I really like Stephanie Harlowe. She's also just started a podcast called crime weekly which is pretty good. She has just covered the Jon Benet Ramsay case which I know a lot of people will have been over many times, but I enjoy Stephanie's take on things. Her YouTube channel is great also.

They got so unlucky with that surveillance footage. Yeah, I believe that one or more of the construction workers was involved in Jennifer's abduction and that is was possibly a case of human trafficking. It's so weird how there are no real leads in her case to this day even though her parents have put everything into it - and they acted really quickly, almost immediately, once they heard she hadn't shown up for work that day.
Her case makes me sad because she was seemingly so clued in to personal safety - but she made a big mistake when she bought that apartment in an unfinished development with lax security.
I watched that too, it was horrific wasn’t it. I do think they went into a bit too much detail though about what was in the pictures/videos - especially the ones the woman was grading right at the end. I know it’s the reality of it but I found it quite distressing hearing it in that explicit detail.
True crime stuff fascinates me - I listened to the Case File episode on the creation of the Silk Road site on the dark web and the subsequent arrest of the guy behind it all, all the details of how they investigated it are absolutely fascinating. It was very different from other pod episodes which are largely around missing people, murder etc. so it just stands out for that reason.

I listened to this one too, knew nothing about it before and it was so interesting! I think MFM maybe did a podcast on it too not long ago if you like them (I swing between liking them and finding them super annoying ha!)

Anyone watching The Cecil Hotel/Elisa Lam series on Netflix? I'd never heard of the case, it's a weird one with lots of twists and turns, I would recommend giving it a watch.
I am saving this to watch as I’m moving house at the weekend but it looks so good! I’ve listened to a few podcasts about Elisa Lam so know the case but hoping there will be a bit more about the hotel too!
I know the Cecil was the basis from American horror story hire which I enjoyed too so I find that quite cool ha.

Yes omg I watched a YouTube video on this (Eleanor Neale I think) and she presented it as it happened so the killer was a twist and it was so good.
I had to really force myself to stop watching at ep 2 so I could go to bed last night ha A part of me thinks she was drugged and confused by the hotel/hostel(the doc said certain floors are one or the other) but then another part of me wonder why she would go in the water tank. Its highly possible its one of the tenants(they said they had ppl fresh out of prison etc) and she got friendly and they druggedher and killed her.
Funnily enough I was reading reviews of the hotel ages ago and so many commented on how Amy is a right cow and just awful, i got that same vibe from her in the doc....and why call your mum before the police? wth?
