Hubby is diabetic, thought I'd treat him to some Werther's sugar free ( we've had them before) blimey shrink nation, and you have to suck hard to get any flavour, I'm trying one now, been in me gob for 10mins, 😞

School receptionists are the evil little sisters of GP receptionists. Had to drop my teenagers off to school this morning late because the school bus driver missed out two streets (one being mine). She demanded a reason why they were late, and how it "seemed implausible" two streets could be missed 🤯🤬. She soon shut up when another parent came in behind me with her child complaining the school bus hadn't gone along her road 🤣🤣

Last year I received a letter saying I'd claimed for a free prescription I wasn't entitled to because I'd ticked the maternity exemption box on the form.
I was a bit confused as I'd only had 1 prescription in the time period mentioned on the letter, it had been sent to the pharmacy by 111, and I didn't remember signing anything.
When I went back on my Internet banking I could see where I'd paid for the prescription, so I rang them, they asked for a screenshot, which I sent, and they cancelled the fine.
If I'd paid for that prescription with cash I'd have had no proof, because there's no way I'd have kept a receipt for over 6 months for a prescription for some antibiotics.

We have people coming into work wanting refunds who have lost their receipt and didn't want an e-receipt. It's a lot easier for me to trace a transaction if you've paid by card and can show it on your bank statement.

I don't really have an issue with cash, and we still happily take it at work. But there are occasions when cash is most definitely not king.

Cash only places don’t get my custom. I’m not going out of my way to go to the cashpoint, I don’t even know my PIN 😂

I know it's old,but I am still not over the MJ price increase. 3 weeks back off it and cannot fit my rings on my fingers 😞. The inflammation benefits for me were amazing,am now really struggling with joint pain again. It's not just a weight loss medication and it's about time it was recognised as such. And before anyone starts, yes I know there's a MJ thread, but that's for advice and people still/going to use it. My rant is the fact it's been priced out of reach for many people that did use it

What the Hell is the obsession with squishies? Is it a TikTok thing?

We've had a load sent into the store I work in and I'm sick of the groups of kids spending ages messing around with them, as well as all the ones that are being stolen or destroyed.

Even the ones we're actually selling will all be in the bin once the trend dies in a few weeks/months.
oh not again lol! They must have come round again as my youngest was obsessed with these at primary school (about 8/9 years ago). horrid smelly plastic tat from china with god knows what chemicals in them ! They look cute though!

Absolutely! It’s cured my acne, red/dry/cracked skin, nighttime anxiety, hip pain, plantar fasciitis. And the weight loss has kicked a lot of my other problems like palpitations, numbness. And just all the obvious health benefits. I’m sick of being told I cheated and took the easy way out. It’s just a medication for an illness.

They’re not even cute this time around. The current favourite seems to be a block of butter. Why would you want to carry that around 🤣🤣🤣

Now I’ve joined in with all your rants, I came here to moan about noise, surprise surprise. The neighbours I asked planning to look at sat in the street running their engine for a good hour at 2am, then made an awful racket reversing their modified shitbag of a car up the alleyway that’s not meant for cars. Then four lads got out and went into the garage for a party until gone 4am.

I would like to try MJ for my diabetes. I can't tolerate Metformin and am now on Dapaglifozin but feel like I've got a constant urine infection. It's beyond miserable and my diet has to be so restricted as a result - eating carbs makes it 10 times worse. Only my diabetic nurse can't prescribe it, and because my BMI is 33 I'm under the limit to be prescribed it under weight management. The only option to be properly monitored while taking it is to go through a private GP but having priced it, they want £250 for an initial consult and blood tests then it's around £300 a month plus the fees to see their private nurse for ongoing blood tests. And truthfully, it really really pisses me off that it's a drug that was initially focused on the diabetic market. There would be public outrage if it was a cancer treatment being abused on the private prescription platform as MJ/others are.

But that’s NHS / funding issues. The drug isn’t being misused or causing stock issues by using it for weight loss.

This is my exact situation. I have all other co morbitites required apart from the BMI,however my Diabetes has been in remission for about 4 years now so not on Jardiance, which was absolutely brilliant for me,I lost far more weight on that than MJ. For me it's not the weight loss as much as everything else. So do I now eat myself back to a weight where my diabetes returns ? It's ridiculous

I want to look at the injections, as my PCOS is still crazy, but I had a gastric band over a decade ago and my BMI is still in the red zone. However, I also feel like it's not enough to justify it.

Yes I have PCOS also and as you know it's incredibly difficult to lose weight with that condition no matter what people proclaim,it's a medical fact. In my opinion the criteria needs to be much broader,I don't even mind paying private, but not at the prices they want now.

My bleeping consultant's appointment has been cancelled AGAIN, it's been 6 months since I was referred and each month it gets cancelled and rebooked, just to be cancelled three weeks later.

I now have to shell out nearly £1000 to go private because I can't get travel insurance if I don't get answers. I was supposed to be seen urgently in February 😔 I just feel so deflated

Make a complaint whatever way you can.

My moan of the day is that an under three year old window has apparently suffered a stress fracture when the temperature was only 22 degrees and the window company won't cover it. Complaint incoming.

A few weeks ago my beloved 23 year old Nissan Micra finally packed up. I've had it almost 19 years and I bloody loved that car. I've had it scrapped today and was in bits. Stupid how you can get so attached to a lump of metal!

Found the perfect replacement via a private seller, got the insurance in place and went round to collect it only to find out he couldn't find the log book so I wasn't able to complete. I really haven't the energy to keep looking for anything else😭

As great as it is to see children on bikes I wish parents wouldn't allow them to be ridden in cafes etc.
