I'd like more games with decent single player campaigns and good professional and engaging writing/story telling.
I realise I'm in the minority with not liking MP though.
I think that the focus on MP is killing creativity and innovation for well crafted SP games though.
It vexes me when the SP campaign is just an adjunct for learning the MP.

I'd like a passable/credible COD installment this year too rather than just another cash grab. The last one was piss poor and the one before barely adequate.IMO.

I could go for a new decent Resident Evil installment too.
"Resident evil:the village" gave me the fear.

I found the spryo trilogy not too bad - although the first game was a bit tricky - but I ended up rage quitting the crash bandicoot remake after a seemingly impossible level and had the same thought about it being a kids game

It actually was harder. I saw a games developer saying that moving the game over to the latest platform but with essentially the controls of the old game meant the whole thing was out of sync and why so many found it impossible. People played the PS1 game to compare to see if it was the same and the PS1 was a lot easier.

I really want to get back into The Sims but haven't kept up with all the stuff/expansion/game packs there is too many

I love the Sims, I wouldn't worry about the packs so much, I have almost all of the expansions an game packs an never really use them all as much as I thought I would have, there's honestly too many to get the full benefit out every single one of them, I'd go for just a handful that changes the base game like the toddler one as it completely changed baby's/toddlers an you can do so much more, then maybe the school pack if you are interested in playing as a teen an going to school an maybe the work one if you want to go into work with your Sims but there's only I think 5 jobs that allows it

I would like to start playing video games again. The last console I had was ps3. I may wait until new years before deciding if I'll buy a console. I want to play Witcher 4, but the release date for that may not be until 2028.

I'm hoping the upcoming Star Wars game, Eclipse, will be released by then as well, but that game and the studio behind it seem to be very vague on what's going on with that. There are many staff members being laid off it seems, so I've no idea, but so much of the game has already been completed, apparently.

Not to turn this into a whole PC master race shite thing, but just buy a PC. It's cheaper, you'll get more use, more games to play etc. It can be upgraded in 5-8 years time depending on what you put in it. It is ultimately better. Yes it takes up room and you can't lob it in your car & bring it round your mates etc but if you're considering gaming again I recommend a pc over console.

Also hard swerve on gta6, their build up has been a let down. I haven't seen a single reveal beyond their adverts but I just wasn't impressed with 5. I played more vice city in the last few years than I have 5

I do wish that Rockstar would merge locations in a GTA game rather than focus on one location. Maybe even create a new location or more. I'm really eager to see the next Red Dead Redemption, but it's going to be ages until we see that.

Did any of you play Grounded? The sequel is apparently out for early review testing soon.

Tbh, as we're talking videogames, I'm looking forward to the new Fable whenever it finally comes out... I'm hoping for 2026 but am not holding my breath!

If anyone is interested, the pre-load of Crimson Desert comes out tonight around 10pm, and the game itself is released at the same time on Thursday!

Going wait an see how it is first, they put denuvo into it so I want to see some gameplay before I decide

Many games have taught me now it's not really worth pre ordering anymore

As others have said, the benefit of pre-ordering digitally is that it should be ready to play on launch, right there on your console/PC.
The other benefit is that pre-orders often come with bonus content.

Oh right, yeah I did think maybe when pre-ordering you must get extra content. I'm so out of the loop on gaming. I'm trying to get back upto speed with it all, lol.

Who else is looking forward to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth?

I was trying my best not to pre-order as I have too much else to play (I’m a very very slow gamer) but I downloaded the demo yesterday and now I don’t think I can wait!

I’ve never spent £55 on one game before, but I got Remake for free on PS+.. so it evens out I guess?

I never know what's coming out so it came as a pleasant surprise seeing the reviews.
They're solid, well put together games IMO.
The only ones I wasn't overly keen/struggled with were RE6 and the one set in the American deep south/swamps (forget the number). I think the claustrophobic setting got to me TBH.
I rated RE:The village though. Thought it was atmospheric. The bit with the baby thing in the house gave me the horrors.

I wasn’t a big fan of 6 but I love Requiem. The atmosphere is fantastic. Capcom have did a great job!

If you are in the UK then Smyths has it cheaper than the Nintendo store an you can get the game code sent directly to your email, it's not much a saving but still something

I'd imagine this year will be the last year for any prev gen console games since this gen is now coming up 4years old this year, I wouldn't be surprised to see most studios stopping with producing Xbox one an PS4 games

I'm currently playing Baldur's Gate 3, which is not my usual type of game at all. It took me a while to get into it, and to be honest if it wasn't for the fact that my friend kept telling me how much they loved it, I probably wouldn't have bothered. I am enjoying it though, which surprised me. I've never played D&D and don't know anything about it.

It is a long game though, I feel like I've been playing it for months.

my partners favourite game is Baldurs and I really enjoyed it. Not my usual type of game and know nothing about D&D either but have put quite a few hours into it now

Does anyone watch gamers on Twitch or YouTube?

I've been watching a lot of indie horror games and there are a few that are especially creepy. Chilla's Art games and the Fears to Fathom series really make me glad I'm watching someone else play. I'd be hiding.

I just got an MSI to replace my old MSI. The old one run both Sims 4 and Planet Zoo. I haven’t tried Planet Zoo on the new one but it handles Sims 4 and Baldurs Gate 3. It was less than £1,000 from AO.
