I too think that a lot of the inactivity was motivated by Yasmin's weight preventing her from going out in the heat and I think Lauren was wicked pissed off about that. You can see the impatience and boredom palpably in some of the talks to camera. Like where she says about not having any real content in any of the three vlogs and sorry about that but they'd done bugger all worth filming.

Moreover if you ask me she's edited the footage she did get to be ultra unflattering to Yasmin. Several shots of her "literally" wallowing in the pool, side by side shots of them both where even chunk Lauren looks tiny by comparison and a number of times when they were sat there trying to make out it was a fun time but they had nothing to say to each other or the viewers.

This holiday was booked over two years ago and it's been implied Yasmin paid for much of it as a birthday gift. Lauren has barely seen Yasmin since she moved but she had no choice about who to go on hols with as it was Yasmin's treat to her. I think it was cruel to expose that young woman to thousands of strangers looking and obviously feeling as bad as she did and it was pretty clear Yasmin was trying desperately to get back to the friendship they used to share and bloody Lauren just can't be arsed anymore because Yasmin's no longer near enough to be used as a free taxi service.

What would you suggest Lauren does about it though? Yasmin’s ‘condition’ means she’ll be hungry for junk food a lot so maybe she’s the one who suggests all the eating and I don’t think I could bring myself to just say no or comment on/ban the chips if it was my friend. I think I’d tell everyone else in her life to just be aware and focus on what’s going on everyday, not on trips where she shouldn’t need to deprive herself

Lauren could have chosen not to upload three self described boring as duck vlogs featuring her supposed bff in an array of wildly unflattering poses. She could have used the six days with a young woman she claims to love who looks frankly dangerously unwell to dig around a bit in confidence about how Yasmin feels about her health and well being. She could have - now this is an out there proposal - ordered a bleeping salad occasionally not deep fried trans fats and double puddings every meal and resisted buying the two dozen bags of chocolates and crisps to gnaw on in between as a way of encouraging her friend to stop eating her feelings to this deadly level. Yanno - instead of going out of her way to normalise their frankly bleeping appalling dietary habits.

Watching the third vlog- they didn't touch all those fresh salads and houmous and just ate chips and fish fingers! Surely it's too hot? :(

They ate like a pair of 7 year olds whose mum had left them alone for the weekend.

Well, she’s gone and got a palm tattoo. Won’t be long before she runs out of skin!

I mean, I don’t think there’s anything wrong her (or anyone else) covering themselves in tattoos until they run out of skin if that’s what they want to do. She does come across as only getting herself heavily tattooed because she desperately wants to look/be cool though. She needs to realise that being heavily tattooed isn’t a personality trait because she seems to revolve her life around it. Even actual tattoo artists don’t do that 😂

Exactly this. I am visibly tattooed. It’s not being “quirky” or “alternative” like it used to be. But she acts like she’s part of some niche group and bases her whole personality and life around it.

What would really be interesting is for her to say that she is not getting tattooed for an entire year and then see how long she manages to provide “content” outside of endless tiktok reactions.

I have a mate who works in a high end bridal/formal wear shop. They do proper fittings, special orders, whole wedding parties. They offer designer and bespoke dresses, alterations etc. She said that the vast majority of young women coming into the shop have tattoos and have requests relating to them. Most want to have dresses cut so that their back job or sleeves are shown off to full advantage and a few, especially those marrying in conservative churches, or those who have tattoos they regret because they're poorly done, faded, blown out etc or some because the tats they've got have lewd/sexual/horror/demon themes, want to cover specific body areas so the tattoos aren't visible in the dress.

It really brought home to me how mainstream tattoo culture has become in just the last decade or so when she said that. If the vast majority of brides shelling out 5k plus for a wedding gown have tattoos, it's hardly part of the alternative fringe anymore is it?

Yeah what I don’t like about Lauren is a lot of her audience seem very young (she’s so puerile with the squealing and the chips eating etc) :) and she’s influencing them to get lots of tattoos? I mean the Facebook group is like potatoes I need your advice I’m getting bullied at school. Nobody over 25 watches her to educate or inform or because her content is good, unlike Emily Boo :)

I mean I certainly got tattoos when I was 18-20 but they were well thought out, I don’t think a 30 year old should be telling an 18 year old they’ll feel better if they got heavily tattooed and it’s so cool etc

I only started getting tattooed in late 2020 (I’ve just turned 38). I’ve got about ten now and I love them but I am SO GLAD I didn’t start at 18! Even 21 seems too young for some people’s maturity levels.

I started at 18 and I’m 25 now and the two I got at 18 I’m in the process of getting covered. I have conversations with tattoo artists and other tattooed people all the time about how 18 year olds almost always pick something stupid for their first one and end up regretting it.

I definitely think a video about “what I wish I knew at 18” would be good content but not from someone like Lauren

Where are you seeing this?

And I’m sure a few years ago she said they are a waste of time, pain and money!
In general yes, palm tattoos are not worth it (painful & fade quickly) unless you get someone who specialises in them like Luke Ashley.

Ah, of cooourse she went to Bristol tattoo convention. Luke Ashley is a bit of a god when it comes to palm tattoos, according to my tattoo artist 😹
He'll come to regret having agreed to having his name associated with her when he realises how low is the esteem she's held in within the wider "tattoo enthusiast" circle.
😂 😂 😂
