First time time poster in this thread.
She was sponsoring her YouTube and Instagram like mad because she came up on my feed despite me having nothing in common with her: I don’t live in Canada, I’m not married and no children and have never searched those things on YouTube or Instagram.
Anyway, she then appeared on dailymail about how everyone thinks she’s a teenager (side eye). Cool? Validation?
So I clicked and for someone that obsessed with their appearance her skin is...isn’t she only 34 or something? Damn. What happened between 26-34? Her complexion totally plummeted. Is that normal? She already had children when she was 26.

They must definitely be throwing money into advertising and showing up on any range of ages to get visibility. I liked her in the beginning but I am absolutely just over and disgusted with her. $200 sweatsuits for sale and on the same day of the launch she’s like byeee going to Costa Rica for a month or more because they allow anyone to come visit - who cares that we’re in the middle of a pandemic and people have no money etc. Yes, I get the tourism industry is in dire need of boosting but I think a few more months and we have vaccines coming out and getting back to some normalcy.

Ok this woman is popping up everywhere, I don't know what her (mega creepy) husband is doing as her CEO (seriously, that is creepy too) but buying up tons of keyword space is ridiculous. I just keep clicking "not interested." Did at one point watch a video of her and him talking about the difference in age and income and the whole thing seemed really, really, really, really ick.

I’m not a fan of Valeria and Gary, or their constant need to show off their wealth. But it’s a bit much saying that she’s abusing her children. I don’t know if you’re in the UK, but there’s been a big story about a little boy called Arthur who died after suffering the abuse from his dad and step-mum. So it’s not fair to call Valeria an abuser just because she vlogs with her children. Someone who abuses children is a sick individual, and it’s not a term that should be used lightly…

The kids have their own channels and at that age things should be fun. The way that their channels are promoted or that Gary mentions that they have to upload something does not allign with a hobby. I think the kids are loved and taken care off but were monitized even before they had their own channels.

Like @missmina said, there are different forms out there. They are not underfed or chained to a radiator but there is definitely some hardcore money making insentive instilled in them. Nothing wrong with that either but they way they are doing it just feels off.

Exactly I really don’t understand what Gary brings to the table. Sounds creepy too if he’s the one in contact with the brands. Something switched since they moved to Miami and I think she’s realised that she’s been duped into being the breadwinner. That marriage will not last. She’ll be just fine without him especially as they have a nanny. On the other hand, he would not be fine without her..

I'm pretty sure she rebranded to Verie because people found out some stuff about her brand Leia. Someone on another forum found out that she stole the designs from a local Toronto jewelry artist. Apparently she was supposed to do a collaboration with this designer but she and puppet master, Gerie, took the designs and made Leia instead. For some of her newer designs people found some exactly the same on AliExpress.

Oh my God, she's such a little scam artist. And those Leia pieces were hideously expensive as well!

I used to watch her around the time she was pregnant. I liked her style and her accent
Her children were cute on camera but not the main focus in vids.

However, ever since she started introducing them more, moved to the new house i stopped watching.
I also feel uncomfortable seeing how her husband is her boss and how much they show the kids.

In what way are they scammers?

They seem quite transparent about their lives. Gary made some shady choices in business in the past but as people have tried to explain, so do many people. No one is perfect.

They are influencers at the end of the day, their job is to curate a marketable image of themselves to sell us products. Ofc there are aspects of their lives they mask or fine tune for their audience. That's normal, everyone does that to some extent, some things should be private. As opposed to the regular influencer I think they do a decent job of maintaing a sense of integrity.

They are not shy about being ambitious and going after the income they desire. It has been explained that this could be a culture clash w some Westerners believing it to be impolite or vulgar to be open about making money. To me it just seems like they are dedicated to creating a good life for their family while working within the challenges of influencing.

I don't think these things make them scammers, they seem driven and not afraid to make money in the public eye

He had two companies, both scammed people and ran away with money. The last one was not longer than 2018.

I'm not saying that it's normal for the children to be constantly vlogged etc. But you have no proof to show she is abusing her children and i'm saying that it's a big claim to make. You can't just call people abusers because you don't like them. I don't like her but it's a bit too far to claim she is an abuser....

I don’t. Her hair has been ruined and now she needs someone to make it look descent. She used to have great natural hair.
