What Makes You Feel Old? #2

Finding other people annoying everywhere I go. When I was younger I thought my parents moaning about parking, traffic, rude sales people, bad service, prices of things, “youths” etc was just them being old and boring. But now?!? OMG everything gets to me!! Just been to the cinema and the amount of people talking, looking at their phones, putting their feet up on the occupied seats in front of them, getting up and going and coming back…..ugh. Don’t pay to go places and then not make the most, and certainly don’t spoil it for others!!
Signed, Grandma BonBon (I’m 42, not 82, but I feel it 👵🏻)

Same girl, same. People do my absolute nut in. Just annoying with zero consideration for others. I sound like my Dad but the older I get the more I understand why he moans constantly 😆

I feel your pain
I now feel like my grandma I turn the tv on and everything seems geared to simpletons and it’s the same tired boring unfunny Z list celebrities as guests on every program

I was watching a kids tv programme from the early 1990s and was really shocked at the language and vocabulary they used because there were some very big words and advanced phrases and you realise how completely dumbed down tv is for kids now. The language is highly simplified and this might be why so many don’t know bigger words or that few people are reading these days.

Ordering our first power reclining sofa and getting excited over the power headrest thingy.

Oh, and the real oldy thing - measuring our old sofa from floor to 'a cheek' - then measuring every sofa that my wife liked to check there was around 1.5-2 times the floor to 'a cheek' ratio - easy to get out of - did ponder one of those old people riser chairs, but the wife wants a sofa and the kids still live with us as we only just knocking 50 :ROFLMAO:.

2 sofas ordered so there's no arguments over who gets the recliner bits. I'll figure out the logistics of where the buggering Christmas tree goes in late November - even if we end up with 'half' a tree - as in I only 'plug in' the front branches and push it further into its normal gap. Thats fun for later in the year!

Watching Christina Aguilera's Dirrty music video, realizing that this came out when I was 12. I probably had no business watching it, I definitely didn't understand a lot of the things going on in there. And I'd probably raise some eyebrows today if my imaginary daughter was watching it. But did I try to dance like her? Yes.

I feel that, I’ve started listening to Radio 2 in the car because adverts and repeated songs annoy me, and I can’t cope with the “noise” of Radio 1 😭😭😭 Might as well get my pension book and a place in the nursing home reserved now.

I’ve always liked it, since the start! TOTP reruns are great, 70s, 80s, 90s (a special place in my heart for late 70s/early 80s, though).
