Wouldn't it be interesting to see what she'd have been like today if she'd gone to a normal uni.

She's gonna get shock if the rates go up again and she had to come home or her family can't come visit again. At least Eve Bennett acknowledged in a video she was away and meant she couldn't go back much.
This. Genuinely used to like her but can’t stand how self-obsessed and egotistical she has become.
Constant indirect boasting about how privileged and wealthy she is.
She doesn’t realise there’s a difference between being confident and being a tone-deaf show-off.
I think part of it is that she’s secretly still really insecure about herself and therefore feels the need to put on this façade to show the world how great her life is and how informed she is on things. She thinks she’s this big inspirational being but in actuality she’s being fake a lot of the time. Not getting into Oxford and deciding to attend an overpriced online university that seems to tell its student how special and unique their experience is just exemplified it.

I don't find people who have don't the things she's done in life (such as interrailing, going to Australia, French intensive course, studying abroad) to be inspirational when their adventures have been funded by their parents
Her lifestyle is so inaccessible if people have to fund it themselves, she just comes across as smug
Or also if people have any obligations in life. Not everyone can just leave whenever they want for however they want.
Her new video was just her being a disorganised mess and boasting about her Dutch ability
I can't even bring myself to watch her anymore, her insta is bad enough. Soon enough I imagine she will be doing the same with either her German or Portuguese (or both)
or start work for an MLM.... I bet almost everyone at Minerva does business tbh
Minerva's HQ is also located on Market St in SF, where Twitter's office and other companies like that are. She's in it for the business it seems. She wants to make the $$$ and come across as this really inspirational person and make money off it. She was a lot more authentic back in the day - maybe because we see more of her life now, things are different...
Now, I think she's changed. She's not the Jade I looked up to anymore. She seems obsessed with business and brand deals, always marketing products. I bet she'll end up working for Minerva, seeing as her internship seemed to revolve around "analysing their instagram page". Students literally market this institution as part of their work-study agreement. Well the internship involves that, but the online presence like with her and Dinara are designed to market Minerva.
I've been following Dinara for a while now, and even she seems a lot more... normal. Like she seems real and not trying to be different. She doesn't put her uni in this amazing light all the time, while she doesn't bash it.

It basically is. Higher up people get students, students do work-study for financial aid which is basically just promoting the uni (who knows if Jade got financial aid, she came from a high-income earning family), they get students, same thing.
yeh Dinara seems much less "evangelical" about it... I don't get what she studies though, how can a degree be business and social sciences, social sciences is such a broad topic!
Years back I also really liked her because I study a STEM subject and she was one of the few studytubers interested in STEM. Sad to see that she changed her idea after all those videos about women in STEM ecc...
Do you know any other interesting STEM studytubers?
PaigeY kind of. She just graduated from astrophysics at Cambridge but is going (very smartly imo) into an actuarial grad role. She's the only study tuber who I can still stand and seems to have a decent head on her.
Rosie Crawford does some decent videos and she does some educational videos about archaeology! She's a little bit boring, but she does videos about her subject now and again and beyond that it's just the normal studytube type videos. She seems nice and normal and not buying into her own hype like a lot of studytubers.
