There definitely used to be a website but even when it was up it wasn’t entirely clear to me what the business model was. Travel agent? You couldn’t book anything from what I could see. Travel advisor? Maybe. What it definitely was doing was promoting deals at resorts and hotels so maybe there was some sort of sponsorship going on?
His top 5 most viewed vids alone have 40m views. I’ve heard him promote a travel agent “friend” who he’s driving business to so there will be a deal behind that. No idea what his engagement is like on Instagram.
I un subbed ages ago because it’s just the same unrelatable content all the time. I do watch but I’m not waiting for them to drop. I do think he’s engaging and the cheeky chappy wearing Primark NASA sweatshirts and ripped jeans in a $10k first class flight is an angle that will appeal to some. But when they start introducing the partners/family into the mix it all starts feeling very self indulgent. I don’t want to see his dad eating steak or look at his girlfriend’s very large arse waggling around in front of me in a train aisle.

God I cringe each time the timbs and nasa crop up.
Give him his due the editing is usually pretty good but I hate how he cheapens his videos with the 'a few moments later' inserts.
And the drone use is so obvious in his hand. To me, if you can see you're operating a drone in the video, then don't include it.

I used to really enjoy his channel and now it seems all comped luxury experiences which gets super boring.
I think it's sweet he brings his parents along sometimes though. I would too.

Just watched some of the latest smugfest. A luxury sleeper train journey, which, you've guessed it, "doesn't come cheap".
Millie must have a strong stomach. I don't care how many luxury trips that tw*t took me on, I couldn't stomach him smirking as me (as he does to Millie in this video) without bringing up my luxury breakfast.

He always speaks like he’s reading off a script, where he inserted as many words as possible to make himself look smart and eloquent but just ends up looking like a pompous try hard.

I honestly think, for all the 'experts" out there, much is down to luck. People all do the same thing, follow the same tips and strategies and some hit big, some don't.When you put it all together like that the numbers make more sense. For Trek Trendy and for the others where whole families seem to be living off YT only.
I still don’t get it though tbh. The name doesn’t fit the content, the NASA thing is so annoying, the skinny jeans are cringe worthy and his trips have been covered by others. He’s also more inclined towards shots of his boots going up the steps of a train than anything substantial. I guess YT is the new showbiz though. There’s lots of actors and singers that make me go “why” too! Of all the people who tried to make it this guy has an acting careerMaybe Trek Trendy isn’t actually a real mastermind of the algorithm and he just got lucky!
With Trek Trendy I really think travelling during pandemic did it for him. He was only one making content. Morally it's highly questionable, and he really comes across as entitled in some of his pandemic era ones, complaining certain things are missing etc. But it did give him a platform in a very quiet market.
And his videos are also actually pretty good, aside the issues we've mentioned (plus the plastic gf). He does show off the product well, so his engagement is probably pretty strong
100% agree with this! It's pompous travel stuff which promotes his over inflated ego. He never really changes the format of 'Moet, DC, kick off the Tims, caviar' and that ridiculous smug look when he slows down the camera on his face. He is clearly a Narcassist and lives a privileged life, after all how many of us can afford £20k holidays? He will run out of ideas soon but how he gets millions of views everytime is beyond me

See I disagree on that tbh, if I could afford it I'd do it. I love that era and always wanted to try that style of rail travel.
That said, he doesn't make it look as opulent and specisl as I expected

I agree with a lot of what has been said here it's the same content & routine just set to different scenery. Even on menus he goes for exactly the same & he never changes it up even small things like that may keep a little interest a little longer. I do also think he's getting a lot of help from the bank of mummy and daddy to fund these trips hence the appearances they make. While I find his videos informative it's kinda rubbing everyone's noses in how often he gets away &miles he clocks up which you're average Joe & about 99% of us would never manage to achieve in our lifetime. He also I find could show us his fun side & personality but it appears unfortunately as though he doesn't have one. I mean like look at Jackie from super Enthused in central Florida. Yeah she's not to everyone's taste but at least she tries to inject some personality into her videos& injects some life into the channel. Trek trendy has as much life injected as dead resuscitation. No amount of life support could give this Chanel life If you have a look how often do you see him smile? Not much & he says he enjoys the trips maybe he should tell his face. If I were there I'd at least look like I'm enjoying it.
