My period is 4/5 days late depending on which app I look at. My periods are normally regular, pretty much to the day. But after my 2nd covid jab I had a 55 day cycle. My next one was regular (31 days) and now I'm late again.

I'm desperately trying not to get excited and just keep waiting for my period to arrive (literally DTD once this month as I've been super ill) 😩

We're only on our first cycle and I think my husband is already feeling the pressure! I know I need to relax a bit. I wasn't going to update my husband about my cycle either, but it's also obvious to him as we weren't DTD anywhere near this much previously.

My husband has a cold, was really tired after work yesterday and wasn't really interested in DTD last night. I ended up telling him it was my peak (static smiley) day which I think made him feel more pressured so we didn't end up DTD.

Am I right in thinking that yesterday (first day of static smiley) was our best chance? We DTD the night before (I'd had a flashy smiley that morning) and again this morning, but that was over 24 hours after I'd first had the static smiley so not sure if conception is still likely at that point.

Doing my own head in at the mo. I’ve started a new exercise class and I don’t know if my chest is sore from that. Or I have sore / heavy boobs. Also woken up feeling very sick this morning. But don’t know if I’m starting with a bug 😭 I wish pregnancy symptoms wouldn’t be so similar to numerous other ailments haha

My order of premom opks arrived, anyone else use these and the app? Are they reliable?
Saw that no one else has answered you which is strange as I think many people use this brand. I guess if we’re still on this thread ‘reliable’ may not mean effective!

I only started using these this month. I’d previously had a different brand whose app I couldn’t get to work. I’ve found this one easy to use. Decided to start earlier in the cycle just to check I’m ovulating when I thought I was. It appears some people have a slow increase in LH and others have a sharp increase, the latter may miss fertile days because of this.

I’d recommend waiting a little longer to photograph the strips - the colour is more pronounced after 10+ minutes - and to do it in natural daylight against a white background if you can. If you take all the photos in the same spot (again if this is possible) you can know you’re comparing like for like (a bit like control conditions for an experiment).

You can also track other symptoms which will adjust your ovulation day.

What I find extremely annoying is that you won’t know for sure if you are actually ovulating - I thought these tests proved you were but apparently not.

I use the premom app and I did buy some strips but I stopped using them! I found it a lot to test every day twice a day and still not even sure if I’d ovulated. I took a step back after that and thought I’d take a more relaxed approach for a few months.

i think I’ll use the smiley face ones if nothing happens after a few months.

I do like the premom app though, i think it’s quite good at prediction!

Hi everyone, long time lurker but thought I would make an account and join in the fun. We are currently TTC and (I think!) will be going in to our 4th cycle soon. I am currently 10DPO and have been having period type pains for the past day or so, so not exactly hopeful. You’re taught to do everything you can to not get pregnant as having unprotected sex once will 100% lead to a baby, and nothing is more frustrating than when actually trying to make it happen, and it doesn’t!

Will keep everything crossed for you. My first symptoms were period-like pains, so you're not out yet. 😊

Has anyone ever had positive OPKs for a few days managed to get a peak (easy at home) and solid smiley on CB, now 5dpo decided to just pee on a stick to see if my LH levels had gone right dow, and have a blazing positive Opk probably the darkest I have ever had read 3.07 on premom. This is a first for me after ten years on and off trying. My body is effed. xx

I’ve just listened to a podcast episode called Darling Shine - their most recent one on fertility with a specialist in Aus. It’s been so informative on what things you could test for if you think you may be struggling to conceive.

Does anyone else have to do Covid tests for work at a job that absolutely strips their mental health and they’re desperate for some time off but can’t take it?
I’m at the point where I’d be equally happy with either of these being positive. 😭

I'm a teacher so have to test regularly. I feel pretty awful atm, but it's not covid so probably yet another cold coupled with the fact that I had my covid booster yesterday. I feel like I've been constantly ill with various bugs since September but it seems that it's only acceptable to stay off work and rest if it's covid so I'm exhausted!

I’m a teacher too, it’s rough at the minute isn’t it?

Me too! Must be something in the air with teachers ttc! :ROFLMAO: The constant testing is exhausting, and I'm sure I've had every variant of the common cold in the last few months :( Definitely doesn't help with TTC, I can't be bothered to even look at my partner some evenings 😂 x

13 DPO and I feel like AF is on her way. Last tested first thing yesterday and BFN, will test again before bed, but feeling defeated already 😔
At least I’ll be able to drink at Christmas.

Af due tomorrow and managed to hold off testing so far 👍 going to test in the morning if I'm not on by then but not expecting bfp as not really had symptoms. Boobs been a bit sore but that's quite often a pms symptom for me.

Does anybody else feel like you might jinx pregnancy by testing even though it's literally out of your control whether it happens or not?😂

Good evening all! Coming up to a year of ttc for us, unfortunately I have PCOS and I haven’t had a natural period for most of this year which unfortunately means no ovulation either.
My gp has said that once we get to a year we can look into clomid. Does anyone know if there is a waiting list for this or will my gp prescribe? From research it looks like you’re heavily monitored on clomid so perhaps not a gp?

Hey! Fellow pcos sufferer here I’m currently waiting for my referral to start treatment.. when I spoke to my local fertility clinic directly they said their waiting list is roughly 3 months. But obviously that can depend on where you live! X

Hi all, I am looking to start TTC journey aged 37. Had the implant since I was 16 y/o. Don't have any children although my OH has one from a previous relationship.

I know it is quite late compared to others but I have finally decided that I want and am in a position to have a child. I hope I am lucky enough one day to carry my own.

I had planned on getting the implant out in the new year and starting fresh but after reading difficulties on this thread I am wondering if I should bite the bullet and make a Dr's appointment ASAP?

My OH and I spoke about trying for a child in the next year or so but given my age, I want to be more realistic about how easy if at all I can have a successful pregnancy and I am worried about keeping the implant in too long and missing the opportunity.
