I have a friend like this too.. I am also like this as well, but I haven’t really tapped into it, I tend to block it off as yes it’s draining but last year I picked the Melbourne Cup winner 2 months in advance (they weren’t even favourites at the time or anywhere close to it). For anyone that doesn’t know, the Melbourne Cup is the big horse race that happens every year in November in Melbourne, Australia.
I also have an upcoming important hospital visit and I knew the date I was going in before they even called me with the date
That’s crazy I get little things and big things too in 2004 I was 14 I picked the winner because I got told by spirit it would win! And it did I always think of a random person then they contact me people not seen or heard from in years I also know when freaks me out I also pick up on friends headaches and colds without them telling me the people closest to me I get their pain sometimes wish I could switch it off tbh! I find if I put tv or radio on I always get a message and also I see signs from the universe all the time if anyone knows about law of attraction I see 111 daily 🌈🪄😳

Same thing happens to me, I’ll be thinking of someone and then I’ll get a message or call from them and it’ll spin me out 😂
I see 111 a lot too!

I think seeing 111 is a good sign though 🔮🪄also like if I’m going through a certain situation I put radio on and the song playing will have like an answer or lyrics about what I’m going through very strange

I was always quite a sceptic till I worked at my last practice (I’m a vet nurse). The practice was two Victorian terrace houses that had been knocked through into one and people would always notice strange things happening but only on one side of the building.

Our kennels were in the basement and I’d frequently come downstairs to find food bowls tipped over and food all over the floors even though patients had all been discharged for the day. I’d bring my cat with me when I was on call by myself and he’d often stare at the same place in the hallway frozen to the spot for ages 😳 You’d hear bangs and crashes upstairs when you were in the basement too.

I was really upset about a patient I’d put to sleep once and when I came downstairs after, the radio station changed stations to play a sad song! Also had a night doing stock take where the phones kept ringing each other internally (only on the ‘haunted’ side of the building). Ended up running outside crying 🤣

Not really a ghost story but… we lost a baby mid pregnancy, and on the year anniversary of losing them (we’d also had another loss at 3 months after and decided not to try again) we went away with our toddler just for some downtime and to appreciate what we did have.

Anyway, with everything stacked against us - it was too late in my cycle, I’d had to have my mmr again and was told not to get pregnant and we only did it once that week… I came home unknowingly pregnant. During that pregnancy I lost my two surviving grandparents, I hated every moment of being pregnant and did not think I would be going home with a live baby. Anyway I did… and the baby was born with a big stork kiss on their forehead. It’s believed that stork kisses are where the babies are kissed by angels and I truly believe that my gran and grandad kept the baby safe throughout the nine months.
My oldest was born with a big stalk kiss too - and he was a double rainbow baby, born after two miscarriages.

When I was about 7 months pregnant with my son I was in a newsagents and an elderly man came up to me and said ‘You’re expecting a boy, aren’t you? He’s going to come early but don’t worry he’ll be fine’ He even went on to say the date he would arrive on.
I knew I was having a boy anyway, so I then told him this. He said he had predicted all his own children’s sexes (this was before scans/ gender reveal). He even knew when his daughter had miscarried 😞

I finished work shortly afterwards and my boy was born 5 weeks early! Literally popped out and surprised us! And on the date he had said….

We lived in a old terraced house when my son was small, he came down one night and said he couldn’t sleep because the man with no head in his bedroom kept him awake, the kitchen was always freezing cold and you could smell tobacco smoke despite us not smoking. One day myself and my husband were stood washing and drying up and he let out a scream and said he felt someone rush up behind him. We did some research and a gentleman had hung himself in the bedroom upstairs 😥 we soon moved because he would turn things off and on and slam doors it was awful.

My grandmother's story, not mine
In her parents' house they had a broken cuckoo clock. It had been broken for years but since it was one of those large grandfather clocks, they just kept it in the house as an ornament.
The day after her father died, she was in the house with a bunch of people (her mother, her sister, I think my mother and my uncle were there too) and they all distinctly heard the broken clock sound the hour, which it had never done and never did again after that.

My dads mum was psychic she comes from Romany gypsie heritage five years before I was born she woken from a nap told my dad she had dreamed of two blonde boys and a blonde girl and said that this would be my dads future kids ( she was right) my dad met my mum two years later.
---
I was also born on my great grandads anniversary of his death he died in the 60s before my mum was even born. Anyway back in the 90s my Nan was in the house alone she had one of those big like clocks with a bird on if you know what I mean cuckoo ones ? On my birthday it stopped at the time of his death and her watch was smashed now no one else had been there ? She told me this few months ago now freaky
---
And the weird thing I was born quite a lot of weeks early and crazy I was born on great grandads anniversary

Mines not a ghost story but one of things that I feel happen for a reason. When I was pregnant with my daughter I went to visit my great nan who was in a home. This was in February and I was due my baby on 31st march. Now when I visited my nan she wasn't poorly as such just general things u associate with old age and as I walked out the room I said to her I'm going to have this baby on your birthday nan. Now indidnt know this would be the last time I saw her as she sadly passed away 2 weeks later. But low and behold on 1st April my nans birthday I gave birth to my daughter. Now I know there was a very high chance she would be born that day because she was due the day before but for me to say that to her and it be the last thing I ever said to her I like to think she had a hand in that. Now my daughter has her name as her middle name. It was a comforting memory for me

I stayed in Colchester at the Red lion hotel with my two year old last week, really ancient place, 14th century coaching inn I think. We were in room 10 which is one of the oldest and has the exposed old wattle and daub there behind protective glass. The man on reception did warn me it was one of the haunted ones so I was almost disappointed that I didn’t experience a single chilly feeling or a ghostly-going on, was a fairly comfortable night even though I had to get up a few times and creep about to go to the loo.

But at 7 when my son woke up, he looked at the chair in the corner and said ‘oh, lady gone!’
Just looked up The Red Lion, Colchester. Must have been Alice Millar? A lady in a chair? 😮

there was a programme on TV few years back about sleep problems. Sleep paralysis was one of the segments. The women they spoke too had experienced it several times a week for years , Where a witch slowly crept into her room and then climbed on top of her and begins to strangle her. It sounded terrifying but weirdly people all over the world reported seeing the same witch when experiencing sleep paralysis
This is exactly what happened to me 2/3 times when I was late teens, early twenties in my parents old house. Someone sitting on my chest, witch like. I was screaming at the top of my voice, struggling to breath or move… then I’d wake and run into my parents room next door to say sorry for waking them up (as I’d been screaming). They were fast asleep and I hadn’t actually screamed. Terrifying

Freaks me out as I’d never heard of it, knew about them…. To hear other similar stories is 🫣

I’ve had sleep paralysis happen to me before, it hasn’t happened to me in a while though but I would get it quite often and it freaked me out so much

Yeah I looked it up since, the only ghost that fits that description- wasn’t a rocking chair but just one of those fusty old hotel padded jobs. I’d definitely stay there again, I really liked the character of the place.

Christ I shouldn’t have gone down the rabbit hole of reading the old posts about sleep paralysis in this thread just as I get into bed myself! Horrifying!
