Will you be doing anything for New Years Eve?

Over the years this seems to have become less of an event. I remember even 10 years ago a lot of pubs were virtually empty past 9 and everyone just went home or off to parties. And a lot of people answer now when I ask them is "Spending it at home with Jules" - but even that doesn't seem a big TV event like it once was.

I'm working NYD so it's an early night for me anyway

At home with family , was obsessed with celebrating it in my twenties in clubs etc but now a club or west end is a nightmare thought to me on new years , quite like watching the fireworks on tv and a class of wine to see in the new year but that’s about it!😂

I’ll be at home with my daughter. I want to take the tree down in the morning and blitz the house then we will visit family. My parents usually go all out with food but it might be a takeaway once we get home if we don’t bother this year.

Mine will just be at home watching the tv. I don’t really care for new year, January starts the 27th of December for me 😂

I'll be on my own, at home, knocking about in a very ordinary way.
I'm burned out, tired, and turned down the few non-awful options available. I'm looking forward to it!
I'll spend the day taking down and packing away the decorations and doing a bit of housework then in the evening I'll have a drink, eat the last of the garbage food, fill in my Year Compass and maybe get an early night 🤷‍♀️

NYE/NY means absolutely nothing to me. I've never understood the fuss. I don't begrude people their fun but I hate the expectation that I'm supposed to be falling over myself in desperation to mark the day.

I like to go to bed early but then the fireworks wake me up, so will probably just watch TV or read like I usually do.

Had a rubbish year so nothing to celebrate - this year will just be me and my OH at home. Will cook a nice dinner, have a drink or two and chill. If I’m awake at midnight it will be a miracle 😂

We don't particularly enjoy it but we've booked a hotel to eat cheese and listen to 90s music before our baby arrives in january. A last hurrah if you will.

I plan on being in bed with my hubby and little girl and starting a new series/watching a film. May even go wild and be asleep by midnight 🤣

I do like listening to the countdown, but will have a lovely meal (seabass), possibly a drink, it will be relaxed :)

I'll be working my 4th 12 hour shift in a row tomorrow so my plans involve me relaxing with a takeaway watching tit on the tv with Mr Tuke. I'll probably still be awake at midnight, people in my area tend to let off fireworks that we watch from our bedroom window.

We’re off to a friends house… I’m driving and we will be in the car on the way home by 12:05 🤣

The highlight for me is the double parkrun weekend 👌

Out for dinner for siblings birthday. Be home by 8pm and just an evening in. Don't really like new year!

I used to love celebrating Hogmanay in Scotland. Back in the day when the pubs and clubs were absolutely packed out, everyone kissing and hugging at the bells and wishing everyone a happy new year, a piper piping Auld Lang Syne. I live in England now and no one really celebrates it down here. We’re taking our kids to a show in the day and then it’ll be some party food and some music when we get home but we’ll probably all sleep through the bells!
We always start the new year with a big walk and a roast dinner though to blow any hangovers away!

At home this year. I always remember early in the evening one year when there was just two of us on the dancefloor and this song came on.... 1 min in when he says Dirty bit, I kicked my leg and my shoe flew off across the dancefloor 😂 🤣 🤭 I grabbed it, put it back on and carried on dancing though
