I believe we are reunited with our loved ones x
i do too. i’ve read too much about people who have suffered near death experiences and clearly remember seeing family members who have passed. and numerous stories from people working in hospices/end of life care who say patients start saying they can see loved ones in their room with them in the final days. i believe it and also really want it to be true 💙

My best friend died 20 years ago. I vividly remember two visitation dreams I had. I’ll never forget them. Very different from a normal dream or a lucid dream.
he’s not visited me since and these dreams happened within the year of him passing.

he was a kind soul, if a little complicated.
This was prior to social media but about 15 years ago I went to a psychic and towards the end of the reading she said my friend was here and said his name!!! She described him and his death and said he counselled young people and kids who have passed over. This has always stayed with me because this was my friend to a t.
I know a lot of people will scoff at this all but i know in my heart this was him and the psychic was bang on

I took my mum to see a live medium show a while ago (hes been on tv)
a while after we had found out seats and sat down and just before the show was due to start an older woman and her elderly mother came over to us and said we were sitting in their seats we checked and to our mistake we were sat on the row behind the ones we should of done fair enough we moved forward they made quite a big deal about it which I thought at the time was a bit ott as half of the theatre was empty and they could of literally sat anywhere anyway half way in to the show they got choosen and had a message come through I could be wrong of course but I honestly think they were stooges and in fact part of the show
This wouldn’t surprise me at all. After I had the conversation about the woman getting flowers at my one and the person I was talking to said that happened when she was at one it made me think. The show I was at seemed to have a lot of regulars that the medium was obviously familiar with and at one point this woman got a reading after the medium described who she was talking to and it turned out the medium had paid for the woman’s dads grave stone at some point. Just seemed a bit suspect in hindsight.

Longish post, sorry.
I had a weird experience yesterday...I just sold my late parents' house, my mum was spooky, as am I and my sons. My youngest boy and I were talking about her in the car, got home and switched the car off, the radio stayed on (car locked).
"Haha granny's sending us a message". Big pause and a different song came on then stopped abruptly.
Later I was scrolling on a YouTube cooking page that I follw and a random US pastor appeared down the page...same name (first and surname) as my mum!

Happy to see this thread reappear!.

Like others I do think you can 'open a door'. Not sure if I've said this before but about 10 years ago I went to see a medium, it was a group type thing and I didn't get a reading but on the way out he caught me and said "you could do this if you wanted to" and I was like nope!! as although I enjoy the paranormal I also enjoy peace of mind.

I did another ghost walk this year and it wasn't a patch on last years, all very hammy for want of a better word so nothing to report.

I really do hope there is something after we die. It breaks my heart to think this could be it and, tbh, I've been really struggling with that since my passed

I was reading stories about ouija boards a few days ago. If anyone has done one, what made you do it? Did anything happen?
I’m too scared to ever do one just in case 😅
My Mum used to do them. This was before I was born and she would get her friends over most weeks and they would do it much to my Dad's disapproval. It always amazed me she did as she was very religious.

It all stopped after one particular session where one of her friends started acting very strangely and talking weirdly and they could get her out of it. Totally freaked them out and my Mum never did anything like it again.

I went to see a medium earlier in the week as part of a large group. The lady didn't actually approach people but said who was with her and people raised their hands.

She said at one point I have a Lizzie (my paternal grandmother's name) and I didn’t raise my hand as I didn't want the attention tbh. She then said oh well she just wants you know know she's spending time with Trevor (my fathers name) but Trevor's still alive. *I've changed the names but both are less generic.

I am sceptical but still a little blown away that she would put those two names together randomly. I don't think I'll tell my dad as he's in his 80s himself and quite an emotional person. But food for thought!.

I had a strong feeling my mum was going to die and something took over me and I was booking trips away to places she'd never been like Cornwall and really packing them in. Then after a horrendous trip into the wilds of Yorkshire only to be told they had no record of our reservation, which I'd booked by phone, I had to drive all the way home, and after that she officially hated me and refused to go on a trip I'd paid for to York.
Two months later she was on a life support machine and she died five years later having never recovered.
I never told anyone about my premonition until after she died. I honestly felt like I was possessed for the four years I went into overdrive. My family must have thought I had a screw lose during that time. You can't just say to someone "I think you're going to die!"

My mum has very recently passed away and we found her, we went to the funeral directors earlier this week and I just wasn’t in the right headspace so we went out and about afterwards for an hour. Anyway that day I saw so many dogs in really unusual places and it felt like a sign from mum. I know sounds mad but it’s comforting. Not seen any other dogs this week at all x
I hope you do keep seeing signs. ❤

I spoke out loud to my granddad this evening and told him if he's around, I want to see proof and want him to show me.

I feel like I'm literally going nuts even speaking that out loud 😂 i am starting to believe more and more though. I've been reading a lot and I so hope it's true

My best friend lived in a really old massive farm house. Spent most of my teen years there cos we kind of just got left alone to do what we wanted.

I’m terrible to get to sleep, slightest bit of light or noise gets me that annoyed I can’t sleep, so I’d often go sleep in the room next to my friends cos she would annoy me with her snoring and mumbling.

