I found a grey hair ... shall we say ... elsewhere the other day. Was much more upset at that than any greys on my head 😊

I think I was 30 when I found my first grey hair. I was sitting at my desk at work. Distraught. They should have sent me home really I could think of nothing else for the rest of the day. However as it transpires because I always have my hair coloured anyway they’ve not proved to be too much of a problem although there were a hell of a lot more of them in lockdown and I was so glad when I could see my hairdresser again, I missed her more than anyone! 😄

I started when I was around 33 I think, but I didn't realise because I had been dying my hair all sorts of colours for years at the time. I'm not grey all over, I have grey behind my ears and a streak on my forehead. If I didn't dye it I'd resemble Rogue from x men but older, not so perky boobs and more tired 😂

Not sure when I went grey, but I first noticed that I have grey hairs during lockdown. 😂 5 months of not touching up my roots was quite the revelation! 😱

I first noticed my first greys hair aged around 28, two appeared right at front, quite different in texture to the rest of my hair, after growing my dyed blonde out. I dyed my hair black after and kept dying it black everytime I saw roots. It was what I assumed a boring brown originally. I do not find dyed black hair, especially waist length black hair on older women very flattering, especially mid 30-40 onward, and although I do look good for my age, I decided at 36 I would start growing it out to it's natural state. I've got to about 4 inches so far and it still looks like I have just the two and my natural hair seems to be a gorgeous icey brown with so many different colours in it, both cool and warm, it looks so healthy too. It actually looks beautiful and regretted dying it so much throughout my years where I would have probably would have flaunted it at my very best! For the sake of two grey hairs 🤦‍♀️

In my late twenties/early thirties was when I started to really notice it. I would say that, when my roots come through now, I could be mistaken for Philip Schofield if I went out and about 😂 My hair grows really quickly though so my roots start coming through after only a week or so after dying.

My mum went grey when she was 18. She's 65 and still going to get it coloured. She will never give in! 😆

I was 12 when I got my first grey. Had quite a bit by the time I was 15. Premature greying seems to run in the family - on my dad’s side, so my mum is nearly 70 and I’m greyer than her. I’m on the other side of my mid 30s now and if the wind blows a certain way I’ve got a full of white skunk chunk (my natural hair is very dark dark dark brown)! I dye my hair on and off. Trying to get to the stage where my greys looks intentional and not just unkempt. The lock down and continuation of wfh has helped with this.

I look very young for my age so my greys are actually much loved.

Ah man. I noticed my first grey when I was about 28 I think and I was devastated. My hair has always been so important to me, it’s the one thing I always liked about myself and I never dyed it and always looked after it.

I’m 34 now and I have a sprinkling of greys. I cover them with semi-permanent dye. Trying to hold off permanently dyeing my hair for as long as I can!

I started at 29 and I thought I was the only one but now I see I am not alone! I used to dye it every 3 months or so, but now due to Covid I’ve stopped and am considering just letting it be. I think the greys give me a bit of sophisticated “je ne sais quoi” 🤣🤣🤣. Okay, don’t know if it’s just me trying to make myself believe it or if it’s true, but there is certainly something liberating about not dying one’s hair. My husband doesn’t mind it, and as long as he says he can live with it, I will, too. My mom, on the other hand, has been dying her hair for years and can’t believe I let my greys show! She thinks I’m crazy. Maybe it’s a generational thing? I’m starting to think grey hair is kind of cool. 😎

I'm 40 (almost 41) and I have none yet. People don't believe that my hair colour is my own (mid-dark brown) and that it's not dyed.

I noticed my first grey hair when I was around 15 😅 I have naturally black hair though so had to start dying it. I'm 25 now and would maybe say if I left it grow out around 25% would be grey 😬
