I can see that as being a possible motive. What the hacker did was completely unacceptable, yet probably avoidable. I have started to notice the lack of interest they have towards fans for a while now. All they seem to care about now is making as much money as possible whilst putting in the least effort.
Yeah definitely. I've long stopped playing GTA 5. I did a self boycott of the game when they kept adding more money making stuff to GTA Online. They even cancelled the single player DLC that was as good as promised so they could focus on the online version.

GTA 4 had two DLC single player games, GTA 5 had none. (And yes I know my boycott would have had no impact, but it was the principle 😂 )

The problem is that if you announce a game too soon, people start getting pissed off that it's not out for X years or when it's delayed - games are delayed all the time during development but you want to get as much time as possible to develop it BEFORE it's announced so all the snags and delays are not public. In a previous life I worked in gaming and one massive project we did was delayed by almost a year, but the public never knew about it because it wasn't announced until after the delays were clear to the development team.

They'll be under some pressure now to start releasing details that probably aren't ready and it creates a risk of rushing the product out because now people expect it.
I do get that and normally I'd agree, but I think Rockstar have taken the piss a bit with GTA 6.

After all, it's been 9 years since GTA 5, so it was pretty obvious they were working on a sequel. Given the fact the franchise is huge, they'd have been crazy not to be. But not even hinting at GTA 6 development was annoying in my opinion.

Nintendo did a very brief teaser for Tears of the Kingdom in 2019 and we now know the game won't be out till 2023. Okay yeah there were a few annoyed people, but overwhelmingly I've seen online comments that make it clear a lot of people would prefer Nintendo take the time to get it right.

Has anyone played the new Monkey Island yet? I'm going to download it soon and I've heard good things 😊

I’ve started it, it picks up where MI2 left off, which feels weird after all these years. Looking forward to having more time to play it at the weekend but so far so good 👍

Jumping into the yakuza series, has anyone played it? Wondering if there's any tips on new players, all I looked up was the order to play it in

Speaking of rose-colored glasses. Consider the typical 25–35 year old gamer. Watch him criticise Day One DLC! Watch in awe as she disparages "freemium" and "pay-to-win" games! Observe in shock as he waxes sentimental about spending four quarters to play for one minute on a game he didn't own, where the screen was busted and half the buttons weren't functional because a moron spilled soda on it!

Hardware has advanced to the point that purchasing your own entertainment system is more cost-efficient and practical than "renting" one from an arcade. Call me snot-nosed or cynical, but I don't think this is a bad thing.

I agree with this, I'd rather games don't say anything rather than realise a coming soon or a date an then keep pushing it back

I got pissed when they did that with cyberpunk an now with hogwarts legacy
Yeah, at least a company saying "we'll release it when it's ready" is more honest.

Love this! First games I remember are Shinobi and Mortal Kombat on my brother’s Sega Master System.

Loved Theme Hospital and Theme Park on the PC when I was a kid. Tried getting into Two Point Hospital when it came out but I rage-quit because it was too hard. Still play Rollercoaster Tycoon every now and then when I fancy it.

I’ve played The Sims since it’s release in 2000 and still I can quite easily spend all evening playing it and ignoring my family. Became addicted to Stardew Valley during lockdown. I prefer simulation sort of games. Anything with fighting stresses the hell out of me and I end up panic-shooting everything.
does anyone know a working safe download for theme park world?

Just finished fire emblem three hopes, it's got me super hyped for engage now an am so glad the fighting style from three houses is returning for engage as three hopes was like madness lol

Sounds good, i just got a copy of three houses at the weekend, managed to trade in a bunch of old 3DS games for it. Not played yet though as we’re busy with Pokémon

PSA this is your chance to snap up The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt at a good price before it's next-gen update lands in early Dec! It's £7 on Steam for the GOTY version and you'll get the next-gen update for free! Totally worth it - we got at least 80-90 hours of playthrough on the main story and I was over 130 hours of gameplay when I finished the DLC story and had loads of side quests still to do. Don't know if it's discounted for any other platforms as we only have a PC but 100% worth the money - it looked stunning already for a 2015 game so will only look even better after the update.

I loved three houses, got like 200 hours in that game, I got the dlc as well which gave the forth house, the only complaint about the dlc was you couldn't pick characters, it gave you certain ones an the ones it gave you I wasn't so keen on them, I preferred the fighting style in 3 houses as well to 3 hopes as it was a bit more relaxed an you could think

Hope you enjoy it, was so good

Can't wait to get this for myself. Been hoping for a come down in price as hate paying stupidly high for a download.
Is it as utterly frustrating and addictive as the last ones? I wasn't holding out for much but the reviews are so positive!

Is anyone having trouble purchasing off Game online ? it keeps rejecting my payment method .

I finished gta 3 from the remastered tribology over Christmas. Glad I played it and it was ok but nothing amazing. I had played the original a few times when I was younger but never finished it or even got past the first few missions. I didn't realise you could miss certain missions if you played them in a certain order though which is slightly annoying but I'm not going to replay it to do them haha. Looking forward to starting vice city now!

I've also bought the assassins creed ezio collection on sale which is another one where I played the originals but never finished them

Goldeneye coming to switch 😃

I really should get on with playing breath of the wild with 2 not that long away, I've completed the main thing but it feels like I've barely scratched the surface.

My partner had a Goldeneye Nintendo 64 when I met him, it was the only reason he had it. I need to get on and play BoTW too

I can't wait for the NSO version of Goldeneye! I loved the N64 version and had given up hope that it'd be officially re-released on any Nintendo consoles due to the complex legal issues.

So to see it on the Switch with online multiplayer was a shock. Been wondering for a while when it'd be released, so it was great to get the news that it's out tomorrow. :D
