Hey! Fellow pcos sufferer here I’m currently waiting for my referral to start treatment.. when I spoke to my local fertility clinic directly they said their waiting list is roughly 3 months. But obviously that can depend on where you live! X

Ah thanks for the insight, pcos is awful isn’t it! It wasn’t such a big thing for me when I didn’t want to conceive as the pill really helped with all the symptoms but now it’s like a minefield.
3 months isn’t too bad of a waiting list, I was expecting 6months + due to covid. I’ll make sure to reach out to my gp to see if they have any further knowledge in our area. Please keep us updated on your journey

Hi all, I am looking to start TTC journey aged 37. Had the implant since I was 16 y/o. Don't have any children although my OH has one from a previous relationship.

I know it is quite late compared to others but I have finally decided that I want and am in a position to have a child. I hope I am lucky enough one day to carry my own.

I had planned on getting the implant out in the new year and starting fresh but after reading difficulties on this thread I am wondering if I should bite the bullet and make a Dr's appointment ASAP?

My OH and I spoke about trying for a child in the next year or so but given my age, I want to be more realistic about how easy if at all I can have a successful pregnancy and I am worried about keeping the implant in too long and missing the opportunity.

If I were you I’d get the implant out immediately & start trying. It may not happen quickly or or might happen right away if you’re lucky. But best of luck with whatever you decide.

My difficulty wasn't conceiving after having it taken out (it took about a month or so for my periods to get back to normal) it was getting the implant out to begin with. That took about 3 months because they jammed it so far into my arm they were having difficulty retrieving. I even had a private appointment who said I would need an op to remove (I didn't - just persisted with GPs/various walk in clinics until I struck lucky). But if it feels near the surface I'm sure it's fine!

It really is! I don’t know how you are with taking tablets etc but I was recommended by someone on here to try inositol. After a few weeks of taking it I had a period for the first time in 6 months and my skin cleared up dramatically! Obviously hasn’t helped me conceive yet but I’ve definitely seen an improvement with the other symptoms of pcos!
I would definitely recommend speaking to your GP and getting yourself on the waiting list, wishing you all the best and lots of baby dust x

Oh god that sounds awful. Mine is so close to the surface that I've worried for the last year or so that it could get ripped out accidentally!

I know it’s early but I’ve just done a test at 9DPO and it was negative. (I got a positive at 8DPO for my pregnancy that ended in loss so I got my hopes up an early positive would happen again)
I’m right in thinking it doesn’t mean I’m out completely does it?

I would say you’re not out til your AF arrives. Fingers crossed

You’re definitely not out 9DPO is still very early to get a positive. Good luck

Got my v v v faint positive at 12dpo, definitely still time yet!!!

I'm 5DPO and yesterday I was feeling hopeful and excited. Today I got my cervical biopsy results which showed CIN2 and CIN3 (moderate and high grade cell changes which require treatment to prevent them becoming cervical cancer). At the colposcopy when I had the biopsy done a few weeks back, they said it looked low grade and gave the go ahead to TTC - they said not to wait for the results as even if it was high grade we could look at options if I was pregnant by then.

I have an appointment for treatment of the cells at the start of what will be my December fertile window. I don't believe you can have the treatment if you're pregnant. So I need to wait until next week to see if AF comes - if it does, I'll have to have the treatment in Dec and then pause TTC for the next couple of cycles (can't have sex for 4-6 weeks after treatment). If it doesn't, and I'm pregnant, I'll discuss options with the doctors. I'm regretting not starting TTC earlier now.

I'm desperate to know now and there's a long wait yet! I don't think I got a positive until after my period would have been when I was pregnant last time. I think a bfn would be even more disappointing now that I know I'd have quite a wait before we can even try again.

hi, I’ve just had my first baby and I’m 37. I struggled to conceive (nothing to do with my age) but once my other medical problems had been tacked, I conceived very quickly.

I think if you know you want a baby then there’s no point putting things off x

Bfn this morning on one step - 13dpo but day of expected af. Had cramps and some light bleeding this morning but nothing since?! Af normally comes on with vengeance. Am I wrong to get my hopes up that it was false bfn this morning??? Going to test again in the morn with frer

CD10......Just did 2 purple CB opks, 2 testers, same urine sample, 1st test low fertility (empty circle) and 2nd test with same urine peak fertility (static face) I GIVEUP!!!!!!
Oh and yesterday i had flashy face on one test.
