What Makes You Feel Old? #2

Bingo being offered as a usual entertainment in most womens groups over 50.
I've never liked bingo and I considered joining a fairly local womens group until I saw that one of their activities was bingo. Tempt me with a circular saw but i will run in opposite direction at the mention of bingo.

Watching The Vicar of Dibley and realising that most of the cast have passed away!
However some were not exactly young when it was on!
The actress who played Letitia, was 79 when it ended 25 years ago, the actor who played Frank was 71.

I picked up a pistachio Vienetta today for a bit of a different pudding and me and my husband were telling the children how Vienetta was really fancy when we were small and you only had it on special occasions... It cost me £2 😆.

My husband and I are having a serious discussion about how good our new dishwasher is. How tablet dispenser is a good size, the cutlery thing is great etc etc ... Hubby has just said 'do you realise how old and boring we must be sound?' 🤣

(It is a good dishwasher though)

I'm not sure how insulted I should feel about this
As a disabled person I'm entitled to a discounted coach ticket when I show my bus pass. It's put through as a student or OAP return. They keep putting it through as OAP! I'm only 36!

We got a smart dryer and omg it tells you when the water or fluff needs changing we were bragging about it 😂

My new dishwasher arrives tomorrow and I am rooster-a-hoop about having a cutlery tray instead of a basket. I intend to spend many hours admiring it and opening and closing it. Our current one came with the house, and at a guess it must be at least 15-20 years old,

Another thing at 67 my right leg is refusing to do the work and leaving it to my left to get me up from a kneeling position, so I have had to start doing exercises to try to strengthen the refusenik right leg.

I will be taking up bingo next!

I get excited about grown up looking Christmas wrapping paper to wrap everyones presents that aren't the kids. It's so pretty as well

As a 44 year old, when I sit on the floor, even if just for two mins, the getting up process is not very smooth nor comfortable! 😆

Since 40, I’ve had to learn to apply my winged eyeliner completely differently because I have slight eye folds that I didn’t have before 😭 so I have to draw the wing lower. It took me a couple of years to get the hang of it!

And now I’m starting to experience my powder foundation (which I’ve been wearing since age 23) is no longer suitable for my skin, and I’ve learned (from awesome 40+ Dubai makeup artist Nina Ubhi on her YouTube channel) that powdered make up in general is not suitable for mature skin. It needs to be liquid foundation, liquid blush, etc. so I now have to re-learn makeup application and products.

When they show a photo of someone on the TV or somewhere and you automatically judge them to be at least 10 years older than you are, and it turns out they're actually 10 or 15 years younger. o_O

Pretty sure it's always been £2?

When I wear my knitted bonnet, padded coat and fur boots of a cold day. Because I look like a Babushka.
