Looking forward to starting vice city now!
Have you started it yet? I looked at the remasters graphics online but they didn’t blow me away, maybe I was expecting too much haha. Is it the same set up as it was previously or is it harder? Can you still auto aim and use cheats?

Well I think I jinxed myself as my TV broke not long after I wrote this so I haven't had a chance to play it yet till I get a new TV haha.
For 3 there was auto aim but it was a bit fiddly tbh. I wouldn't rush to play it again but it was nice for nostalgia and to actually finish it. I found the story a bit all over the place too and the radio stations were very repetitive. I hope they managed to keep more of the original songs from vice city but I guess song rights have changed hands or there's legalities involved. We shall see!

Has anyone ever changed their Xbox to a different region to get into games earlier?

Legacy releases tomorrow at midnight at local region, being UK means am 13h behind new Zealand, wondering if I can change the Xbox to new Zealand an get it when it goes live there

Would this screw the game up if it works?

I'm not sure - potentially might not work if it still has a network connection?

I'm *this* close to buying it. Currently watching a live stream and it looks INSANE.

I ended up going for it an trying it

Turns out it does work, an I was able to play when it turned midnight in new Zealand so I've been playing for a hour an half now

I'll change it back before midnight here just incase there's any problems further down the line of the xbox thinking it's in new Zealand

Amazing! Enjoy :)

I've just hit the button and got it for PC so will jump on and get it downloaded later ready to play at midnight. Really try and stay away from pre-ordering games based on past experiences (cough Cyberpunk 2077) and seeing the PC version does have some performance issues but the reviews and gameplay footage look good enough to risk it.

Quoting myself as now seen we don’t get access on PC until 6pm tomorrow. Which is absolutely pants. But at least when I’m in the office tomorrow all day I won’t feel like I’m missing out on some good gaming time now 😂

Ughhhh I'm really torn on buying it for PC but I'm only just squeaking over the minimum requirements. I don't fancy paying £15 more for the console version! I might buy it on Steam and refund it if the performance isn't that great.

Eeek tough choice! I’m sitting somewhere between the high/ultra requirements so hoping it will be ok although I have seen reviewers say it has some performance issues on pc. Hopefully ironed out in a patch once it’s launched though.
I’ve watched five hours of live stream for it today and can’t wait to play it. It was on pc and didn’t really notice any issues but the streamer has a 4090 gpu so I would hope it wouldn’t be having any issues 😂😂

It has some performance issues on console as well, quite a few hours in now an noticing little things like the doors not opening straight away an characters glitching a little bit, hoping they fix the game with a patch soon, other than that its running smoothly

I’m watching my partner play it and it’s killing me watching him play. I would have to download it on my own PS5 as I don’t think you can share downloads in the same house on different consoles.

Oooh not sure on that one sorry. I think you could on ps4 and if you had two accounts logged in you could play whatever games are installed on the console from either account. I don’t have a ps5 though so not sure if it’s different.
We share our Xbox gamepass account across two PCs and can play the gamepass games on the account without the subscription which is great but we only have one Steam account between us and can’t both play on steam at the same time which is crazy annoying!

it’s also now 7pm and steam still hasn’t let me install Hogwarts Legacy. Boooooo.

He’s had to go out now, he said you can have more than one save and he’s played games on my PS5 using his account but I’m not sure how he did it and I’m too lazy to google, he’s also not sure if we can both play at the same time.

Oh no! I hope you can install soon.

You just need to set up a new profile on his console and link it to your psn account and you should be able to play it on your own save ☺ I’m sure I read that other people play the same game on two consoles at once so definitely worth a try setting it up on yours when he’s home.

I’ve got to go out now too so hoping it’s all resolved when I get home 🤞🏼

Ah great thanks

Sadly submitted my Steam refund there after an hour, it was like playing a potato print :ROFLMAO: I'll get it on Xbox instead!
Aw no that’s a shame. Mine is running really great - not having any performance issues like reported in some reviews. I get a pop up saying the settings are too high for my system if I try and run it in high or above but I’ve managed to get a good solid 60fps on ultra so long as I’m inside and ray tracing is off. We put ray tracing on for a test and it was about 6fps even on low 😂😂

Hope you get the refund ok and that Xbox works out better for you.

How have I only just noticed this thread?! I'm not much of a gamer currently, so all of my memories are from 1990s games. My favourite as a kid was Spyro (the first three) and Rayman (so hard!). Tomb Raider 2 + 3 as well. I'm sure everyone remembers locking the butler in the freezer. 😆 And of course The Sims. Those Sim people were more trouble than they were worth. You'd leave them for one minute and they'd wet themselves, set the kitchen on fire and then gophers would invade their cabbage patch.
