I am very tempted ! I actually got my Xbox 360 out and played guitar hero the other weekend and had a blast. Started looking up how to play guitar hero on ps5 and there wasn't really an easy way to do it ( you need a specific guitar with a dongle or something which is quite hard to find) and then lo and behold a couple of weeks later stage tour gets announced! I think it will be quite expensive though

Funnily enough, I was playing Rock Band 4 a little while back. I bought so many downloadable songs for that!

You can allegedly use older guitar controllers with the new game but I doubt that is easy.
Then you're looking at £120 for the game and guitar... and then drums...

When it comes to xbox I usually jump in and buy a month. Play a few games and then cancel and come back a few months later and repeat the process. A shame to see them going this route of squeezing money out of people.

I find it disgraceful that they are even monetizing the performance now, the lower the tier you get the lower the performance specs you get, you need ultimate to get the highest graphic quality

I used to really like Xbox, it was my first console an I had game pass for years, but they have made all of this so hard to support an stand up for now, I just can't justify what they are doing, an even if they backtrack now an come down in price, who's to say in a years time they won't go right back up

They are even talking about a small version that's free but they are only offering 5 hours per month of game allowance plus it will have ads, I just can't support them now

I had pretty much a full catalogue plus all the festival an holiday diys

On the plus I do have those amibo disk things I got off Etsy years ago so I'll at least get my favourite villagers again, my starter ones this time was moose an pashmino so those two are getting ditched asap

I have all the dog villagers on mine & just can't do it I really hope they either release a whole new game or give us some bad ass updates for ACNH

I'd like new islands added to build up from scratch and I'd also appreciate a villager finder cos those lil suckers are murder to find when they go missing

Exactly how we feel. Excited to see some gameplay and I’m sure Gameranx will have a Before You Buy video up too which we always watch for new games.

After cyberpunk I've always waited for gameplay now just to make sure, I got pokopia almost a week after realise as well, games are getting too expensive now for me to go through another cyberpunk

Was hoping they’d announce Hogwarts Legacy 2 at the Playststion show today. Nothing.
Can’t wait for them to not announce Animal Crossing next week.

It’s not confirmed but possibly. Normally animal crossings don’t share a console but I think we will see a new one switch 2 only. But I also don’t think we will see it till 2028 at the earliest. Would love to be wrong.

I think the same, it’s probably going to be a few more years until the next Animal Crossing is released. They only released the switch 2 version of new horizons this year, plus the AC dev team was busy working on Splatoon Raiders.

Speaking of special editions, I wish they’d made a ditto-themed switch 2 for Pokopia. I definitely would’ve caved and bought one!

I wonder if they might announce a Zelda special edition in tomorrow’s direct?

Not review site but we love Gameranx on YouTube for game content. They do great list videos but also do a “before you buy” series which we always watch when we are considering getting new games.

Has anyone else played Cairn? I played it last week and was obsessed with it for a good few days. Gorgeous art style and the climbing mechanics were really clever. I found it so engaging.

I love Gameranx! I also follow a YouTuber called Pixel Dragon and he does similar style videos that are great too. Have added alot of games to my to play list from his videos

I've seen rumours that here is work being done on a new Batman Arkham game.
I hope that's true; those games were brilliant (although Arkham Knight, I can give or take, tbh).

So I've started on the Hitman trilogy. Really enjoying it and it's a lot of fun. Only complaint is for some of the challenges it's not at all clear how you're meant to do them or it's not something you'd stumble across naturally so I've had to cheat for some of them.

Anyone playing Manor Lords? My other half is in to it and I enjoyed watching him play to started up a game. It's still in early access so doesn't have all features turned on yet but it's fun! City building medieval style! It lulls you in to a nice false sense of security when one winter you have enough supplies for 10 months and then the next all your villagers are starving and freezing in their homes and bandits keep stealing all your stuff

Apparently their cancellation page crashed due to high traffic when it was announced

I seen that lol, pretty glad I cancelled last month so it was done before this, wondering if they will back track on it or stick with it

The gaming industry is already burning that this really didn't help them

That's really cool, didn't realise they were doing a PS release, fingers crossed for a switch release then because they way PS is going I don't think they will live to January at this rate

As someone with a ps5, it pains me to say it but I agree!

I will never forgive the makers of RDR2 for breaking my heart at the last fight with Arthur. If I had known what was going to happen I’d’ve swapped my horse before starting it. It literally took me about an hour to stop crying about my horse, and I’m still not over it…

Aw! That just shows how good the game is we get that invested in it! It took me ages to 100% the game and saw so many little details and interactions which were just incredible to think majority of people wouldn't experience

The first two I don't really trust review wise and there's always rumblings of "inducements" review score wise. I dunno about that but I do agree with a poster on there who said "9 is the new 7" score wise.

Kotaku seems a bit better with articles worth a read IMO.

I've not changed sites out of idleness and force of habit so if anyone has any other site recommendations I'll give them a try.
