Am assuming you mean GTA? About coming out, honestly am hoping it does but it does feel every game that gets announced gets close to it's date then it gets push back after push back, so far all I've heard is they still believe that it will be ready for autumn but I guess anything will happen

The switch seems pretty certain it's coming soon, if not in a few weeks then it's definitely before Xmas

An now according to rumours the next Xbox is in the works, Xbox prime, not sure if prime is code or not, personally hope it is because I don't know if I like that name seems a bit weird, the Xbox prime, according to rumours it's a 2026 release but I take that with a pinch of salt

Sorry, yes; I meant GTA 6.
Then, I'm not sure I'm all that keen to play it online; I'll play the campaign (for want of a better expression) stuff for sure.
But GTA Online is chaotic right now so I might just stick to the single player stuff.

As for Xbox Prime, that's a dreadful title and brings up either Amazon or that dreadful energy drink...

But if am being honest, I really can't tell difference in graphics between the X, PS an pc I don't know if maybe it's my eyes or what but they all literally look the same to me, they all load just as quickly as one another as well, I haven't found any difference, the only thing I'd say is I can mod on pc which I can't on the consoles an pc obvs has more choice an that's been the only difference, am playing all the latest games an if someone had loaded a game without telling me the platform I'd struggle to guess between the consoles an pc

It very much depends on the individual hardware. There are a couple of great Youtube channels out there that do comparisons of the same games on different set ups - PS5/4, Xbox X/S, PC with different graphics cards, and there is definitely a difference. Same with load times. We watch A LOT of gaming and PC building channels in our house

We have two custom built gaming PCs and I can tell which one is on the screen based on what the game quality looks like as one PC is slightly higher spec than the other. Both can play next-gen games with no issues, but mine gets best performance on "high" settings whereas my other half has a better GPU and CPU in his and can run games in ultra mode with ray tracing so it does look a lot sharper.

We have future-proofed both our PCs and are unlikely at this point to need to upgrade any hardware for a good few years now. Yes it has been an expensive process so far (bought one PC, upgraded bits over the course of a year and a half and then used the original components to build the second one which has now also been upgraded slightly) but it's been worth it. I don't think we would ever go back to console gaming - although I do also have a switch!

It’s not confirmed but possibly. Normally animal crossings don’t share a console but I think we will see a new one switch 2 only. But I also don’t think we will see it till 2028 at the earliest. Would love to be wrong.

Crash definitely got harder with the remaster, to the point it wasn't fun to play and I just gave up.

We've just bought Diablo IV for PS4 and enjoying it.. though there's a dungeon boss we just cannot seem to get anywhere near killing and it's pissing me off

Has anyone gotten a preorder for GTA6 or the switch 2, curious to know if the pre orders are out for these now that we are in 2025, according to rumours, switch 2 is April/may release an GTA October/November

It's only worth preordering if there are offers with it; I haven't seen anything yet. I'm still going to be surprised if it does come out this year.

I would recommend Mario Odyssey or Mario Wonder for the multi-player if you’re looking for Switch games!

There’s a huuuuge list of different Mario spin-off games too, Mario Kart is always good fun even if you’re playing on your own!

It’s probably best to take a look on YouTube to get a feel for the gameplay and see which one you’d like most.

If you have Nintendo Online, you can play lots of the older, classic Mario games on there. One of my favourite games of all time is Yoshi’s Island

The good thing about Nintendo games is they hold their value, so you can resell them on eBay and get most of your money back. I hope that helps!

Thanks, I'll check those out, I might try some of the ones on the membership first, it just seems like Mario is the main nintendo game an the one that they are always doing so figured I might try an see what it's like but with so many out there it's hard to know what ones are better than others

It's such a great game!

It's been years since I last played an have really enjoyed it tonight, I did spend time debating if I should keep my island or not but honestly kindi glad I reset it now, it's been fun collecting things for the first time again

Superheroes, quick time events, strategy and a great plot? Loving it.

