About 12 or so years ago I was in a pub in South London, it was just a wetherspoons but I think a pretty old one. I don't know whether I'm allowed to name it, but can PM if anyone interested.

This story that happened to one of my best friends when she was around 4. When she was at nursery school her and friends were taken to a park round the corner for the afternoon, again this was in South London (again PM if you're interested in the park).
I know South London well and would love to know more about the pub and park in question here, but can’t seem to find an option to PM you...

i don’t think it would be a problem to name a pub and park where you’ve experienced something spooky 😊😊

Likewise, but perhaps @April773 has their own reasons for not wishing to?
Hi Guys. Totally don't mind sharing and as you say can't see an option for private message! I just wasn't sure.

The pub is The Postal Order in Crystal Palace and the park is Hillside Gardens in Tulse Hill :)

Thankyou! I haven’t been to either, as it happens, but I’m particularly curious about the park...👻

A bit of a tip...go on a miserable day. Trust me. It really adds to the atmosphere round there. I can't promise you'll see anything but its got a weird oppressive atmosphere but again, that maybe because I know the story! To you it may just be any old park 🤣👻

Kind of similar story regarding smells, my grandma passed away very suddenly while I was living abroad so I didn't get to see her until she was unconcious a few hours before she passed. I was obviously distraught and living abroad (I had to go back immediately after to go back to work) made it even harder. Anyway the day after I got back from the UK from attending her funeral I was in my room, still very upset, abd suddenly I smelt her exact smell, not sure if she wore perfume or it was just the scented talcum powder she always used, but it was so "clear" if that makes sense for a smell. I didn't see or feel anything other than that and it was very quick, but I have never smelt that same scent since
It's strange isn't it? I don't think you can even imagine what it's like unless you've experienced it. I've had times where I have had a random scent bring back a memory, but it feels completely different. It's as if you know somewhere in your subconscious that they're visiting and you can smell it as if they are in front of you. I don't think I will ever experience anything like that again!

exactly! I cannot decide if I found it comforting or just kind of confusing, but at the moment, I was crying as I had been for a long time, and it gave me a moment to just pause , albeit in shock

I want to hear what you think about this. This morning, I woke up and when I first opened my eyes, I saw a woman kind of hovering in front of me. This was the split second I opened my eyes. I closed them again and she was gone when I reopened them. She had light brown/Auburn hair and was a large build wearing baggy clothes. She was moving but on a flat level, not bobbing up and down as if walking. I don't think it was a dream as the room looked exactly the same the second time I opened my eyes. I mean is it possible to hallucinate when you very first wake up, if the brain is still displaying a dream but with your eyes open? The funny thing was, I wasn't scared at the time, I was only scared afterwards.

I live in a really, really old house and for almost 100 years it was owned by the same family. One of them, the daughter, was born and died here and absolutely loved this house. Our neighbour says she sees her in the garden often (but she is a nutter so I laugh that off a lot, I've never seen anything)

Shortly after we moved in, my son and I were in our kitchen. There is the original back door with massive knocker, the house has been extended past it so that door is now an internal door. There was no one else in the house and all the external doors were locked.

I absolutely jumped out of my skin when the knocker went. Absolutely not the wind or anything else. It was a really friendly, jaunty knock, nothing scary about it at all. If my son hadn't been there too and heard it I'd have thought I'd imagined it.

My husband thinks I'm mental and still doesn't believe me. I managed to compose myself and said that they were welcome to stay but please don't scare the children. I've heard nothing since (thank god).

Men never turn away massive knockers. 🤭🤭

Years ago I was working with a new girl in Sheffield city centre. She has been finding work difficult and struggling in her role.
In the midst of all the traffic, noise and fumes, I could suddenly smell an overpowering scent of lavender. I wasn’t aware that it was lavender until she asked if I could smell it too, which I could. It was really heady and strong. So then she told me: her grandmother had worn lavender and sometimes when she was down she would smell the scent and feel comforted that her grandmother was watching over her🥰
There was no explanation for it, we were in a busy, noisy and smelly concrete jungle and it vanished as soon as it came. I also found it comforting ❤

Often when I'm awake in the small wee hours I see shadows and lights out the corner of my eye (plus, occasionally get whiffs of cigarette smoke [we've lived here for many years and nobody smokes]) ... of course I go to look, but nothing is there.

I recently bought a ghost detector device as I was curious ... the activity that it constantly produces is at the maximum, and always in one part of the house. I'm not scared, and aside from looking curious at times, my pets aren't spooked either.

I posted earlier about my parents house having the previous occupants husband die in it, and he’s since caused some activity.
My mums been unwell (and frankly a pain in the a) the last few months/year and she’s always scratching and itching as a side effect of meds.

anyway, she showed me yesterday some cuts on the understand of her boob, coming up to the middle of her chest. Fine long cuts. Like the type with a thin knife - no way she could have scratched because her nails aren’t long and simply the angle is as if someone would need to do it from the front to cut up and around, or down and around. They had scabbed a tiny bit too.

It’s so weird. No way she could have done or nor anyone else. My dad also mentioned the dog had been barking a lot and acting up in the night. Does anyone have any suggestions?! I said to him we might have to ‘have a word’ again

Thats quite unnerving, the physical side I mean. When activity ramped up at my old house we asked a medium to sage the house, she also sprinkled holy water in the activity spots. It worked until I moved out a year or so later.

yeah, we’ve never dealt with any physical aspects before. I just can’t see another explain because there is so many of them. It’s about 5cm wide area of cuts.
I think I’ll speak to my dad, and see how it’s going and I might try to find a medium.

That's really scary. I think I must be on similar meds to your mum, I get itchy and scratch myself but I've never had what you've described. Best of luck!

Erm well I’m a practicing psychic medium, so I just had a feel. Who knows though as don’t know the person etc xx
The house is long gone so I don’t suppose we will ever know now. It would have been lovely if she could have told us where
