boats and the sea.

I'm fine dipping my feet in but the thought of sailing far out into the ocean gives me the creeps.

This is pathetic I know but as a kid I used to find the Beast from Beauty and the Beast terrifying. Specifically two scenes; when Belles father is in the chair and he turns and the beast is there, and the scene where he screams at belle “GO AHEAD AND STARVE” 😂😂😂 legit both of those scenes still fill me with fear 😂

So basically it’s a phobia of a cartoon
I absolutely love the Beast 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 he’s harmless! 😌

Cockroaches. I dunno what it is about them. Creepy little fuckers. When I was younger we had this roulette type boardgame and once when I span the wheel there was something spinning in it making a weird clicking sound as I went round and round.. it was a cockroach.

Shitting myself in public. This one used to be so much worse and is thankfully much better now but it does still pop into my head sometimes. I've got IBS and when I've got to go I've got to go. This links on to not loving buses, airplanes....places where there are times when you can't go to the toilet if you need to. I wouldn't go on a hot air balloon for this very reason. What if you need a poo?

Men who claim they're 'feminists' and go on about it like it's their main personality trait but they're actually the most sexist, misogynistic pricks imaginable (why have I met so many of these?).

I never thought I was claustrophobic until the day I climbed the Scott Monument in Edinburgh.
I don't know what happened, but Jesus I just freaked out completely.

Going back down and a large man was coming up and wouldn't move back so I could keep going down. I ended up shouting at him to get out of my way (and I'm never like that. Usually I'm an idiot who lets people walk all over me, but that's another story)

Got to the bottom, got out and just ended up shaking and crying. I think I had some kind of panic attack.
My husband didn't know what the hell was going on.
Aw I haven’t been up there since I was a wee girl and I remember liking it.

As an adult I got my bf tickets for us to go to the Statue of Liberty Crown. Was so buzzing for it. as you climb higher and higher it becomes just a set of ladders essentially. I had to get out of there and thought I was gonna faint- ears and hearing screwed, stomach in knots, heart racing and frantic breathing. Think it was a panic attack (not sure as it’s the only experience like it)

Horrific. So I can understand completely where you came from. It’s horrid!

The film ET. Honestly, I’m terrified. No idea why, I even remember watching it quite happily as a young child. Even just thinking about it now and what it looks like and the noises it makes... my heart starts beating really fast and I feel like crying 😭😂 I try once a year to watch it and cure my fear but I always turn it off before it even comes on the screen 😅
Omg Same here!!!!!!!! Had nightmares every night from age 9-17. Thought I was the only person in the world scared of him!!

The thought of paper/cotton wool touching my teeth 🤢

Other people’s snot and poo. If I see someone picking their nose / talk about snot / if I can smell poo / even just talking about poo, I cannot control myself I can’t stop gagging to the point I’ll actually throw up. A lot of my friends / family think it’s hilarious so around me will start talking about it and I can’t control myself I have to leave the room as I uncontrollably heave 🤢🤢

Circus tents. I saw a movie years ago where one caught fire, and everyone was trapped inside, burning.... 😨🎪🔥

I have an awful phobia of wide open spaces especially water or a really open field etc. I’ve had it since I was about 7 when I had a panic attack during a swimming lesson and thought that was weird. It wasn’t until I got a lot older that I put everything that made me panic together and the one thing in common was a really wide space 🙈 embarrassing. No one even knows, I avoid these things or if I find myself in a situation where I’m in a wide space I have to really suppress a panic attack by usually pretending I feel sick.

Rubber spiders or rubber insects like the real ones don’t bother me but as soon as it’s Halloween you won’t see me in a shop or party 🤣

Car ferries or any large ships. Especially container ships. I’m absolutely terrified of them. I’m also petrified of the circus, more specifically the big top. Even the sight of it makes me shiver.
