I wouldn't bother with the Dyson straightener. I sent mine back, I get better results with my Ghd's!

Which silk pillowcase did you buy?
Thanks for that 🤗 - they look clunky and like my hair would snag in the plates!

The pillowcase: It was one from Amazon, around £16.99 and 100% mulberry silk, both sides are silk too. I wash it in a delicates bag and it’s still as good as new.

Oh really that’s disappointing, I had the airwrap but had to send it back because it did nothing for my hair. I’ve heard mixed feedback about about ghds but the platinum ones look good. I’m torn lol. I’ve had my current ghds for like 13 years

How is the disco bag? I only heard negative things from Lily P but not sure she looked after it well.
I’ve had one for about 5 years and honestly I have had so much use from it, it’s like a Tardis. It’s my everyday bag and because of its caviar leather it’s really durable. No negativity here 😃

It’s some kind of tech in our house. Oh, and Lego 😆 that’s mainly my OH and kids though, although a couple of bits have been bought for me as presents.

I wouldn’t say a specific thing for me, but if I realllly wanted something I’d find a way to justify buying it 🙈 most recent purchase is decent skincare stuff.

Has it made a difference to your skin? I'm starting to get creases when I wake up 😳

That's exactly how the straighteners felt. I cant explain it, but it as you close the plates and move them, my hair felt crispybifbthat makes sense?!

If my hair was longer, I'd definitely consider Air wrap but I'm still curling with my reliable gas tongs 🤣🤣

Order it and give it a go, you can always return them if you don't get on with them

Sorry for the late reply, just seen this x

I was suffering with spots last year, came from nowhere as I’ve always had good skin. The pillow has definitely helped, I make sure I was it every few days and turn it over in between. I wouldn’t say it has been the sole reason for sorting my skin but definitely helped. I still get the odd crease but nothing bad.
I might get the straighteners and do that - did you get them from Dyson or QVC? Thanks 😊

I got them from Dyson directly.

My pillowcase is coming today!! Got a new sleep eye mask from the same material too and have changed my bed in anticipation, can't wait to sleep tonight!

Tonight I’m going to buy the second cheapest bottle of sparkling wine on the shelf, not the cheapest.

That’s as crazy as I can afford right now. I know how to live, I tell thee 💃🏻🎉🥂🤪

We had ducted air conditioning installed last year. The best money we’ve ever spent.
God, I would love to have air conditioning in my house. The only reason I haven't is because of lack of space for the units on the walls but it is definitely something I would splurge on.

I do love a good restaurant. I'll spend money in a nice restaurant. It's my favourite thing to do. The last big thing I did like that was a Saturday evening at The Ritz where they have entertainment and a band. A brilliant night.

I also like a good hotel. I would rather spend less nights somewhere fab than extra nights in somewhere not so nice.

I splurged on an extended holiday in Australia for 5 months. No regrets, I had the most amazing time and got to experience some amazing things.
I second this. My biggest splurge of my Oz trip was 2.5k on the flight! I told myself it was a once in a lifetime opportunity so I wanted to fly comfortably. (Ended up visiting again 2yrs later 😂)

In terms of splurging... Some people are into designer handbags or shoes... I'm into antique rugs. 😂

My biggest splurge was a huge antique Heriz rug - no regrets at all; I admire it every day and will hopefully have it for the rest of my life.

In terms of a more practical expense, it would have to be my bed. My husband is very tall and very heavy and so we decided to invest in a very good quality super king bed and mattress. Cost a small fortune but it was so worth it as I don't go flying across the room when he tosses and turns in the middle of the night. 🤣

I have a mulberry but it’s only for special occasions. I did go big and spend £2k on a craft cupboard last lockdown instead of a shed. It’s amazing!

My new kitchen , total refurb right back to bare bricks, pipes being moved, new ceiling to accommodate more lighting. Im not even going to write the cost down as it was double our original budget. I hope it’s worth the expense and upheaval.

We spent £7000 on a custom made u shaped sofa that is so excessively large if we was to move anywhere else it probably wouldn’t fit 🤪

I just bought a MacBook Air. I've wanted one from when I used to see the cool girls in the library at uni. Now that I have my job and a house (and someone to split it half and half with me) I finally got it. So far so good. It's so light compared to my old laptop!

I'm currently saving up for a Dyson hair dryer, my hair is so thick and curly that I feel it would cut down the drying time to much and maybe encourage me to look after my hair rather than sticking it in French pleats all the time.

I got a MacBook at uni too, I felt so cool in the library 😂 I’ve upgraded now to a MacBook Pro for my PhD studies. It doesn’t even compare to my Dell laptop I used haul around with me.

Haha I'm currently looking at a masters that I want to do (and work will pay for) and I'll be the cool girl! Alas it's distance learning I'll have to find a coffee shop and be a hipster.
