Yeah but manifest in your diary, doing this online to tens of thousands of people is just incredibly misleading. Also think about which audience sees what - her instagram audience is likely a lot of younger people, and her linkedin audience is professionals who she wants to be hired by. She's purposely misleading them.Maybe she's ✨️manifesting✨️ an acceptance? Write it on LinkedIn so it will come true??
For someone mid-20s and supposedly professional her long self congratulatory captions like this scream "praise meeeeee", so unprofessional. What she could have posted is a smiley pose and a simple few lines to say she is pleased to be living out her dream in California and looks forward to studying. Instead, what her fans see is a long humble brag about how she's funded, how amazing she is, how proud her family are, and (in capital letters) how she definitely (is not) over NYU rejection.this is so over the top that I'm convinced she hates every second of it lmao. did she write this while on c0ke or something
whats she doing with all her degrees though? what happened to her being passionate about girls' education in Zimbabwe? So Vee has been accepted into a PhD program, according to her latest vlog. But she is in such a dilemma. She’s going to tell us all about it in the next video. Then people can give her advice when she’s already made a decision.
She also mentioned planning to move out of her London apartment. Is rent becoming too much? Lol
At this point I think Vee is obsessed with celebration balloonsIf she wants instagram photos, she can just get a cake or something and dress up holding her diploma
yessss!! i think she also realized that “fixing” girls education actually takes work and dedication. it also just seems so performative. like social mobility (which i think is her end goal) is enacted through grassroots, community run organizations and policies NOT through listening to social media influencers speak about their educational experiences? dunno, just all seems so superficial and disingenuous.exactly what I thought! She’s so full of herself now she doesn’t realize how superficial she looks. Fighting for girls education is not about selling books nor sharing ADs about some weird platform. Nor bragging about how lucky you were EVERY TIME. She just sounds so fake now, I don’t buy any of that.
It's fairly obvious that she did. She went to LMH(?) on some kind of additional year/access programme and then applied for a course at Oxford that she seemed to have no real interest in but which has historically lower applications and higher acceptance rates. She likes to say 'Oxford and Harvard' but there are other institutions that have bigger reputations in Education, but that aren't the kind of name that Vee wants. In all fairness, she's done a fantastic job in using the system to get where she wants (and fair play to her) but it's sad that she's going for prestige rather than a genuine interest in her field. I think she might struggle once she realises she can't do a PhD in Vee.Does she even enjoy education? Or does she just enjoy the prestige of the institutions she’s attended and the letters after her name?
Convinced she chose her undergrad for the college, not the degree subject itself
Exactly. I'm all for people being self-motivated and acknowledging their successes, but Vee has a caption like this every week, she keeps talking about making her daddy proud, her mummy proud and she keeps using CAPS LOCKS to emphasise words about how shocked and surprised she is, about how excited she is etc. Does she not realise she sounds far from humble? Because in her head I think she thinks she is humble...but she comes off as a MASSIVE bragger. But I could almost forgive that if she had actually achieved something but so far she's an influencer who did essay crisis vlogs and had run a handful of events where she shares affirmations. But that's not teaching, that's not educating in the actual chaos of the education system. Going abroad to do a keynote speech is not actively participating in educational policy. It's all buzzwords and handclaps...that caption is out of this world.
this is so over the top that I'm convinced she hates every second of it lmao. did she write this while on c0ke or somethingI find it smug of her to emphasize / brag she is fully funded when we know she can afford to self fund whilst other hardworking students are struggling for funding. I think she wants the title and prestige of being funded but I don't think she actually wants to graft. She was lucky her essay crisis videos trended when they did. Ever since has been on MASSIVE ego trip. She doesn't strike me as genuine.
She didn't last long in her brief part time office job, so how is she going to cope doing PhD studies in an office with other students? She'll probably annoy her fellow students.
Oh, and I can't believe she actually put that she's glad NYU rejected her blah blah blah... Why mention them, focus on Claremont who do want you. I still can't believe she bought NYU merch last year
If she had behaved a bit less smug the past couple of years then I would be happy for her.

Thing is she could have waited for those opportunities, and she made this very clear in her video when she finished oxford but no she decided to commit to it online therefore she knew what she was signing up too, like fair enough if you were an undergrad who didn’t get a graduation but fuck melol the part near the end where she "cries" about not getting to be a cheerleader or walk around campus like god get a grip
I think so, someone also got her a 200,000 subscriber plaque. I'm all for women sharing their wins but it seems the balloons go up every week in Vee's houseIs it possible that family/friend got it for her?
