What did you splurge on?

For me it was some scented Vivienne Westwood shoes that were like these in the pic. They absolutely CRIPPLED me, I bought them in two colours and sold them later on eBay 🤦🏻‍♀️

My sister had these shoes, they smelled so good 😂😂

For me - probably an iPad. I have a pair of boots that were £250 but other than those I don’t usually spend a lot on clothing

The smell was the best thing. I don’t know why I thought wearing plastic heeled shoes in a sweaty nightclub would be a good idea 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Mulberry bag and purse, dyson hairdryer and peloton bike - now considering the dyson straightener but need to research a bit more!

I prefer buying things that I know will last years, potentially forever. I do a lot of research before i commit to spending it so it’s not something I do at the drop of a hat 😁

I’m saving for a house deposit so watching my money but I tend to splurge on skincare/make-up & technology (I bought a DLSR camera and the new MacBook Pro last year 😬).

A villa in Portugal, which we haven’t really gotten much use out of due to the pandemic as we finalised late August 2019.

I’m not really big on buying designer items. Anytime I have bought a bag or received one, I am too frightened to put it down when I go out as I have to have everything looking pristine. So I don’t bother anymore!

I have to ask, was the Dyson hairdryer worth it? I don’t know anyone with one and would love to know!

I’ve got one, I have very thick curly hair and it’s been a life saver. Really cut my time drying down and makes my hair look nicer! Plus they have a great warranty.

I have the Dyson Airwrap which is also good and I’d probably recommend over the hairdryer as it does all the things you can do with the dryer - and more! I have thick hair and it’s been amazing at making my hair behave itself.

@megsmagoo I’m interested in the straighteners too, but heard mixed reviews. Would love to know if anyone has them and their thoughts!

Love this thread 😂 I’d been saving all my over time from last year to either buy myself a Gucci handbag, private number plate or a very expensive lens for my camera - I’ve just blown it on a lay z spa for my husbands birthday as a surprise. A treat we’ll all get to use... But god I really wanted a Gucci handbag 😭

Get the handbag!! But you might as well save and wait a bit for things to get back to normal and then you can use it - at least you’ll get use from the spa!

After insisting on wearing stupid ballet pumps and £5 primark trainers in my teens and early twenties, I now think good shoes are worth a splurge! Arch support and not having wet feet when it rains is sooo worth it.

Bags/leather goods and coats I also don’t mind spending a bit more on.

Also LOVE expensive bedding - I only have 1 set and I use it every night and will last years (I hope!) so cost per use is minimal 😂

This - we invested in a Tempur memory foam mattress and honestly it’s amazing. I bought a silk pilliowcase for my skin and hair and that has definitely made a difference too.

Which Gucci handbag do you want? I wanted the Soho bag but now Im thinking more of the Givenchy Antigona.

I splurged on an extended holiday in Australia for 5 months. No regrets, I had the most amazing time and got to experience some amazing things.

I wouldn't bother with the Dyson straightener. I sent mine back, I get better results with my Ghd's!

Which silk pillowcase did you buy?

How is the disco bag? I only heard negative things from Lily P but not sure she looked after it well.
I love it, tbh not had much use out if it since last year, but you can fit your phone, cards, glasses, lippy & other bits in its great for day or night. I’m just not keen on the tassels. I look after it when it’s not in use kept in the box.
