Attached some. Can’t believe she’s actually put Dr in front of her name…the audacity
Thank you.

Also just saw this.

Are you telling me she actually carried her Oxford and Harvard certs in glass photo frames so that she could pose with all 3 at once in the street?! She goes overboard all the time. Plus the DR balloons... Babe, you didn't earn this honorary doctorate!

Her Oxford and Harvard ones, sure, but she still hasn't really done any actual work in education herself! She gets invited to talks and wins awards because she has PR management doing the networking for her. Out there are probably 100s of people her age actually improving girls' education without any fanfare or help. All we ever see her do is turn up in Shein power suits and dancing and looking smug. Honestly she needs to take a look at her peers who are actually doing the work and learn some humility. I understand she had a hard start on life but she really doesn't need to repost the 'my sixth form tutor said I'd never get into Oxford but look at me now' story every other week.

I should unfollow her but it's like watching a spectacle and I love people watching 😅

What's the betting she tries to get 'Dr' added to her passport before she actually earns the title? 🤷‍♀️🤔

No humility, no class, just stuck up her own ass

She also only got into Oxford via the foundation route… didn’t have the academics to actually get a place like everyone else.

To be fair, it’s really good and fair that that route exists. It gives a chance to gifted students who have less resources and therefor a very small chance to have the same academic achievements at that point in there life. Like it’s far easier to get good marks if the only thing u have to worry about are your marks. If students experience food scarcity or any other stress the marks drop significantly. A way to even the playing field is good and I think it’s not fair to criticize students for having to take that route.

She's added her fake doctor title to everything faster than I added my actual Dr title to anything...cringe

I mean, Bradford has its strengths but I’m struggling to understand what Vee’s link to them is? Normally an honorary degree is given to someone with a link to the area or a strong link to the institution’s particular speciality. I doubt Vee’s ever set foot in Bradford before today and I can think of other young women with more links to Bradford’s particular specialties - link Malala Yousafzai, for example.
I reckon she had someone nominate her, https://www.bradford.ac.uk/about/le...ernance/committees/honorary-awards-committee/

Could even have been Malala tbh lol.

I agree, the even playing field is fine, in my view. It's more her egotistical and repeated bragging on Instagram every 5 mins and constant balloons that gets me. She's all hot air and no action.

Her post made it to the LinkedIn Lunatics subreddit. It’s just a bit cringe really isn’t it.
Imagine how overboard she’ll go when she completes her PhD

I’d go for if, rather than when
Same, she wanted the title not the PhD, I'd be unsurprised if we get a post soon like 'guysssss I got a work opportunity that was too good to turn down so I'm leaving the PhD programme'

I think so too. She barely posts about her PhD programme or life in California so I don't think she enjoys it that much. Most of her posts are her trips or London.

Which is funny because most of us doing a PhD don’t do it for the Doctor title, but because of the knowledge and academic path that come with it. I’m still completing mine, but a work mate of mine defended his thesis last Spring and, when being addressed as “Doctor” for the first few times, he kind of waved it off because it was just a title.

I know this is witch eating crackers but why does every trip necessitate a photo shoot outside the airport with her cases and passport 😵💫😵💫

I keep getting her instagram posts recommended to me and they're exhausting. You can be proud of your achievements but her bragging is blatant tbh

forgive me if you've already been over this cos I'm just catching up on the thread but how did she do a two year Harvard masters in eight months with no dissertation? I can't find any info about her specific masters (international education policy) on their website, all the links are dead.

also as an mbbs doctor in the uk I'm grumpy about her using the title lmao mine isn't even on my work name badge

I don't get It. Why Is she saying that she is a doctor?
Bradford Uni gave her an honorary doctorate. Most people who get given one of those don't then go swanning around calling themselves a Doctor because they recognise they have not earnt it (Unlike, for example, a PhD or Medical Doctor)

But Vee isn't most people ;)

It was only a one year Masters. I think it also doesn't run anymore, which is why the links don't work! But you can see them on the wayback machine. https://web.archive.org/web/20200824143108/https://www.gse.harvard.edu/masters/iep
