas and a 12 year old asked what they were 😂
Praying someone who worked on those magazines comes to tell us what went on behind the scenes! They were v chaotic 😬 I only read them at school but feel like every other one had someone who didn’t know they were pregnant only to give birth in a toilet cubicle?

Most girls in my school used a Kookai bag as a school bag but took their PE kit in a plastic Jane Norman carrier bag. I also remember when UGG boots were popular the first time in the 00s.

I remember when stationary with the Playboy logo was popular in around year 7, seems weird now tweens having playboy branded stuff but back then nobody thought anything of it.
Around the time of playboy stationary, remember scented gel pens ?

Tammy or E Tam clothes
Long chunky pencils
Blow up chairs
Notebooks decorated in wrapping paper
Water tattoos you'd get in gum packets
Mr Freeze (Or something) tiptops
Crash bandicoot, Spyro...heck even Saga Mega Drive... Streets Of Rage...
Those wash out hair dyes that came in a packet with a pink brush/application on the end
Spaghetti dolls / Polly Pocket
Impulse, coty exclamation perfume, Charlie
Rihanna sos and umbrella
Gel pens
Claire's jewellery
Powerade in school (The blue one)
Maybelline mousse foundation
Scented gel pens
The mousse foundation had to be at least 2 shades darker than your skin tone
Early 90s babies would get home to watch stuff like the queens nose, my parents are aliens, Bernard's watch (wouldn’t it be amazing to actually have the watch), jungle run, 50:50
We had crazy bones, those aliens in eggs, tamagotchis, furbies, pokemon that wasn’t on own phones

Someone mentioned Sugar Rush the tv show.. I loved this and actually re watched recently and it totally holds up! The writing and acting were actually great and it was a show about an LGBT community in a time when I don’t think there was anything else for teens around with that type of subject. Great 90s/00s soundtrack!

Was anyone else into the emo/indie scene in the early-mid 2000s? Not jsut the look (side fringe, shag bands, wristbands, band T-shirts etc) but going to gigs, it was such a fun time! I saw pretty much every band of that time at the birmingham academy, I still remember queuing outside early, hanging out right at the front by the rails. Some amazing shows like taking back Sunday, the starting line, good Charlotte, new found glory, all those bands you’d see on kerrang tv and scuzz! I stopped going to gigs when I went to uni, not sure why, but it was a huge part of my teen life. MySpace and Bebe were a big part of that scene as well. You had to have a cool song on your MySpace and lots of custom html with fonts etc lol.
