This is absolutely heartbreaking (Sorry to link Daily Fail) https://www.archive.is/oldest/https...d-three-children-says-haunted-sons-words.html

Fluffyrabbitslippers - I am very much of the opinion Avery is guilty but I do think the police had an involvement in tampering with evidence to make it even more apparent he was?

I have been watching a really interesting documentary on Sky Crime called Buried - anyone seen? it's about a woman who claims to have remembered a repressed memory of her Father killing her friend when they were 8 years old.

I'll have a look for buried, I'm sure there book about it as well
I am erring on the side of guilty for avery, although at times I think is he that stupid ?
However I also can't quite get on board with the police going to such lengths to set him up

Just finished Buried and wow, I cannot recommend it enough. Total rollercoaster of a case and I went back and forth on it so much.

I’ve just been listening on Audible to one of the West children’s books about the whole thing from her perspective (Mae).

It’s absolutely chilling to see from yet another angle how manipulative and sociopathic both Fred and Rose are / were. They could make their children really believe that they had genuine love for them, but in reality neither of them was capable of love for anyone at all, including each other.

Mae describes how, when the younger children were taken away by social services, Fred and Rose decided to pretend those children had never existed and resolved to start having more babies to replace them. 😨 Rose liked little babies in a superficial way but lost all patience for them once they could walk.

Also, about the infamous note that Fred wrote to Rose before he killed himself in prison which appeared to some people to have been a love note. Mae says she thought that the note was written by Fred as an expression of mockery and that he meant to impress on Rose that he would still be controlling her after he had died.

Obviously, just knowing what these people did makes it obvious they were both monsters. But when you hear a perspective like this from one of their children it impresses even more how evil they are / were.

Have any of you guys watched Hailey Elizabeth? I think her videos are pretty disrespectful and noticed after researching cases she’s covered myself that she often gets a lot of facts wrong. Just comes across like she’s in it for the wrong reasons

I think her videos seem very respectful personally. Which facts did she get wrong, specifically?

Does anyone have any ideas on what happened to Michelle Bettles? Just watched something on Iplayer. Wasn't that interesting really, but felt so sorry for her dad. Bless him, he was so lovely.
I really hope they get some answers.
Interesting that Steve Wright(Ipswich murders) lived there around that time though

The Long Island Serial Killer case has recently had a big update as they’ve arrested a guy called Rex Heuermann. The evidence against him seems very compelling.

Really into these types of cases too, I think a lot of the more interesting cases are older because they could get away with things a lot longer.

I really like learning about the older UK cases the most though, Fred & Rose West, the Moors Murders.

On YouTube they have every episode of Crimes That Shook Britain and it is basically my go to show when I am cleaning or working and need something to listen to.
Try Crimes That Shook Australia. I don’t know why but the Australian crimes seem just that tiny bit more horrific.

Tired of seeing the same cases repeated over and over again in documentaries, specials and podcasts.

We don't need one more bleeping Bundy series.

Has anyone been keeping up with the Stephanie Harlowe drama? It's crazy...she cheated on her husband, videos surfaced of her being absolutely horrible to him. Took away his children, spread lies about him. He took his own life and now she's parading around a man 10+ years younger than her. Can't watch her videos anymore!

Old post I know, but I’ve just finished this and it is a fascinating case. Personally I’m inclined to believe her, but at the same time I can see why the conviction against Franklin couldn’t be sustained. There’s a difference unfortunately between what the outcome of a trial should be according to the process and whether I believe the person in question is innocent.

I always felt there was something off about her. She gives gave dark energy vibes in her videos and her eyes gave this emptiness that I could not connect with. Is she being investigated?

not that I know of! I haven't watched her since all of this went down. She was annoying me before anyway the way she was SO judgey and always biased and opinionated on every case.
