To be fair, with their student visas and moving around so much I question if they'd even be able to manage to get a job.
Oh to be fair i didn’t think of that. But still, the point stands in that they can afford to go to a uni knowing they won’t be able to work. Not many students are able to have that privilege

especially as (from Dinara's videos) it seems they also have lots of work over the summer to do, when students would often work full time

I cba to look into Minerva because honestly it just all sounds like bull, but do they get legitimate recognisable degrees at the end of it?

So Minerva isn't actually a university (they don't have the power to award degrees), so instead their degree is awarded by the Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Sciences, which is a private university that Minerva have a paid partnership with (hence "Minerva Schools at KGI"). But yes, they do actually get a degree. Whether or not it's recognisable is a different question (the Keck Graduate Institute is ranked 2032nd in the world according to 4icu, which, to give a UK comparison, ranks below Falmouth University at 2005th).

Edit: even Wikipedia describes Minerva Schools at KGI as a "university program" rather than a university/college.

yeh if I was an employer I would not find that convincing tbh, I think being in the first few years of a new uni is a big risk as it has no reputation and you are basically a guinea pig

I'm surprised they haven't edited that wiki page themselves tbh. "uni programme" is hardly a good ad

Her latest picture on Instagram, she asks if some dating apps are worth getting? If you want to do it just do it? Don’t ask for validation from your followers, when I was at uni one day we just set up tinder profiles and treated it a bit like a game to begin with so one really surprised she’s never thought about it before

This is the biggest sham ever. I can't believe these rich babies pay 6 figure fees to dip their toes into the "roughing it up". I also can't believe Jade, a girl I formerly thought as bright, is neck deep in this pseudo wellness route and can't see what a bull this program is from her corner of casual magic mist. Amazing.

Out of curiosity - how does Minerva at KGI compare with Open Uni? In terms of rankings, I mean. I don't care much for either institution tbh

LOL at Jade putting Minerva's (fake) acceptance rate on her CV that she linked in her newest video.

Also, it's rich of her to make a video about how to get an internship when the one she has is at Minerva? Try getting one in the real world and then maybe I'll listen to your advice... I personally will not be slipping into the LinkedIn DMs of total strangers because I'm not a silicon valley weirdo.

I was an academic for 5 years until recently and honestly reading this thread is literally the first I’ve ever heard of this university programme at all

Unfortunately neither are ranked in any of the same rankings (since the Keck Graduate Institute doesn't award undergraduate degrees, and the Open University doesn't really have a campus / physical facilities) but CWUR puts the Open University at 498th, which is roughly consistent across all other world league tables.

I'm a big fan of the Open University, actually. I think it's much cooler to be getting a degree later in life / alongside a job / balancing it with children than it is to pay thousands for a glorified gap year that gets you a Silicon Valley job through nepotism.

Her dad works for juice plus (one of the biggest shams ever) I can very much believe she’d be sucked into the minerva cult if that’s what she’s grown up around lol

I agree.

Open uni is much more than the Juice Plus version of university which is basically what Minerva is

I will point out that ime the OU treat their lecturers like tit. Not exclusive to them of course but there that is.

I have so much to say about her CV, but let's start off with this:

She did not get 3 A*s and 1 A at A level. That is a blatant lie, and she knows it.

And this is the most ridiculous way I've ever heard anyone describe DofE. 0.17% of students in whole UK per year! Don't know whether to laugh or cry.

What were her grades?
3 A*s at A level, 1 A at AS level.

Yes it's her CV; she's just redacted personal information (e.g. phone number, town, school, etc). She said in the video.
