Sorry to hear this, to be honest stepping down will probably be for the best, carrying on would probably have been soul-destroying in the long Most charities these days even the small ones are changing into money-making machines and the actual charity purpose is a front. I have seen this happen over and over again with the small charities now following the steps of the large ones. Any person who tries to do what is best for the people/animals/place the charity is for, normally gets a kick in the face.I am part of a Charity committee and I was nominated back in as President after a two year stint a few years back, but now the powers that be decided that any office bearers have to do a training course. I worked my backside off on the course for about a month before submitting it ahead of taking the Presidency back on. It was sent back to me within quarter of an hour of Emailing it away and it was torn to bits.
"In a word - Shit" was one comment. "Did you write this while you were pissed?" was another. If I take something on I throw my heart into it and give it my all, so that hurt, especially when I was President in the past and the Charity was in the best place it had been in for years (not tooting my own horn there - it is just how I work) It is close to folding because of all the Covid lockdowns and all that and my plan outlined in the course - which I was nominated for by the guy who has ripped my work to shreds - was to recover the Charity post Covid. It was compared to "Something you would find coming out of the back end of a dog"
I worked with the guy and made changes but I soon realised that he has a view of how the Charity should be working and wanted to change my ideas into his and let me be the scapegoat when it backfired. I took great pride this evening in picking up the phone and withdrawing from the nomination. I love the Charity but it isn't worth the hassle. Sadly by default now it means he will come in as President so I hate to think where the Charity is heading.

What the hell, how is that any of her business in the first place? You should have asked her if she was taught manners. That's so rude!I went swimming this morning, As I was stood at the mirror brushing out my long wet hair after my swim, the lady beside me, who I see in the pool occasionally and just say 'hello ' to, turned to me and said 'You should get your hair cut'.
And I'm not even joking. What a cheeky b1t(h. I was rendered speechless.
PS She herself has what I think is an ugly grey short-back-and-sides. Although I would not dream of saying so to her. I have manners.
The ENT department in my area currently has a 3 year waiting listI feel your pain. I've had it all my life. Its constant. I get a high pitched ringing, that comes in waves. I also have a hearing impairment and when I was little I failed every hearing test, the consultant thought I was faking it because my results were so erratic but it's only looking back now that I realise that the frequencies they played me triggered my tinnitus and I was responding to the ringing in my ears, not the sounds in the test!
Which brings me on to my grumble... I'm waiting for a referral to the ENT department to see about hearing aids, they were supposed to be in touch a month ago but I've still heard nothing and have yet to get through on the phone!
