This isn't my Ghost story, but my lovely dads. I find this the most impressive sighting iv heard of as there were multiple witnesses.
My dad is retired now but used to work in ceramics- namely sanitary ware. He used to work for a company called Twyfords Bathrooms. He was based in the office and managed all the workers on the factory floor. This one day he had a bit of trouble with one of the lads- a man named Percy. So off he went to find him. Percy worked on the factory floor in the slip house. In ceramics the slip house was a huge, messy place where the clay would be prepared so it could used to make the sanitary ware. As he was walking around the slip house looking for Percy he got side tracked and began talking to another man on the factory floor, during this conversation he mentioned he wanted a word with Percy and it was during this conversation my dad caught sight of Percy. So my dad paused his conversation and apologised for cutting the conversation off and shouted 'hey percy! Percy! I want a word with you!!!' But Percy carried on walking, so my dad was on a mission now and he kept chasing after him shouting 'PERCY!! You come here!im talking to you!' But Percy just ignored him, which angered my dad. Percy then walked up some steps seemingly ignoring my dad, his manager. My dad was becoming more and more angered and at this point was really shouting him.
Other men on the factory floor began to stand and watch this scene play out, probably sniggering under their breath.
As my dad started to climb the steps after him he saw Percy walk towards a door but instead Percy didn't walk through the door, he walked straight into the wall and vanished. As my dad stopped there in shock, everyone else just did too, mouths wide open. Their stares and silence only breaking once the dirty figure of the actual and very real Percy came bounding in to the slip house off his cigarette break! My dad said that looking back he should have known it wasn't Percy because his overalls were bright white- spotlessly clean. Not dirty and full of clay residue.
So this sighting was in broad daylight, when people were fully awake and there were multiple witnesses. I really don't know how anyone can explain this away.
Apparently there were a few deaths on site, mostly men who worked on the factory and died of heart attacks. I wonder if it was one of them. The factory no longer stands, it was demolished a few years back. But on top of it stands a massive new housing development. Whenever we drive past it we all say 'I wouldn't want to live there!' I'd love to know if any of the residents have seen the ghost we lovingly now refer to as 'Percy' as they sit on their sofa or fall asleep in their bed.
I hope Percy finds peace and stops wandering around the factory floor. Xx
