Any welsh girlies know what happens at your 12 week scan/appointment? I know they said to allow at least an hour for the appointment which doesn’t include the scan as I have to go to another department for that so will obviously be longer. Intrigued

You’d be better asking in the pregnancy thread…

i had mine on monday at 7dpo. i told the GP. and she says it has no effect and not to worry
I'm back! I voiced my concerns and she said it was completely up to me and didn't want to pressure me but I shouldn't be worried, so I had it done 😂

As much as I want a baby...2 babies in the space of a year sounds awful 🙈 sorry you're feeling down lovely, look after yourself 💕

I got a solid smiley on my clear blue today which means peak ovulation but still negative on my ovulation sticks 🤷🏻‍♀️ just gonna go with it and fingers crossed 🤞🏼 it’s our first month TTC so I’ll be totally honest I have no idea what I’m doing or what these tests mean lol

This happens to me, I usually get a peak the next day or the day after that sometimes. with the clearblue it indicates you ovulate in the next 36-48 hours rather than 24-36 hours giving you a bigger window

Out for this month, but it's maybe for the best as my due date would have been 1 week after I qualified for full maternity pay in my new job 😂 a bit too well planned... Well, on to another month.

Our friends want to go on holiday next year and are desperate to book. It’s so hard to think “we could have a 2 month old if I got pregnant this month, I could be heavily pregnant, I might not even be pregnant by then”. But not being able to express these thoughts to the group chat leaves for difficult decisions! Has anyone gone through similar?

Yes my husband's friend is getting married next year in June in Italy and we don't know if we'll be there, similar to you thinking oh we might have a 2 month old or be heavily pregnant. It's hard cos if you don't book it because things don't go to plan then you'll have really bad fomo but then it's also a lot of money to spend if you can't go for whatever reason.

I think with ours, if I'm not pregnant by the new year then we'll book it. It's really hard to do any long term planning for anything else! Is there any way you can book it after them and still join?

Im in the same boat, we’ve booked silverstone for next year and I’m thinking I could be pregnant or heavily pregnant or have a newborn or not even be pregnant or have a baby by then, the last year has shown me not to stop living your life for the what ifs because you just depress yourself more

I’m in the same boat too. We’re planning a big family holiday next year as it will be my parents first grandchild so everyone is coordinating. We’re limited to kids school holidays due to teachers in the family but I keep thinking what if I’m heavily pregnant or even worse, what if I’m still not pregnant.

I’m having a wine tonight 😂

Just book it! While I hope everyone’s TTC journeys are quicker than mine.. I’ve missed out on a few things thinking I would be pregnant 🤦🏼‍♀️ Yeah you will have to pay slightly more for the cancellation option but it will work out a whole lot more doing things last min! It feels worse to be at home still not pregnant and missing out 🙈

As so many have said, it is so difficult living your life whilst TTC. My hubbys friend had booked a wedding abroad and we quietly told them our situation about a year ago (going through fertility as now 2+ years TTC). They couldnt have been nicer about it and told us even if we booked last minute they would have space for us. No baby and a year later we are currently in a beautiful country, surrounded by friends, good food and the sun. I am glad we didn't miss out as we could have put off so many things thinking 'what if?'
Try if you can to live around it and things like holidays could always be rescheduled if you were heavily pregnant or had a wee baby. And at that point you wont mind rescheduling as you have that wee bundle in your arms. Means you wont miss out and can tale enjoyment from life in such a challenging time 💕

We have just been to Glastonbury and desperately want to go again next year but won’t with a small baby. If we are lucky enough to be pregnant when tickets go on sale we won’t bother (if due before) but if I’m pregnant at the time then we will probably get tickets! I don’t think you should cancel any plans you can take a baby to, travelling abroad with a baby is surprisingly easier than you think compared to a toddler 😂

We are in the same with us re planning holidays! We live in NZ and are meant to be going to Europe for a wedding next year but l would have a 4 month old in 30+ degree heat if I got pregnant next month.. seeing as we may be doing fertility treatment next month I have pretty much written off going away as I will hopefully either have a newborn or be heavily pregnant.. unless I don’t end up being pregnant for another year!! It’s so hard to plan things but it’s even harder when those dates come by and you still haven’t got your baby.
Today would be my due date with my first pregnancy and AF has just arrived today too.. can’t believe this date is here but I’m still stuck at square 1!
