Yep.

His use of language for me is what exposes him and lets him down. He tries so hard to be intelligent sounding, while also appearing nice and humble. But it fails so often. He comes across as smug, entitled and very patronising.

It’s one thing to say “I went on this Uber expensive trip”, but to do so in a manner where you feel condescended to straight up in the intro is a whole other level.

Yeah I think that's his biggest problem.

I admit, he does a lot of things right, and fair play. But he has a very set template for every video, and the problem is they all start to look and sound the same regardless of subject.

Just watched Trek Trendys new train offering and its dull AF! Not watched him for months so decided to give it a go. I can confirm this one trick pony is one of the most boring guys on YouTube!!! He has taken his dad along for this borefest! Sipping 'Dom' and behaving like a spoilt child, his disturbing smugness and old before his time behavoir is a complete turn off for me. He really needs to change his content and stop thinking he is some kind of royalty. His obsession with everything "Nasa' is very weird and who on earth pindls a badge to their lapel of their suit jacket to go to dinner???? Its clear he was born in to money and dosnt know what the real world is all about.

According to his youtube his channel has had 140,320,244 views. So actually if a million views gets you £7000 to £10,000, he is on yo a great winner. You could be talking over a million pounds so far

I found one site saying he was born in 1990 which seems a bit more realistic.

Although he's further proof all that eating and drinking travel lifestyle isn't great for you (like themepark and cruise vloggers)

Good point about them not really being travel based.

I wonder if he wears the NASA stuff to troll people, given how many viewers comment on it. He really is like a David Brent character. If I didn't know better, I'd assume he was doing a comedy sketch that parodies travel vloggers rather than being a serious one because it's all so affected and cringe.

Influencers will do anything for engagement, the deliberately post the wrong thing, spelling mistakes etc etc. So the nasa thing could be that. I've watched most of his videos and I don't think it's ever been explained.

I remember him threatening to go on a diet last year and do more in the gym, with the diet he has, he is more on track with a gout problem.

I've always thought he had the look of Henry 8th about him lol

He's falling into the standard youtuber trap of making himself ( and his gf) the stars moving away from just showing the product.

He doesn't really show that much of the product these days anyway, especially on the cruises.

I get that he's a 'travel reviewer' but it seems like such a waste going to all these various places just for a night or two, or sometimes just a few hours. He might be able to tick off countries from his list but it's hardly the same as visiting them properly. His body clock must be screwed!

I don't really think he is a travel vlogger really, it's more transportation reviews. Even when he does cruises he doesn't mention the destinations.

I'm staring to think he's getting bored. He is meant to upload every 3 weeks, which is says on his channel, but this was 4 weeks.

Even if he was away you can upload and schedule in advance

I’m getting bored watching him. I can’t believe I’m saying this about trips I can’t easily afford but it’s all the same ole same ole. Show us something new. You can’t tell me this is all there is to luxury vacations.

Has anyone figured out his real job/former job? I see in another thread that someone mentioned his parents live in a very posh area. So there’s likely family money but there are lots of guys doing the same trips with far less views so he’s not filming anything unique.


Rocky Mountaineer, Orient Express, train across Canada, Queen Mary to NY - these have popped up in my recommends so many times I wonder if anyone on board is not a YouTuber!! But the other channels do not get the millions of views. Makes me wonder if he has a background in marketing or something because his success is baffling to me.

Take the train across Canada. Jeb Brooks, Wingin in with Paul Lucas, DownieLive all did this same trip. Trek Trendy gets 5 million views. The others do not! The content is nearly identical in them all.

A Disney vlogger shared their earnings for 1million views and it was about $10,000 for 1 million. These travel vloggers would have to be getting more than that since they (and often their spouses) seem to be living off YT alone and with a fraction of Trek Trendy’s views.

Hopefully someone has some more insight into him because I’ve been looking at his views and wondering what I’m missing for a long time

Ahh I see, thank you. He’s just not very funny, I agree with you. I’ve just watched his most recent vlog and I find him kinda bland and annoying

I used to watch all his videos, but the more he does these things to make him seem quirky (nasa, timbs, abbreviations) the more annoying he became and I stopped watching.

Plus he has quite a patronising manner, his smile/smirk and the way he says 'my lovely mum, my lovely dad' etc just comes across as insincere. No one says that I'm real life.

So he is currently in India, but there's something a bit off that doesn't sit right with me. Flies in in luxury, luxury car to luxury hotel to luxury train. Does some cringe tourist stuff (include wearing a turban) with no mention of the other side of India (the extreme poverty).

I know he isn't really a travel vlogger, just a luxury transport one. But it just all seems a bit tacky and tasteless, and dated.

It's like when he did the flight to Antarctica. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