TR3 is still my favourite. Just something about those first 3 games.

The modern Tomb Raider games are too close to Uncharted for my liking (considering that was, in turn, based on Tomb Raider it's ironic, don't you think?).

Valve have said there won't be a Steam Deck 2 for at least 2 years as the chips and stuff they want to use are ready / available yet.

The 1TB Steam Deck has some kind of slightly different screen which is supposed to reduce reflections yet its reported to be a bit less vibrant than the 512GB version (I have this one, the screen is great). I bought a 512GB micro SD card. You could buy bigger too but obviously it'll cost more. Whichever Steam Deck you get you'd enjoy though.

Internet works great, the WiFi is upgraded from the previous machine apparently.

I run Game Pass on mine and can stream games - it works surprisingly well! All Internet connection dependant of course, but my connection isn't great by any means yet this works for me. There's a little bit of fiddling round to set it up but there's official instructions from Microsoft and lots of YouTube videos. It's a 5 minute thing to get it going but you have to type in things very carefully. We'll worth it though.

I don't know anything about PlayStation tbh, sorry.

They're surprisingly wide but not heavy I don't think.

Thanks, ahh I did not realise the steam deck was like a 1/2/3 type of thing, I guess I was thinking it was more like phones where you get one out then there's like a b/c/d version of the same thing if that makes sense, so am guessing what's out is like steam deck 1 then an then there will be a 2 eventually

Good to know game pass runs on it, an there's also tutorials for to get it working

I'll definitely look into it now, might go for a smaller size an just get a SD if needed

lol i found it so hard too!! im playing it at the minute on my PS5 and was thinking to myself how did i used to play this when i was a kid, i dont know how many times over the last week ive rage quit everytime i die

I used to try an watch some yt channels but since they all mostly focused on pc an I didnt have one at the time then I stopped so I'll check her channel out an see whats coming out

i would definitely recommend Spiritfayar, it’s not “farming” but it still has some farming aspects and very much a cosy game, i love sitting at the end of the night playing it.

I am very tempted ! I actually got my Xbox 360 out and played guitar hero the other weekend and had a blast. Started looking up how to play guitar hero on ps5 and there wasn't really an easy way to do it ( you need a specific guitar with a dongle or something which is quite hard to find) and then lo and behold a couple of weeks later stage tour gets announced! I think it will be quite expensive though

Funnily enough, I was playing Rock Band 4 a little while back. I bought so many downloadable songs for that!

You can allegedly use older guitar controllers with the new game but I doubt that is easy.
Then you're looking at £120 for the game and guitar... and then drums...

When it comes to xbox I usually jump in and buy a month. Play a few games and then cancel and come back a few months later and repeat the process. A shame to see them going this route of squeezing money out of people.

I find it disgraceful that they are even monetizing the performance now, the lower the tier you get the lower the performance specs you get, you need ultimate to get the highest graphic quality

I used to really like Xbox, it was my first console an I had game pass for years, but they have made all of this so hard to support an stand up for now, I just can't justify what they are doing, an even if they backtrack now an come down in price, who's to say in a years time they won't go right back up

They are even talking about a small version that's free but they are only offering 5 hours per month of game allowance plus it will have ads, I just can't support them now

I had pretty much a full catalogue plus all the festival an holiday diys

On the plus I do have those amibo disk things I got off Etsy years ago so I'll at least get my favourite villagers again, my starter ones this time was moose an pashmino so those two are getting ditched asap

I have all the dog villagers on mine & just can't do it I really hope they either release a whole new game or give us some bad ass updates for ACNH

I'd like new islands added to build up from scratch and I'd also appreciate a villager finder cos those lil suckers are murder to find when they go missing

Exactly how we feel. Excited to see some gameplay and I’m sure Gameranx will have a Before You Buy video up too which we always watch for new games.

After cyberpunk I've always waited for gameplay now just to make sure, I got pokopia almost a week after realise as well, games are getting too expensive now for me to go through another cyberpunk