Always had this really odd feeling in that room but used to push it to the back of mind and force myself to go to sleep. One night I woke randomly and instantly got that horrible feeling when the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Sat up in bed and the rocking crib in the corner of the room was rocking. Save to say I never stepped foot in that room again and put up with my friends snoring from then on!! When I told her in the morning she just laughed and said yes that happens often!!

Not a ghost story as such, just a weird thing that happened. A few days ago, first thing in the morning, my husband opened the press and took out his jar of vitamin tablets to get his dose for the day. He had bought them 2 days before, so had taken 2. When he opened the jar.... it was empty! We were the only ones at home those days, and neither of us sleep walks, so it sure was perplexing. Later I was doing some artwork - pen and ink to be precise, and when I went to put the cap back on the pen it had disappeared into thin air. I was heading out so just improvised with a biro lid. When I returned home later, there, sitting bang in the middle of my drawing, was the pen cap! It was so weird because there was no-one home to have found the lid and put it teasingly in the middle of my drawing. It all felt creepy. Perhaps we have a poltergeist 😒

Love this kind of stuff love when I stumble across a thread like this haha.

I remember been around 8/9 ish and I was standing in my nans kitchen, she had a phone on the wall (anyone remember those haha) and I was stood next to it looking out of the kitchen towards her bedroom (it was a bungalow) and a all black figure came out of the door and started walking towards me. I screamed and it went away. No idea to this day what it was and no one had lived In the house before as they bought it when it was built.

my mums been to a spiritualist church and thought my grandma had come through to her as she mentioned something specific, that she saw her reaching into a tin and breaking a kitkat in half, my grandma always had a old celebration tin full of kitkats at the side of her chair.

my grampa passed a couple of years ago and I miss him terribly, I dream about him often but the dreams not usually about him he’s just there in it. I see robins sometimes but I know they can be a cliche. I’ve asked him for help getting jobs but the universe must not like that as it’s never worked out. I would love something from him to know he’s around though. Guess it’s just a comfort thing.

I’m not sure if I’ve posted here about living in a haunted house. Well it really changed my perspective on the world and life and death. I do believe there is an after life and things beyond your understanding but to actually experience a haunting everyday for a couple of years was petrifying and mind bending.
It was the most frightening experience of my life.

I'd say I've never actually seen a ghost but had a few experiences where I've felt a presence or had what I can only describe as a bad vibe or I'm being watched.

In one of the first places I remember living at as a child I wouldn't use the downstairs bathroom as I could always sense a bad vibe (one of those feelings where everything in your body says don't go there) coming from that room. My parents always said it was weird that I'd happily go use the upstairs one as a lot of kids would be scared to go upstairs on their own. I'd have been no older than 4 or 5.

At my grandparents house whenever we'd visit I'd always make sure I was never left alone as no matter what room I was in I'd always felt like something/someone was watching me but it wasn't a bad vibe like the other experience. Felt this presence my whole life up until they downsized when I was about 18.

I'd never do anything to try contact or reach out to loved ones who've passed on. I'm too paranoid about inviting bad spirits into my life. I just tell myself when it is my time I'll be reunited again with everyone who has passed on before me.

For those who did the Edinburgh vaults, did you go to Greyfriars Kirkyard? That can be spooky, with a really interesting history.
Some Harry Potter names buried there although JK said it's coincidental.
I can’t remember if it was there I went, but I remember being on a ghost tour in Edinburgh when I found out the true meaning of what a graveyard shift is, I just thought it was the nightshift not about the people listening for people incorrectly buried ringing a bell to say they’re alive!

Not a ghost story but I’d an early miscarriage in October last year and have attended therapy for years for various other things but my therapist told me it might be a good idea to give the baby a name but cause I didn’t know whether it was a boy or girl I went with a name that can be used for either gender so I picked the name Robin. I go for a big walk most days up a nature walk near my house and I swear the little Robin redbreasts literally follow me along that walk everyday some do come up really close too, it may be nothing but can’t say I ever noticed so many of them before, it’s comforting in a way, there seems to be way more of them I’ve noticed if I’m having a hard day.
Robins are said in Celtic folklore to be psychopomps which bridge the line between this world and the next, it is thought that they represent the spirit of a lost loved one when they follow you or land close to you x

I find myself freaking out over the slightest thing if I've been reading about scary stuff. Like sometimes my dogs will just stare at something - a random corner of the room or a clearing in the forest - and if it's a normal day I'll just assume they saw a spider or a rabbit etc. If I'm already freaked out, I'll obviously assume they're trying to save me from an army of ghosts and/or murderers.
I’m billy big balls until my husband goes away for work and then I crap my pants 😆

The last time I went to see a medium (recommended by the friend who came with me) each time she came up with random names, I answered no. I was poker-faced throughout because I really wanted her to come out with something which was not generic. Unfortunately she did not come out with anything unusual. I recorded some of the session also, which she agreed I could do.

I am generally a very private person and never post my life on Facebook, but I do now wonder if this is where some of them get their information from. It is very easy to glean even the basic information about a person on that platform, so I think that they must see the name booked in and get to work being detective! 😂

I have only seen one medium who came up trumps with anything concrete about my life and that was 40 years ago. Unfortunately, there are too many who see it as a fast buck to make and honestly, I could not live with myself to be trampling on other people’s grief and sorrow.
