She’s moved back to London and wants to finish her PhD in 4 months… how good can it actually be if she’s rushing it so much
I feel like you were on to something in August! Maybe we'll get the video before the end of the year 😂 It's surprising to me that she's only just finishing her interviews for the dissertation too. Surely that should have been done a while ago...

It's weird that she includes her honorary degree from Bradford with the others when talking about nearly having 4 degrees on IG. It's quite misleading.

I thought this was supposed to last her a few years and she wanted to live in America etc etc. I unfollowed her a while back so thankfully haven't seen her smug BS for ages. Will take a peek at her Instagram for a quick catch up :ROFLMAO:

I don't follow her either but it always seems a few months pass and she's been given another 10 awards from some organisation nobody's heard of, put more Boeing CO2 into the atmosphere and reminding everyone how she 'can't believe her life'. Also... that poor guy she's friendzoned for years and still uses in her content for clicks, I wanna know what's going on there 😂

They’re usually 4 in the UK. Unless the US one she was doing is different

Yeah US PhDs are normally longer, but hers for whatever reason is shorter. Not quite sure why it differs. The website says 4 years: https://www.cgu.edu/academics/program/phd-education/

In the US they usually are longer, but your first two years are basically a masters so if you have a masters from somewhere else that fills in all the requirements you can kind of skip past the first two years.

You might still be there for a long time if you’re doing a STEM degree since you usually need to run experiments. But for liberal arts degrees you can probably get it done a bit more quickly if you have a requirement- fulfilling masters, which Vee probably does?

I’m assuming Kaelyn started doing hers part time while working, which you can usually do with a liberal arts-type PhD, but it does mean it takes longer.

so she announced she's having a graduation party the size of a wedding (200 guests). even so, she's been doing cake tests to choose the best one for this event. according to her, 'we must all be outrageous in how we celebrate young women's academic achievements especially in a world where in some countries it is still a crime to send girls to school!' ok, but, that wasn't her experience? i mean, it would make so much sense to see malala do something like that, but not her? i don't want to diminish vee's achievements but, ESPECIALLY in a world where other girls are not able to study, having a 200 guests-sized graduation party seems extremely tone deaf and obnoxious

i'm sorry but every time i check her instagram profile, it's just a repetition of her academic accomplishments. has she put her Oxford and Harvard titles to good use, tho?

there's a reel in her IG account, listing all of her accomplishments this year so far, and most of them are "i was invited to...", "i gave a speech at...", "i got invited to..." "i got flown out to...", "i interviewed..." I mean the people who are flown to these festivals and congresses, have incredible careers in their fields (either politics, education...) and they get invited to speak in the capacity of experts in such field. but what is actually her career? what has she accomplished in the field of education? she doesn't realise that she's not going in the capacity of expert, but in the capacity of influencer. let's not forget she got a job at a non-profit organisation (one young world) where she could have made a positive contribution in the world of education, but she quit because she wanted to pursue this path instead, much more profitable $$$, yes, but with no real changes in the world

Hasn't she already had multiple parties and celebrations for it? She finished it almost half a year ago.

I just can't relate to someone who needs this much attention or praise to feel validated and loved.

I’m so confused, does she have another account where she fundraises, brings light to, and spotlights the issues she’s purporting to help? What has she actually done to help girls’ education?

Briefly she had a thing where she mentored young women but im not sure what exactly the mentoring entailed. I think in the age of social media people are forgetting that activism is a verb and is more than just meeting with other privileged people to talk about an issue and have a photo op.

Grad gifts. They're common but Vee is already wealthy so it's very tone deaf
