I feel physically sick. You’ve just made me realise I’m closer to my 50s than being a teen. Oh my good god.Yeah I mentally don't feel that far away from being a teenager when in reality I'm about as far away from it as I'm away from people on their 50s. I'm actually refusing to accept that teenagers don't see me as one of them haha I still feel down with the kids (I'm not)

I've been warned that you really don't give a sh1t one you're age 60. I work in a secondary school and said to one of the pupils ‘the world is your lobster’ (Arthur Daley - Minder). A teacher in her 30’s looked at me and said ‘surely you mean oyster?’.
A few years ago I had a trainee teacher in my class and I was telling her how I was going to see Robert Plant that night. Totally blank faced reaction as she had no idea who he was and had never heard of Led Zeppelin. 🫣

My goddaughter wanted to go "thrifting" today and knew of a new vintage shop close by ... I love a dig through a charity shop so said I'm in!. Now vintage to me is tea dresses, brooches etc but no rail upon rail of Champion jumpers, kappa poppers, Adidas track tops.

One of my kids is learning to drive. Today she asked me why I left my car in gear. I explained that when I learnt to drive 30 YEARS AGO that’s how we were taught. 30 years!!!! I find myself saying ‘in my day’ a lot now too
