I have a vegetarian partner and over time (10 years) I've become more that way. I now don't cook meat at home anymore but will order it when out if I fancy some. The way I currently eat now for health reasons ( cholesterol) 99% of the time is 'vegan with oily fish' which isn't worth discussing with anyone and I'll eat with those parameters in mind when out IF I can, otherwise I'll deviate back into a bit of dairy or red meat if unavoidable while dining out. These days it's so easy to make other choices. That might change . It's a fluid thing and no label is possible. I assume many others are doing similar. I know lots of true vegans who take the moral stance and that's different to what I'm doing. My partner is nearly 30 years vegetarian but not a label reader so if you're being picky even he isn't truly so. He will be buying the odd thing with an animal ingredient (chips in animal fat - he never asks) sour cream etc. Rennet in cheeses.

hey. I made an account just to chat here because I'm also very concerned. I used to follow miles back when he was in a relationship with emma laird (fellow youtuber). I unfollowed him a while ago because his vegan lifestyle is very unattainable, as he eats huge amounts of expensive food etc.

but now the real problem. I've started following jil and noticed that she was very anti biotics, talking about how they were poisonous etc.

a few months later miles had a stomach ulcer and literally felt the need to talk about his decision to take this life saving medicine (antibiotics), probably because of jil. I remember him being in immense pain and them not going to see a doctor til last minute. he could have died.

now I just had a look back at jils instagram and I was shocked at what I found. at least half of her community are holistic anti vaxxers as well who think the pandemic was planned because the government sensed that people were becoming too 'conscious'.

she literally thinks that the vaccine connects us to the 5g network and spreads other misinformation that can easily be debunked, like the claim that the pcr tests cannot differentiate between covid and the regular flu.

I feel sorry for miles friends, I believe jil and his bond is very strong and therefore there isn't a lot that they can do. but omg, miles used to be a clinical dietician, I really don't get the pipeline from trusting medicine to thinking there's an evil plan behind all of it.

Im sure they have a super intimate relationship, but I would like miles to keep his no bullshit attitude and not bow down to "alternative truths" just because he is in love. that's not healthy crazy cool :/

I've followed both Miles and Emma (before she disappeared) and had no idea they were ever going out. When was this?

Tim sheiff no longer being vegan was huge drama. He clearly went mental fasting and drinking his own pee. The amount of hatred and backlash he got for deciding not to be vegan anymore was shocking.
Joey Carbstrong freaks me out too. he doesn’t blink!
Another that gets on my tits is Hench herbivore. A man who is clearly using steroids pretending he is doing it all by being vegan. Conman.
joey Carbstrong is as dodgy as... Agree about HH. He looks absolutely awful. His face looks like it’s melting🤣

just hopping in here to do a quick straw poll after a comment in another thread. someone claimed that a lot of vegans still cook meat and have it in their fridge..

Anyone?!!!!!

I’ve had a glance at some of the vegan ‘activist’ channels. Fucking hell! Some real psychos on there. Has anyone watched Joey Carbstrong? Ex crim and now a vegan evangelist? He’s creepy as fuck!

This is super random but I need someone to watch on Tuesdays. Do you have any recommendations on people who post on Tuesdays lol? :D Especially vegans or ex vegans or some vlogs or some drama!

Yeah I stopped following unnatural vegan a while ago because yikes.

Also those vegan guys, the go fund me was to buy a drone? Are they serious! I can’t believe anyone would donate to that.
when did the unnatural vegan thing happen? so disappointing as she seemed very sensible

I watched his latest video against my better judgement. I think Miles is developing some kind of God complex. No one is good enough for him. Except Jil (obvs).

Maybe someone would see their GP to get a referral to a registered dietician? People probably aren't expecting a GP to give nutritional advice but people generally need a referral to see specialists.

On the online coaching thing, he's clearly bought Jil's bullshit and they're both loving it. He's essentially criticising himself there. I've been waiting for him to realise this for months and he just seems to be getting worse.
I wonder if he's still friends with Nutty Foodie Fitness

Well, thank you for recommending her to me. She's really lovely and just so down to earth and realistic and not super fuzzy, not just eating spinach and kale smoothies and I love that. She seems like such a cool woman and she's very pretty as well. From what I have seen her boyfriend is really nice as well. Seriously thank you for recommending her to me, really good addition to my vegan youtubers list!

Any other recommendations? Or other people we want to talk about?
I like Jess Beautician, Pick Up Limes, and Good Eatings for recipes. No drama, just well-filmed, quality food content and delicious, realistic recipes. I like Cheap Lazy Vegan, Mina Rome, Melis Ustun, and Waffles with Leila for down-to-earth, realistic vlogs and recipes too.

A diet low in fat and protein sounds like basic malnutrition to me.

As for shredding off the last bits of fat, women need a healthy body fat percentage to maintain and regulate oestrogen, not to mention the pear shape is the healthiest way for the body to store fat.
I think Jil just wanted to be thin. She worked as a model for a while, so maybe some of the pressure came from that. She actually didn't get her period for many years but, apparently, it came back at some point.

Oh gosh another eating what I can find in my kitchen video sponsored by Thrive Market from Emily Ewing. I know it comes across as very parasocial of me but I'm getting really worried.

But still... if you are struggling,,, paper towels? omega 3 for your DOG?
also i wish she would stop using that stupid tiktok? meme with the irritating woman saying wah tuh..
